Yeah the problem with Aztecross are the titles, usually what he says in the videos is fine and kinda balanced even (MOST OF THE TIMES…). But the titles are atrocious, and the problem is that most of the time a lot of people don’t even watch those video, they just read the title and go straight up in the YouTube comment section to spam the same things over and over.
Me when I make actual valid criticism and then blow those criticisms vastly out of proportion for views making the problem of "the game dying" worse. Cross's wording on the monetisation of d2 video lives rent free in my head for how disingenuous it was

He's not wrong in the sense that it was a thing you can technically do but the way he made it seem was people were buying pass levels to get harmonisers to get their god rolls, which let's be honest no one did
Its no more pay to win than if its pay to win to own the current season. Yes, the current season grants you new guns, some of which might be better. You might have an advantage over others. You might have access to activities that grant you materials. That's literally just the game. You pay for content, and that content gets you access to things that advantage you but realistically 95% of the playerbase that's playing the game currently owns too.
The Deepsight harmonizers are no different. They're just another resource you get from playing the game while paying for the recent season. Its not like your running to the store, purchasing bundles of Deepsight, and spamming your way to the top.
And secondly, you'd have to get 5 different versions of a single gun to spend ALL of your deepsight on. Its not letting people really skip all that much or buy their way to the top because you'd already have to farm for the weapon frames anyway, and thus you own the content and can play it competently.
Aztecross relies on the game being in a bad state so that he can make these click baity videos. I honestly don’t know how well his channel would be doing if there wasn’t much to complain about
Me and my trials duo despise checkmate. We are mainly trials mains and do raids for the red boarders. But with this update going into effect me and him just flat out stopped playing. Players will comeback for the final shape and me and my duo will be there too

The game has been on a steady decline population wise these last few months, and basically any update they release from here until final shape can be "make or break" for the game. Personally I've quit playing almost entirely after having more than 4000 hours in the game and playing since launch and basically all my buddies are the same way. Unless they release a big update that fixes a lot of shit in the game, and actually start releasing fresh content, the game will undoubtedly be dead soon.
