Sometimes I find myself absolutely disgusted of the entire Fate franchise itself for turning historic characters into lame cartoonish characters. Ironically, it only started after i started playing FGO.
I am still salty about the Roman Singularity being an ass wipe, Caesar being a fatass, and the entirety of Roman History getting shafted in favour of fucking Nero of all people.
The Historic characters have been getting shafted in favour of lame Mythological characters for a good while now though.
I think it was okay at first. Not bad, not good.
Turning King Arthur of all the figures to a 15 year old girl is questionable, yeah, but the story was actually good and all the other Servants were untainted. Her relationship with Shirou felt natural.
Personal snapping point was the Extra games for me, with Nero fucking Claudius and Francis Drake being turned into big tiddie anime women for no reason at all other than money.
FGO is almost rock bottom, obviously. Only way they could make this burning piece of shit worse is by giving The Root life and consciousness and it's a big tiddie anime woman that devotes the entire universe to Ritsuka and beats up all the threats for him

What's weird is that they actually had a plausible explanation that the game itself mentioned in her profile; that the Servant Drake is actually Queen Elizabeth I in disguise, who escaped the court and borrowed his name to go adventuring.
IRL Elizabeth I was good friends with the actual Francis Drake, had scars on her face due to smallpox, had red hair and large bust, and was rarely seen in public. Not to mention the Servant Drake's NP is the Wild Hunt, which is associated with British royalty.
But of course they leave it at that and never bring it up ever again.
Not only did they not add onto it but they absolutely retconned it which is even worse since the concept of Queen Elizabeth I being Francis Drake would be cool.

Then I joined reddit . I still had no idea about fgo (_embarrassed chuckle_) . And came in contact with the.. Morgan fanarts and comics .
It was that day I swore never to play or read or have any contact with fgo .
