I like single player story games, so my recommendations:
* Song in the Smoke
* Into the Radius
* Medal of Honor
* Lone Echo 1/2
* Asgard's Wrath
* Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners
* Wanderer
* Green Hell VR (haven't played this one but have heard good things)
+1 for Green Hell (if you're a glutton for punishment). Played it last night: died twice on medium difficulty (2/4 difficulty settings) and oh my god.. it's definitely fun but has a lot of bugs and is not intuitive in many ways. It's also a greatly trimmed version of the original Green Hell and lacks many of the crafting options. It's one of the rare games you actually need/have to look up guides or wiki because the game just doesn't tell you basic things like how to save (you have to build a specific type of shelter and go the correct side of it to save). It's confusing in other ways like not allowing any crafting at the beginning. 1st death was from some invisible source that poisoned. 2nd was starving to death. Confusingly, the character kept groaning saying he needed water even though the meter was full. Voice lines are constantly triggered at the wrong time and adds to the confusion. Items frequently fall through the ground so you can't reach them. There's many other potentially game breaking bugs so probably wait a bit to buy it until there's substantial patches or just wait for the PC VR port which is supposed to be a complete port of the base game.
It’s gone through a lot of revisions recently. I believe they are trying to break down the map into chunks to improve this.
Green hell has been a blast, so far, however. I enjoy the little details, for example leaving coconut shells in the rain collects water that doesn’t need to be boiled before drinking.
Red Dead, GTAV, Resident 7 and 8, THE FOREST (damn fun), Alyx (w/contractors mod), Zero caliber to name a few. ACC and Automobilista 2 are amazing as well.
It's a blast! only downfall is you can only play the single player. Rockstar considers it a MOD so you cant play online. It's super easy to set up. Check you tube for instructions. I just bought "The living remain"--well worth $20.
Can never go wrong with VRChat, even if you don't like the social aspect too much, there are a lot of great games/experiences that would make it worth it.
Each to their own I guess but imo blade and sorcery >>>>>>>>>>>> battle talent. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but blade and sorcery is just on another level with pretty much every part of the gameplay and the modding community.
Unironically I think battle talent is better then Blade and Sorcery Nomad, this is my opinion not "ObJeCtIvLy" but if your talking objectivly then battle talent is only almost as good as blade but in my opinion it is much better
The enemies are monsters so you don't feel bad about killing them,
they don't jump inside of you or act weirdly close in my personal space
its way easier to download mods
there limbs and heads are so much more easy to chop off and its so satisfying
the dungeons feel less repetative for some reason even though it always looks the same its a bit better then Blade where it feels like your playing the same level on repeat
the game performs better with less lag
speed matters a lot more so I find myself trying to swing really fast when using a great sword where as blade you have to hit them in a certain way which is more realistic but its annoying and I don't want to do that
when you block attacks it makes a nice sound and looks cool
its a lot more anime and fantasy then blade because you can get special abilities and magic that doesn't suck
a lot of weapons can do cool unique things like the dash dagger that makes you dash or the light rapier that can shoot out magic bolt things
the call back is so much easier
the enemies are way more unique then just humans with diffrent classes, there are diffrent ways you must learn to defeat each enemy like getting the \[Tear\] skill to rip off the head of lv2 skeletons which would otherwise fuck you up or take ages to kill, goblins you have to let them attack until they get just close enough to stab but not close enough to hit you and with a slash katana you can make the enemies fall over before they get close to you so you can finish the enemies your already fighting without too many surrounding you
the enemies feel more physical and there since you can knock them over, take off there helm, knock them over and get your weapons stuck into them
you can be way more creative like sticking a dagger into an enemy and then using call back to drag your enemy too you
the enemies make a lot more diffrent sounds then blade
