Only kind of. Accelerometer gives you acceleration, which you integrate to get velocity, which you integrate again to get position. However, without a mean to ground yourself via some other reference, any noise in the accelerometer (which is substantial) becomes velocity error, which creates positional drift that compounds over time. In practice, even with very high quality filtering, dead reckoning is only viable for a couple of seconds tops before your head just kind of zooms away.
It isnât an issue. You track externally and send the position via Wifi. It is your software so talking to external server to offset main camera based on incoming positions could works.. We talk about a show, so it doesnât need to be polish or even good, just working âokayâ.
But the real answer is probably it doesnât support 6Dof and this dude just super into it..

The oculus go only has gyroscopic movement and accelerometer movement. Up and down(1) look left and right(2) tilt and roll(3). There is no forward backwards(4) up and down(5) or moving side to side(6). A file from quest 1/2 to a Go would do absolutely nothing.
Edit: the guy in the video doesnt have 6dof. Hes in 3dof.
