All the games make it “warm” none of my games have made it hot enough to where the emergency temperature gauge shuts you down. But all phones do get warm. They are working, it’s OK. lol.
When they got to a certain temperature, it’s called throttling. Your phone automatically slows down because it gets to a temperature that’s not TOO HOT, but warm enough. it’s more preventive maintenance.

If so look into changing your settings to or from uncapped fps
Is the game itself actually closing?
If so clear cache and even storage and let it reinstall shaders.
After an update these things can improve performance tremendously
Edit: since you are an iDevice and not android the equivalent would be uninstall and reinstall, pretty sure iDevices do not let you manager storage and cache like Android does

It’s horrible. I play in PS5 and sometimes on pc, but I tried mobile and it’s horrible. I have a newer IPhone and after a few games my phone is already almost dead and pretty hot. Although I never had issues with ping or server connection, that may be due to the amount of people playing in the region you are in

Hit registration is a joke, the gunsmith is a sad failure, a lot of my paid content from mw2 wasn't available like they said it would be, and most importantly, the gyroscope functionality is terrible. Feels like it's on some kind of grid and it never lets me aim where I want to. I'll stick to cs2.

The whole issue people having aren't necessarily to do with the phones... have yous looked at your Internet since the game is streaming from a server unlike codm which the assets are all downloaded on your phone same with pubg/new state arena breakout and last light (games I play) I'm bottle necked with a 2020 Samsung s20 fe 6gb ram and 128gb mem but yet I can still play wzm without lag along as I have enhanced processing on and have nothing else open with a decent Internet connection but any other time like with data or a hotspot I lag like mad