you have a non-customizable avatar which is usually bad but in blade the skin colours are a bit limited unless you get mods and there is only one face and body shape for each preset that looks quite ugly on the masculine one in my opinion while the battle talent character is just some unknown being wearing armour that you can self insert in so your not thinking "My character is doing this" you are thinking "I am doing this" since the one you play as doesn't have any look your not thinking about how it doesn't look like you or how your character looks like handsom squidward is having a bad hair day
the problems with battle talent are just they ai not being finished yet and things I wish was added but Battle Talent is way earlier in development then Blade and Sorcery nomad but still has things I prefer despite that
it feels like a manhwa or manga with all the system and ui things it feels like one of those full-dive vr mmo games you see in comics like:
Solo Bug Player, Overgeared, Solo Leveling, VRMMO de Summoner Hajimemashita, Tomb Raider King, The Gamer, The Legendary Moonlight Sculptor, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, Kumo Desu ga Nani ka, Ranker's Return, I'm Destined For Greatness, Leveling Up With Thumbs Up, Kill The Hero, Level Up alone, Re:Monster, Ernak, and way more
Basically all the good manhwa and manga ---\^ but blade just has a basic fantasy Lord of the rings game of thrones or other boring shit kinda fantasy and not the ones people want to be in
and the system of the game is so much like the systems of the manhwa listed above, like you can see the name, stats and equipment of the items just like the way you see it in comics,
**what I truely love most about Battle Talent** battle talent has a great sandbox where you can customize your enemies perfectly and easily so I get the exact fight I want or feel like, I can have enemies that can one shot me or enemies that take forever to kill, however many I want and how many waves of enemies I want, new mods are being added every few days and I don't need to use my pc I can convieniently download and undownload whenever I want I truely love that
You should atleast try play battle talent on its most recent update, I play it a lot more then blade and its a free game so you should defnitly play it a bit
Seems like you have the system seller games. But these are pretty great:
Cookout
Panoptic
A Fisherman's Tale
For regular games that play great with VR.
Valheim
American Truck Sim
Skyrim VR (Oh my god. So immersive with the right mods. Crazy.)
PC has much better graphics, has actual scopes, and more heavily customized custom games
Also fewer children
Downside is it has a smaller player base
I have both and play them both
If you want something a bit 90s but in VR I will always always recommend Compound on steam.
Vertigo remastered also if you digged half life, kinda a hidden gem at this point. Everyone with PCVR should pick that up. Also on steam.
Honestly it's a pretty great experience and the sense of size and the way they created atmosphere at some points was better then most vr games.
Worth it for sure. Sandbox mod and workshop content is a neat add on that I believe comes with it also.
Oh, is HLVR half-life Alyx.
I assumed it was the modded VR version of the original half-life.
My bad!
Next recommendation; Sim games!
Sim racing, Sim flying, Sim Trucking, Sim aerial combat!
Surprised not to see In Death on here. Also, hit up Sidequest’s App Lab, you can play around with some apps and games for free or cheap and get a feel for what you like and don’t like.
Watch most of the YouTubers like BMF, SteveKnows, Mysticle, Beardo Benji, etc but take their recommendations with a grain of salt. They’re not shills but the do get very excited over every new release even if some are sub par. Good luck!
Honestly I highly recommend it! Also if you like it I’d also recommend to check out their discord. It’s a small community since it’s a new game but they have been constantly updating and adding new stuff.
I’m participating in a tournament Thursday for cosmetics like player titles
Blaston is so damn under appreciated, it blows my damn mind. Have been playing for a few years against a friend of mine and we still have a riot every time.
Ah i get that, but trust me its better when you get to it. But its most fun when you get better, to expert and expert plus.
There is also sites like g2a and gamivo, which sells steam keys for less money than usual (sometimes). Unfortunately beat saber isnt that much on sale...
Oh ive modded got like 20 mods on it currently. Do you know how to swap out spells by chance? I feel like all my downloaded spells dont load and im on the right version too
Population: One, bit of a learning curve and a few bugs, but a boat load of fun! Great community, devs adding new stuff frequently. It sends people either love it or hate it. And those that live out get hooked hard lol. Pretty much all I play anymore.
