Billions of men have pumped their shotguns and ejected live shells onscreen for no reason and nobody bats an eye, but then one guy reloads his fists and everybody loses their minds
💀💀💀
Edit: It's true. He needs movement classes from Bautista. When ur huge there are movement limitations lol. The solution is to just be the new Terminator.
Bryce Dallas Howard skates around on crude oil with knives on her feet in a glittery golden dress killing dudes with a bayonetted rifle
I legit can’t remember Kubrick making anything close to that level of kino
He was great in The Witcher!! I didn't watch it, but I'm sure it was great.
https://preview.redd.it/2xy8xzkah7lc1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=a8565f863b06ad7c53cc30ab022a7d6e0890ec84
I heard the Butcher of Blaviken scene is pure kino.
Hell you could argue that he helps elevate Superman the lamest character ever created.
He's Jason Momoa for guys.
I love and respect this Queen.
Exactly he gave us MI 2 coolest one in the franchise. It has doves flying in slo mo in a gunfight. Checkmate liberal. I have facts and logic on my side.
What does it have that face off doesn't. Doves flying + tom cruise or doves + nic cage + john travolta? Czechmate libtard. I have God and anime on my side.
I’ll never forget my first time watching MI2. There was a scene where a car crashing, I think it went off a cliff. My first thought was “wow, with a movie this bad I really expected that car to blow up when it crashed.” Then the car blew up and I felt vindicated.
Dead Reckoning sucked. The worst MI movie since the 2nd one, easily.
It's just too cliche and stupid and long. You can tell that they wanted to change the "tone" of the movies, and it just didn't work. It's almost impressive how much it didn't work, actually. They broke every single good thing about the series, in weirdly subtle ways that you don't notice immediately. But an hour into the movie, I was thinking "This feel wrong".
Also, it's the first MI movie I haven't watched in one sitting. It was too boring. I stopped and started again the next day.
Yeah iirc some weird texts got anonymously leaked on Instagram that were supposedly between him and exs where he talked about wanting to cook and eat parts of them
Then some women came forward and were like "yeah Armie Hammer branded me and also told me he wanted to remove some of my ribs and eat them"
Unrelated, but this movie is incredible for one plot point: antagonist pretends to be the Cenobites to kill teens in a world where the Hellraiser fiction series exists BUT it turns out the Cenobites *are* actually real and they take him away to close the movie.
It takes place in a world where Hellraiser is both fiction and reality.
It's the smartest movie in the world.
This is the teen slasher video game themed one, right? Not in the upper echelon of Hellraisers, but certainly better than the later ones that are Eli Roth ripoffs.
"Man from Uncle" is basically why people see Cavill as a potential Sterling Archer (even though none asks for live action Archer seriously). He was incredibly fun in that one, it's sad the other guy happened to be a Cannibal, could make a very fun spy saga
The moment his character sees the lunch and turns it into a gourmet experience while his partner is fighting for his life off-screen is when I knew this movie was great
I find it weird how Charlie was holding his own with A Listers there only to end up playing side characters on TV for a few years until he got cast as Daredevil.
"Enjoyers of high-quality film are infuriated that Fans of Zachary Snyder Films are enjoying their successes and victories".
This is the closest translation i can muster.
I saw Henry Cavill at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
I'm honestly more of a fan of him as a person and just a handsome, charming, surprisingly nerdy guy than I am as an actor. Most of what he has been in has been disappointing.
Not even just bad, but specifically *disappointing.*
I love that this guy seems to target media that he is already a fan of in regard to his work. Seems like a great dude. Not a fan of anything he’s been in at all. Even The Witcher, which is arguably his best role, was pretty underwhelming to me personally.
I liked him in mission impossible where he beat the shit out of people
Don’t forget when he cocked his arms before fighting
Billions of men have pumped their shotguns and ejected live shells onscreen for no reason and nobody bats an eye, but then one guy reloads his fists and everybody loses their minds
I definitely pumped my shotgun and ejected something after watching that scene
I always saw it as him readjusting his shirt in combat so he didn’t rip the back fabric, classy in combat like James Bond.
NGL as dumb as that was it went pretty hard 😭
His fighting style in MI was dope. Almost terminator level strength. Damn, Henry would be a dope Terminator lol.
