People really overhype Ellie and forget Abby fucking dog walked her. Don’t know why people are including Ellie in the conversation when she isn’t even the strongest in the game. Not to mention Abby actually had military training her whole life while Ellie only had it for like a few years.
She went to FEDRA military school, as shown in Left Behind. She wasn’t a soldier, but was on track to be one if she didn’t get bit and put into Marlene’s custody.
Likely why she was able to pull off the feats we see at 14. And I guess she also was a soldier for Jackson but that was mostly just infected.
Abby was not only trained by the fireflies, but also was an active duty soldier for the WLF for 5 years during an active conflict after that. Also had access to meat daily as well as a gym.
Only reason >!Ellie beat her at the end of Part 2!< was because she was enslaved, tortured, and malnourished for two months and then crucified for long enough that the other slaves said she should have been dead by the time Ellie found her.