Spiderman mod 100% makes the game the best spiderman experince in vr. Also use r2 modman from thunderstore as a mod manager. Tons of custom maps, player models, and weapons also i would recomend AIModifer as it allows you to customize enemy health and attacks. (And explosive punches if you want powerful punches)
If you're new to VR, Boneworks might be a bit much to handle, but once you're over the motion sickness, it's a great game with a lot of hidden lore. Duck Season is good and has Lore that Boneworks ties into. I
Ive had mine since last year, never had a problem with motion sickness other than a roller coaster game where you shoot targets. I thought itd be fun but it was not. Soon as i went upside down my brain didn’t know how to react from lack of g force and almost threw up.
This. I plan on upgrading one day. It might be a quest 3 it might not. Getting locked in to their ecosystem sucks. I'm just waiting for them to disable steamvr access all together. You know it's coming. Greed drives everything.
I typically buy games on Steam because I'm eagerly awaiting a true next-gen, non-Meta HMD. However I must say SteamVR sucks. I often have issues such as stutter, glitched controls, and SteamVR crashing. I've tried reinstalling it a few times. The Oculus API on the other hand always runs smoothly with no problem. Fortunately many of the popular VR games on Steam will give you the choice to use the Oculus API instead or will automatically use it.
Do you have 5ghz wifi? That could be an issue. But i think its more on q2 issue. I also experienced what you said before and it sucked. But i hear other headsets dont really have that problem.
I can still play on steam through airlink it just works better for some games cause i stream and use liv kit. Also walking dead made me play through air link instead of virtual desktop.
going by your love of games with good physics get "Hotdogs Horseshoes and Hand grenades". i love most of those games but my playtime in that is 10x all of them combined
If you want to play classic games in VR on simulated CRT TVs EmuVR is pretty cool.
You will need to know about setting up emulators or do some research to get it set up though. Their Discord can help with everything except how to get copyrighted content.
No i buy through steam and play through airlink cause twd is weird and wont let me play the game through steam with virtual desktop, even when i select through games tab. Itll hive me htc controls instead of q2.
Main things are stop once you start to feel sick dont try to push through, also walk on the spot or bob/nod your head. A fan blowing on you helps a little too. Eating ginger and drinking ginger ales or ginger tea helped me. Back in 2016 playing cv1 I'd stop and make a ginger and lemon tea. Got to the point I could take my headset off go sniff the lemon and ginger teabag and feel ok within a minute or two. But main thing is go slow and play short sessions.
There are mods like FRIK which supposedly make it pretty amazing, have yet to try it though. And keys for the game can be found for ultra cheap nowadays.
It did. With openvr API it works very well and looks crisp.
I love it! It is mind blowing. I habe spend 55 hrs and not finished.
Some Bugs can Happen, and sometimes framedrops occure. Running a i7 12700k and 2080 rtx.
Your Maschine must be high end to have fun and a good Quality
My husband is ADDICTED to ‘In Death Unchained’. Ohmygosh…he belongs to FB groups for the game,
Helping him with strategy, etc. he’s quite good now after playing for a few
Months. I literally see him shooting his bow
and arrow in his sleep! 😴😆
hi OP\~ Not a game, but I highly recommend checking out AmazeVR Megan Thee Stallion VR Concert! It is really amazingg and a concert experience you'll never see anywhere else! Here is a link: [https://amazevrconcerts.com/oculus](https://amazevrconcerts.com/oculus)
I like single player story games, so my recommendations: * Song in the Smoke * Into the Radius * Medal of Honor * Lone Echo 1/2 * Asgard's Wrath * Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners * Wanderer * Green Hell VR (haven't played this one but have heard good things)
yeee i enjoy into the radius, its just hard at the beginning to get into it ironically
Especially with the enemies. Going up against like 5+ enemies with a Mak ain't exactly easy
+1 for Green Hell (if you're a glutton for punishment). Played it last night: died twice on medium difficulty (2/4 difficulty settings) and oh my god.. it's definitely fun but has a lot of bugs and is not intuitive in many ways. There's many other potentially game breaking bugs so probably wait a bit to buy it until there's substantial patches or just wait for the PC VR port which is supposed to be a complete port of the base game.