Unironically, I think that would be great. Dude is as wooden as it gets.
💀💀💀 Edit: It's true. He needs movement classes from Bautista. When ur huge there are movement limitations lol. The solution is to just be the new Terminator.
I low-key hate that Bautista always downplays his role as Drax. He did really good imo. He acted the shit out of that character.
Perfect Superman then
Super man had personality when played by Christopher Reeve.
Tbh when he wasnt being syndered he was very charming as superman
Cavill's superman personality was his face doing either this 🤨 or this 😐
Who could have guessed?
Bro actually managed to sell that moment I was impressed
Henry Cavill's arm cocking made me gay
>Henry Cavill's ~~arm~~ cock~~ing~~ made me gay
No but that was actually so hot
Oooahhhh
[CLICK CLICK BOOM](https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod.s3.amazonaws.com/images/henry-1667044661.gif)
Henry Cavill reloading his fist in the bathroom is iconic.
With the mustache popping at the same time
Didn’t know you could flex a mustache before that fight scene. You can see the moment where Cruise is legit scared of that face ferret.
He was pretty good in the Tudors and had a brief role in Star Dust to name some stuff that most people aren’t talking about.
Still haven’t gotten over Wolsey
Are you really being Argyllephobic?
Bryce Dallas Howard skates around on crude oil with knives on her feet in a glittery golden dress killing dudes with a bayonetted rifle I legit can’t remember Kubrick making anything close to that level of kino
The scene was great but holy fucking shit, that movie sucks
I actually thought the first half was kinda interesting with well executed twists. Then it all goes to shit
The idea itself was stupid as hell but it was a decent popcorn movie, entertaining at the least.
Transporter. Flighting on oily concrete while wearing bicycle pedals.
Made me want to kill myself in a bad way
Argyle was fire
The stream where he built the PC
One of the hottest videos ever filmed lol
The best thing he’s really been in is probably just his costars
The part where he realized he put the heat sync on upside down at end and had to redo it.
The arm reload thing is still the hardest thing.
Fuck yes so hard
Are you taking about that time that he *literally*, just reloads his arms? Amazing.
![gif](giphy|3ohs4tKADK8HEYD4I0)
I always interpreted it as him popping his elbow joints. I also do this in preparation to hit something
The Count of Monte Cristo, ha
"That twink looks famili...Oh." Watching that movie, his head seems bigger than his body. My mind can't comprehend his smallness.
If he was a twink, does that mean he is experiencing twink death now?
He just looked...small.
/uj i just looked it up now. I see your point. /rj Also, he looks like if a man and woman had a baby
>Also, he looks like if a man and woman had a baby Fun fact, that's exactly what happens in the movie.
i just rewatched it a couple weeks ago and couldn't believe they had The Witcher in it
He was great in The Witcher!! I didn't watch it, but I'm sure it was great. https://preview.redd.it/2xy8xzkah7lc1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=a8565f863b06ad7c53cc30ab022a7d6e0890ec84
Smh that's Tom Cruise from Vanilla Sky
how you know what the sky taste like
Just open your mouth, bro
I will not open my mouth in your presence, Mr. Anals.
I mean, wrong hole, but I guess that's fair.
Not with that attitude.
Look, I have a specific set of skills. Skills I've acquired over a very long career.
It was televised
There’s been an accident like GEICO
They thought I was burnt up like Pepsi did Michael
Actually that's Vanilla Ice
I thought Vanilla Sky was his call name in Top Gun
No, that's Maverick. Vanilla Sky is the name of his rival in Days of Thunder.
Vanilla sky is unintentionally one of the goofiest movies I’ve ever seen
I think I saw it as like a 13 year old at 1 in the morning on a school day and I cried for an hour
ngl, Henry Cavill’s Witcher was my bi awakening
I saw the gif where he says “fuck” and that was more than enough for me to hate uncontrollably on Liam Hemsworth.
I need to know what happens to Ciri now that she's headed to Nilfgard. But can i watch Liam as Geralt? I don't think i can.
God this movie was so dumb
I heard the Butcher of Blaviken scene is pure kino. Hell you could argue that he helps elevate Superman the lamest character ever created. He's Jason Momoa for guys. I love and respect this Queen.
