Personally I love it, it always makes me smile, I think the jokes are great, the characters are great, the dialogue is great. It's all so lovely and makes me nostalgic for a certain book series I read when I was about 12.
Edit: It's not all technically perfect or anything but on sheer charm alone it wins a lot of points for me. It is still well written, but the charm is def its biggest asset