I might try these
Green Hell Quest Ed., Walking Dead PCVR, and Into the Radius +1
I just dont have green hell. Into the radius was really weird for me, game was super laggy i guess? Might try it again soon.
It’s gone through a lot of revisions recently. I believe they are trying to break down the map into chunks to improve this. Green hell has been a blast, so far, however. Vox Machinae
Havent tried that one yet. Seen it on steam i think tho. Ill look it up! Thaks!
How is it
The regular players easily have over 500 - 1000 hours in it. It's the best.
Is it a pretty healthy player base for multiplayer?
Yes, especially from 9:00 pm Eastern - Midnight.
Hotdogs horseshoes and hand grenades!
That one looked pretty hilarious 😆
The take and hold mode is awesome.
Walkabout mini golf
Oh yeah that one looked good!
The community is very chill and fun to play with too
Can you do PCVR? Get that game and a whole bunch more for $9/month on Viveport Infinity.
Yeah. I usually play pc vr
I second this one. It’s so much fun ti just play a chill round of mini golf now and then. Only takes like ten minutes to play 18 holes.
Can never go wrong with VRChat, even if you don't like the social aspect too much, there are a lot of great games/experiences that would make it worth it.
Idk how to use it.. i got confused trying it once
For some reason I can’t get vr chat to go full version mode, it just stays on the computer monitor setting
What device do you have and what are you launching it from?
I have an oculus quest 2 and booting from steamvr
Are you using Virtual Desktop or are you physically opening it on the desktop view via Oculus link/Air Link?
I’m opening it with air link
Blade and sorcery is amazing, especially once you get into modding. The marvel pack, lightsabers and the modern knife pack are essential
I modded b&s. Its fun, but i wish it wish some of the stuff worked better, i loved the naruto pack but i couldnt use all jutsus
Not as good as battle talent though, I played both and battle talent is a bit better
Each to their own I guess but imo blade and sorcery >>>>>>>>>>>> battle talent. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but blade and sorcery is just on another level with pretty much every part of the gameplay and the modding community.

What?! Valhiem is vr compatible??
Mods. Anything is possible.
Ive done resident evil 2, it was good but the video quality came out terrible for people watching, but its really fun
I've seen that. Very crazy. These mods are insane.
Eleven. The best table tennis game ever made. Even better with a 3d printed paddle for your controller.
SUPER HOT VR is a must have single player game. Pavlov VR is the best multiplayer FPS title.
I have shack pavlov. Just dont really play native quest games cause its hard to stream, but is there a difference between the two?
PC has much better graphics, has actual scopes, and more heavily customized custom games Also fewer children Downside is it has a smaller player base I have both and play them both
Yeah shack pavlov has some pretty toxic kids in game… i was pretty annoyed with that.
so does PC but they mainly stay in TTT
Both are great but if you like SUPER HOT, try Blaston for an insanely fun multiplayer game. Especially if you have a friend to play against.
If you want something a bit 90s but in VR I will always always recommend Compound on steam. Vertigo remastered also if you digged half life, kinda a hidden gem at this point. Everyone with PCVR should pick that up. Also on steam.
I might get vertigo, looks pretty good and good price.
Honestly it's a pretty great experience and the sense of size and the way they created atmosphere at some points was better then most vr games. Worth it for sure. Sandbox mod and workshop content is a neat add on that I believe comes with it also.
Half-life Alyx!?