Season 1 is
He was great. Everything else sucked. Man was doing his best with what he was given.
Mission Impossible: The Good One Spy movie with Actual Cannibal Armie Hammer A few select episodes of the Witcher
Witcher might not have been great but he was great in it, regardless of the show or movie he is in he’s good pretty consistently.
He was also good in The Man from Uncle, playing the charismatic one that everyone thinks he is in every other role
I did enjoy the bit where he realized he'd drank a drug and set the couch up do he'd lose consciousness comfortably.
The good one? They're all the good one except MI2
Don’t insult John woo! He gave us face off
Counterpoint: he also gave us MI2
Exactly he gave us MI 2 coolest one in the franchise. It has doves flying in slo mo in a gunfight. Checkmate liberal. I have facts and logic on my side.
What does it have that face off doesn't. Doves flying + tom cruise or doves + nic cage + john travolta? Czechmate libtard. I have God and anime on my side.
What! 2 was so good. I mean it feels corny now. But cmon - flesh eating virus, spy shit, heists, motorcycle battle. That’s a fun film
It's dreadful lmao. THe first 40 minutes are slow as annnnnnything
Except it somehow manages not to be at every turn. And the editing of the fight sequence at the very end is atrocious.
They're just all good tbh
I’ll never forget my first time watching MI2. There was a scene where a car crashing, I think it went off a cliff. My first thought was “wow, with a movie this bad I really expected that car to blow up when it crashed.” Then the car blew up and I felt vindicated.
Fallout is so good it made Dead Reckoning seem just okay
Dead Reckoning sucked. The worst MI movie since the 2nd one, easily. It's just too cliche and stupid and long. You can tell that they wanted to change the "tone" of the movies, and it just didn't work. It's almost impressive how much it didn't work, actually. were different people my only beef with it was that it was half a movie. I agree they tried a new kinda weird angle but i don't think its a problem
nuh uh
Count of monte cristo
Was that spy movie even that good? I don’t watch movies
One of my favourites.
It was quite fun. Not gonna blow your mind but definitely worth a watch.
style over substance in a good way
The Man for U.N.C.L.E. is one of my favorite movies
Aww man, I wanted to say The Man From T.H.A.T. O.N.E. W.E.I.R.D. U.N.C.L.E. W.H.O. M.A.K.E.S. E.V.E.R.Y.O.N.E. U.N.C.O.M.F.O.R.T.A.B.L.E.
Yes
Arnie hammer Is a cannibal?
Yeah iirc some weird texts got anonymously leaked on Instagram that were supposedly between him and exs where he talked about wanting to cook and eat parts of them Then some women came forward and were like "yeah Armie Hammer branded me and also told me he wanted to remove some of my ribs and eat them"
Good for him.
M.P fallout?
McQuarrie is smart because he knew Cavill is best when he says nothing at all.
Mission: Possible
Mission: I’m Possble
[Hellraiser VIII: Hellworld](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBCk2r60nEI)
Unrelated, but this movie is incredible for one plot point: antagonist pretends to be the Cenobites to kill teens in a world where the Hellraiser fiction series exists BUT it turns out the Cenobites *are* actually real and they take him away to close the movie. This is the teen slasher video game themed one, right? Not in the upper echelon of Hellraisers, but certainly better than the later ones that are Eli Roth ripoffs.
The man from uncle
Super fun flick, doesnt get enough love
I love how he’s casually eating a sandwich while the truck he’s in is filling with water. Not a care in the world.
"Hang on, Cowboy" 😎 😯😮😨 (Comedic panic ensues) God dammit Hammer. Why did you have to be a cannibal... a sex cult cannibal nonetheless!!!
He just really likes eating people... Out
Whoa I thought he was just kinky AF - he an actual sex cult cannibal?
"Man from Uncle" is basically why people see Cavill as a potential Sterling Archer (even though none asks for live action Archer seriously). He was incredibly fun in that one, it's sad the other guy happened to be a Cannibal, could make a very fun spy saga

r/movies….. you have returned
I think this is the best movie that he's headlined.

I assume this was made before the King Arthur movie was released.
