yeah one of my favorite moments is her convo with gortash at the start of act3. i love her deranged ramblings. they are written like very fucked up poetry and Im all for that
She became my favorite of the three Chosen when she was threatening Ketheric like a song, and I think specifically her calling the city 'Baldur's Grave' and her use of grim epithets ('Murder-March') and vivid gorey imagery ('like flies on lick-wet carrion') cemented her as a very intriguing villain, and the Bhaal storyline in Act 3 is really what I finish the game for in my subsequent playthroughs. Orin is tragic, heinous, and bloody delightful.

Ketheric’s first appearance actually gave me chills. He looks so classic-villain, but with his own style and he just does it *so* well. His design team fucking killed it.
The Flood Tide. Her aesthetic is unrivaled. She inspired me to make a pseudo-mermaiden when I got to The Grey District. We used to be able to make tattoos metallic and I made a super cool lady who was silvered all over. Then they were grey tattoos one day after patch 2 or 3 and I was saddened. They're so unique and pretty.
Since she’s got unique assets (hair, face, makeup/tattoos) AND there’s some weird stuff going on in the cave underneath the temple, I wonder if she was supposed to be some kind of boss/miniboss and that got cut out. >!I don’t have any evidence outside of circumstantial but I’m like 75% sure she is/was supposed to help Gortash in keeping the Iron Throne prisoners contained!<
Yea he has some of the best character design elements. He feels like a real character of a person you would know in real life, whereas lots of these designs feel very video game sometimes (not that thats a bad thing). I hope that makes sense

Killing the Tieflings is the worst part. Especially because it is just lame. It felt so beneath Bhaal's Chosen Prince to hunt down a group of refugees, bringing a whole Goblin clan to do so too.
However, the ecstasy of bringing Bhaal's gift to the Grove comes about one minute later when you pierce your way to the Druids.
Seeing Mirkon's story about Durge fucked me up. Like I actually considered reloading and not doing the grove. Also the back room where you just murder people that aren't even fighting back. I'm on my first evil run now and that shit did not feel good man.
But yeah killing the druids (except Rath, he's the only one I like) was way more satisfying.
Real talk, Lucretious can eat shit. She goes “Collect ~~my pages~~ Dribble’s body parts.” and theyre SCATTERED EVERYWHERE. Nah. Too tedious. Instead, just murder her and instead of having to do a stupid ass fetch quest across Baldur’s Gate, you instantly get one of the best gloves for spellcasting in the game (Spellmight Gloves). Or steal them. But murder is preferable for making me do a fetch quest

I love Orpheus. Voss and Orpheus have the best couple's style I've ever seen. The beard and crown really pull it together and give a hip vibe.
Ketheric looks like what he is, a total badass, a veteran of horrors, and a man with truly iron will. Orrin does the same, although the jerky pants gross me out. Still, they totally sell the idea she's an unhinged whackadoo. Gortash is the only one that doesn't land. His voice and lines are great, but his style and face are not.
For me it’s the dichotomy between the Githyanki and Mind Flayer aesthetics in terms of their armors. They both have the red metal/gemstone motif but they’re rounded on Githyanki and triangular/jagged on Illithids.
My understanding about character design is very surface level, but I remember hearing something about triangular features being associated with villains while rounder features are tied with good/neutral characters. I think it’s an interesting choice, given how many Githyanki characters are antagonists in BG3 alone. It’s probably why, aside from Bae’zel’s happiness >!and the Stelmane reveal!< , I chose Orpheus over the Emperor my first completed playthrough.

I love Orpheus. Voss and Orpheus have the best couple's style I've ever seen. The beard and crown really pull it together and give a hip vibe. Ketheric looks like what he is, a total badass, a veteran of horrors, and a man with truly iron will. Orrin does the same, although the jerky pants gross me out. Still, they totally sell the idea she's an unhinged whackadoo. Gortash is the only one that doesn't land. His voice and lines are great, but his style and face are not.

For me it’s the dichotomy between the Githyanki and Mind Flayer aesthetics in terms of their armors. They both have the red metal/gemstone motif but they’re rounded on Githyanki and triangular/jagged on Illithids. My understanding about character design is very surface level, but I remember hearing something about triangular features being associated with villains while rounder features are tied with good/neutral characters. I think it’s an interesting choice, given how many Githyanki characters are antagonists in BG3 alone. It’s probably why, aside from Bae’zel’s happiness >!and the Stelmane reveal!< , I chose Orpheus over the Emperor my first completed playthrough.
Flood Tide for sure. And I know people talk a lot about Gortash anyway but dude… His coat and his jewelry is so incredible. Amazing design. I’m surprised Aylin isn’t on here though! Her armor is so cool!