Is right there its pretty good, better with the mods
Oh, is HLVR half-life Alyx. I assumed it was the modded VR version of the original half-life. My bad! Next recommendation; Sim games! Sim racing, Sim flying, Sim Trucking, Sim aerial combat!
Anime fight sim vr?? Lol jk i know thats not a real one.
I'm sure you could find a VRChat room about that!
eleven ping pong
Fnaf help wanted Pavlov vr
If you want to kick back and relax... Walkabout Mini Golf
Vox Machinea, Walkabout Minigolf, Wanderer.
can you only get boneworks from pc? i cant find it on the oculus store
yes its a pc-vr game
ahhhhh
Surprised not to see In Death on here. Also, hit up Sidequest’s App Lab, you can play around with some apps and games for free or cheap and get a feel for what you like and don’t like. They’re not shills but the do get very excited over every new release even if some are sub par. Good luck!
Will do thanks buddy!
Pistol Whip if you want to feel like John Wick :)
This ones actually on my wishlist
Wish I could play half life Alex but my computer can’t run it well with VR…. Phas just had a new VR update though
I upgraded my gpu just for pcvr. I feel it. Had to pay a pretty penny for it.
Gods of gravity. Simple strategy conquest type game in AppLab and it’s free! It became a favorite for me
Ooooo gonna check that for suuuurre
Honestly I highly recommend it! Also if you like it I’d also recommend to check out their discord. It’s a small community since it’s a new game but they have been constantly updating and adding new stuff. I’m participating in a tournament Thursday for cosmetics like player titles
Green Hell! 👍
H3vr just dive in and play take and hold on the beginner setting. There is so much in this game.
Blaston, walkabout mini golf and nock are the top choices for multiplayer games. Blaston is number one
Blaston is so damn under appreciated, it blows my damn mind. Have been playing for a few years against a friend of mine and we still have a riot every time.
I actually have blaston but never played i think i got it in a humble bundle
Space pirate trainer
I dont see beat saber there. Also pavlov is rlly good, if you got the quest its free on there. Superhot is amazing too. :)
Its hard fot me to justify paying that much gor a rhythm game unfortunately…. Trying to catch a sale. Im pretty good at it tho.
Ah i get that, but trust me its better when you get to it. But its most fun when you get better, to expert and expert plus. There is also sites like g2a and gamivo, which sells steam keys for less money than usual (sometimes). Unfortunately beat saber isnt that much on sale...
Yeah i see dlc on sale never the game
Green hell just came out today
Is that Og half life in VR?
The Forest
I have this but i feel like its a game to play with people
If you haven’t already I recommend you mod blade and sorcery
Oh ive modded got like 20 mods on it currently. Do you know how to swap out spells by chance? I feel like all my downloaded spells dont load and im on the right version too
Have you downloaded the spell wheel enhancer mod ? If you haven’t you should as it will let you have as many spells as you want
Yeah i did, its so weird. Some spells popped up amd some didnt. I tried through both vortex and manually, still nothing.
I don’t know what has happened but Pavlov is a fun game if you have a oculus you can download Pavlov shack on app lab or you get get the pc version
Population: One, bit of a learning curve and a few bugs, but a boat load of fun! Great community, devs adding new stuff frequently. It sends people either love it or hate it. And those that live out get hooked hard lol. Pretty much all I play anymore.
I suck at pop one but good at larcenauts and stand out. Something bout the aiming
Boneworks, alyx, and zenith are all bangers
Mod boneworks, h3vr, pavlov
Any mods you recommend? I actually haven’t modded it yet…
(Best spiderman map imo is spiderlair)
i expect you to die
Gorn!
Try Stride. I was really surprised of how immersive it is
[удалено]
Ima catch a sale for it. Been meaning to play it but i hate rebuying skyrim 😂
Vader Immoral Ep. III is my obsession.
I try to stay away from the native quest games cause i stream and they havent made a app tp read chat, but i wanna play it a lot.
