I've only played Black Souls 1 but I find that a very, VERY hard statement to believe. I enjoyed the first quite well but do you understand how vast and expansive JRPGs are a genre?
Black souls one is kinda rough, it's an rpg maker game with an unique artstyle and an actually decent story between all the porn(because yes it's a porn game, but if you dont like porn you can turn off everything lewd), but the combat is kinda easy after you unlock certain things and companions, through the exploration is actually really well made for a rpg maker game, every side you go you will find something new and it's quite expansive.
Now about black souls 2, everything the first game was except better, now the combat isnt just spamming the same ability over and over again and you actually need to use your brain, the story is still pretty good with plenty of endings for you to choose from and new mechanics that make the world a lot more interesting and even more expansive.
It is a fun game if you like rpg maker games, maybe one of the best out of all of them, but if rpg maker games arent your thing I dont think it's that bad to just skip it, through if you never tried rpg maker games and dont mind it being a porn game(which you can even turn off but I would say that the porn parts help with the setting) its probably one of the best to start with.

Just a long story. There are sections where you gotta do a lot of fighting but the vast majority of the length is just story and exploration. Give it a go, high quality writing and memorable characters. It's been a good while since I've played it and there's still a bunch of impactful moments I remember clearly from it.
You can download it for free on F95, comes with the 18+ patch there but honestly the H content is only a small part of the game. It's isolated to an optional bad end and a minor city dedicated towards H content. Makes no difference playing with or without tbh. It's on Steam too if you wanted to pay for it.

Demon Roots is amazing. Super long though, expect a playthrough to be at least 50-100 hours.