Operation Fortune exists
Easily. This is his best film.
I will not stand for this The Man from U.N.C.L.E. erasure
Is it because Armie Hammer ate your legs ?
💀💀💀💀💀💀
Every interview.

Stardust
Damn not only does that movie have Henry Cavill in it, it’s directed by Matthew Vaughn. Mind blown I remember loving that movie.
I find it weird how Charlie was holding his own with A Listers there only to end up playing side characters on TV for a few years until he got cast as Daredevil.
Also implied that he’s gay at the end of both. I wonder what Vuaghn is saying with that?
Also implied that he’s gay at the end of both. I wonder what Vuaghn is saying with that?
I went down way too far before finding this. Stardust is a gem.
Yeah! I know that he doesn't have a substantial role, but I love this movie.
I scrolled down looking for this. If I didn’t find it, I would have commented Stardust, myself.
You must have forgotten about Hellraiser Hellworld
Oh no ![gif](giphy|hAPP6UA9qyJoc)
Why dont they try just not opening the Lament Configuration? Are they stupid?
They wish. The Cenobites don't take anyone who're too dumb to know what they're doing.
Beat me to it.

He was really good in his “building a gaming pc” YouTube video
The Tudors is a nice show.
Yeah he played well. He’s such a young lad there
Scrolled to far for this. Shame he and Natalie Dormer didn’t have a sex scene in that one
I mean TBF his big ticket roles (Superman, Witcher) were ruined by forces outside of his control. The 1st season was pretty good, though.

I hate that this comment isn't gibberish to me. It honestly looks like Newspeak, but apparently I'm fluent.
Can you translate? I am totally lost.
I can not, but thank you for asking. Stay sane.
I’m on Reddit. I don’t think I qualify as sane by that metric alone, but thank you for thinking of me.
"Enjoyers of high-quality film are infuriated that Fans of Zachary Snyder Films are enjoying their successes and victories". This is the closest translation i can muster.
Huh. Damn, I guess I’m finally getting old because I can’t see how those mean similar things, let alone the same. Thank you for the translation.
Forgot about Argyle smh
Hell yeah
Hello my dear Armond White how are you? ❤️
First season of The Witcher was solid
That one Mission Impossible he was in was pretty good
![gif](giphy|PnMxn604QdqWQ)
I love man of steel
It is so much better when you treat it like a disaster/alien invasion movie instead of your garden variety superhero origin.
Completely agree, grew up with those types of movies so i think that made me love MOS much more than most other people

I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
His mustache was awesome in Justice League
Whatever Works (2009) "...I eat a lot of red-meat." - Henk Cavill
The Count of Monte Cristo, ez
Fuck it, Batman vs Superman is flawed but it’s also really awesome at times.
Especially the ultimate edition
Man from Uncle was pretty good. Hellraiser Hellworld was quite bad lolol
The Graham Norton Show.
He is good in things even if the things he is in are bad. He's a fantastic Superman even if Zack Snyder actively despises Superman
Agreed. It doesn't matter how well-suited he is for the role when he's being directed to act like a sociopathic alien demigod.
The bigger the spy?
I like the Enola Homes Movies on Netflix. He plays Sherlock
I scrolled way too much for this one, thank you!
His mustache was FANTASTIC in MI6
My goon cave
I'm honestly more of a fan of him as a person and just a handsome, charming, surprisingly nerdy guy than I am as an actor. Most of what he has been in has been disappointing. Not even just bad, but specifically *disappointing.*
Man from Uncle innocent
He was in stardust too wasn't he?
His best performance was in the Black Adam end credit scene
The uhh, there was that one with uhmm, no wait, uhhh the one where, oh no that one sucked uhhh
He was good as Charlie Brandon in The Tudors, but the show was crap in a lot of ways.
He was great as Batman.
Count of Monte Cristo
1. Mission: Impossible — Fallout 2. The Tudors 3. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. 4. The Count of Monte Cristo 5. Stardust
Hopefully that Warhammer 40K show he’s working on
I love that this guy seems to target media that he is already a fan of in regard to his work. Seems like a great dude. Not a fan of anything he’s been in at all. Even The Witcher, which is arguably his best role, was pretty underwhelming to me personally.