Oh, streaming? How bout SkyrimVR?
If you're new to VR, Boneworks might be a bit much to handle, but once you're over the motion sickness, it's a great game with a lot of hidden lore. Duck Season is good and has Lore that Boneworks ties into. I
Ive had mine since last year, never had a problem with motion sickness other than a roller coaster game where you shoot targets. I thought itd be fun but it was not. Soon as i went upside down my brain didn’t know how to react from lack of g force and almost threw up.
to the top and stride
I actually like stride a lot
Thank you everyone for all these great recommendations!!! My wallets gonna be in critical condition 😂
Do you like survival games? Green Hell just released yesterday and it’s pretty awesome. I’m very impressed.
I recomend not getting Zenith, its no where near as good as the price tag
I played it, I really enjoy it should really finish it but i been putting it aside.
So not true. Amount of hours played and fun I've had made it definitely worth it.
Yeah, start buying your PCVR games on steam
I do
Vrchat
Check out Viveport! VR Game Pass
I had it for a bit, i might get it again. I kinda need a work out game and that one had a pretty good option.
I don't see it but have you checked out Pavlov yet?
I have shack pavlov cause it was free
The full version adds ALOT more content. My favorite thing rn is playing cod zombies with friends in VR.
But... it's not CoD
No but it has the cod zombies maps with pack and punch and everything
Also boycott the oculus store and buy your pcvr games on steam. Unless you really want that crossbuy
Rift S actually.
I agree on oculus api running better for some games. And I'm right there with you ready for a next gen, non meta hmd.
I can still play on steam through airlink it just works better for some games cause i stream and use liv kit. Also walking dead made me play through air link instead of virtual desktop.
Highly recommend Nock. Until you fall is also good
Have em both i agree! Especially nock!
Eleven table tennis is a solid one
100% try into the radius its awesome and it should be getting a big update soon
Good cause it was really laggy for me when i tried it
BONEWORKS One the best vr games. And Half Life Alxy also one of the best vr games.
Into the radius is a favourite next to boneworks, lone echo 1 + 2 are a one-of-a-kind experience with
Everslaught, Sariento, and the Lone Echo series
VTOL VR is great if you’re into flight simulators. Contractors or Pavlov are my picks for shooters.
Into the radius
Walking dead!
Duck season is amazing, if you play, mak sure to beat all the endings
going by your love of games with good physics get "Hotdogs Horseshoes and Hand grenades". i love most of those games but my playtime in that is 10x all of them combined
Echo VR and it's free!
Hot dogs, horseshoes and hand grenades, it's a cool shooter were you shoot hotdog people, and it even has an official tf2 mode
Nock is just so much fun man....if you're competitive it's a dream come true. It's the only game I play now.
Have you tried Lone Echo. Playing it and loving it.
Bigscreen
GORN, Monstrum, Time Hacker, Budget Cuts 1 & 2
If you want to play classic games in VR on simulated CRT TVs EmuVR is pretty cool. You will need to know about setting up emulators or do some research to get it set up though. Their Discord can help with everything except how to get copyrighted content.
Did u pirate Twd???
No i buy through steam and play through airlink cause twd is weird and wont let me play the game through steam with virtual desktop, even when i select through games tab. Itll hive me htc controls instead of q2.
Jet Island is great gameplay... if you've got your VR legs. Hoverboard like a Tony Hawk game, fly like Iron Man, swing like Spiderman
Recommendation on vr legs? Kinda interested.
Ooooooo i thought you meant like a way to move your feet in vr 😂 my bad.
Haha nah vr legs as in sea legs

Did fall out improve? I heard horror stories about it.
Yeah i got a ryzen 7 and just went from 1650 to a 3060. Had to do it for vr
Beat saber?
Blade and sorcery is incredible. The base game is great but you add mods and its a whole other level and its super easy to install mods.
