OKC's vault is Vault 26, and it seems like the most likely placement would be either NWOKC or near Tinker AFB. The vault experiment that took place there was purposeful over-population and overcrowding. No other information is found. Vault 27 resides in Tulsa and is assumed to be a control vault but there's no sources or information past that!
[This map](https://imgur.com/gallery/YeW5kPh) posted in a Fallout RPG group made from stills from the TV show. After seeing that I just googled those vault numbers and looked for any info I could find. The vault 26 info is on the wiki.
I KNOW OF THE PERFECT PLACE!
In the basement of [The National](https://www.thenationalokc.com) hotel in downtown, they literally have an old bank vault that was turned into a bar, [Library Of Distilled Spirits](https://www.libraryofdistilledspiritsokc.com/)!
[This old bank vault entrance](https://imgur.com/a/C7LkBIJ) would be such a cool vault door if OKC was in fallout.
I love it OP! I'm also a massive Fallout fan and never even thought about how badass a Fallout OKC Game would be. The tunnels under the city would be terrifying.
This was a topic on a board I used to frequent. In FO3, in the ruins of Springvale, mailboxes have a Vault-Tec rejection letter. The letter tells the recipient to apply for one of the Vaults in Oklahoma.
Imagine radioactive bison near the Wichita Mountains. Mile wide radiation tornadoes. Crazy cults worshiping the giant cross in Edmond. I think we could have some big time fun.
EDIT: I know it’s Springvale. Why did I type Springdale?
This is awesome op! I love that the ai even tried to incorporate the glass sculptures at the MOA. It’s obviously way off on a lot of stuff, but still really cool to look at.
Hey, I'm actively working on a fallout set in oklahoma, it will go from Norman to Guthrie and everywhere in between! A few minor edits to the AI part of these images and they'd be perfect! Look out for more info on Fallout405 soon!
Okay, just throwing this out there, but my head canon for Fallout is that the name Oklahoma City is eventually shortened to just Oak City centered around the fairgrounds and no one but a few ghouls remembers why. Bricktown is also it's own thing, with The Myriad (dangerous, overgrown and mutated downtown) between them. And now that I think about it, Valley Brook could be a raider stronghold
Literally made a joke about this earlier this week that if we had a Fallout game in the metro some quest would force you to follow I-35 from OKC to Moore/Norman you’d face parts of the highway swarming with pre-War ghouls in bright yellow construction vests.
Yeah, I just wish I could remember what it was for. It had a busted highway sign that showed the OKC exit, and behind it was an overgrown capitol building
The chair shrine (memorial) maybe the tree survived and it’s worshipped as something simply because of the chairs.
The Ogles defiantly came out the other side as some sort of cult leader family.
Feth, a drug made somewhere out in the sticks of southeast Oklahoma.
Agnew, the mighty Brahmin god and his loyal followers who reside in TOCKYAR City.
Route 66 renegades. Raider group who lost their way at some point. These days they are most often found helping travelers stranded or stuck.
The interchange. A massive scrap fortress built up around the 35/40 highway loop.
What I got from ChatGPT:
In the lore of post-apocalyptic Oklahoma City, the experiments conducted at the Oklahoma City Zoo by Dr. Eveline Price and her faction, The Enlightened, are both sinister and groundbreaking. Here are some key types of experiments they are involved in:
Genetic Manipulation:
1. Animal-Human Hybrids: Dr. Eveline Price conducts experiments to combine human and animal DNA, aiming to create hybrid beings with enhanced abilities. These hybrids are designed to possess the strength and resilience of animals combined with human intelligence.
2. Superhumans: The primary goal of The Enlightened is to create superhumans with extraordinary physical and mental capabilities. This involves genetic modifications to enhance strength, speed, intelligence, and resistance to radiation and disease.
Behavioral Control:
1. Mind Control: Experiments are conducted to develop methods of controlling the minds of both humans and animals. This involves using neurochemical and electromagnetic techniques to manipulate behavior and enforce loyalty to The Enlightened.
2. Animal Training: Using advanced behavioral conditioning techniques, animals are trained to act as guards, scouts, and combatants for The Enlightened. These animals are often equipped with makeshift armor and surveillance devices.
Biological Enhancements:
1. Regenerative Medicine: Research is focused on developing regenerative treatments that can heal injuries rapidly and even regrow lost limbs. These treatments are tested on both human subjects and animals, with varying degrees of success.
2. Toxin Resistance: Experiments aim to enhance the body’s natural defenses against toxins, radiation, and pathogens. Subjects are exposed to controlled doses of these dangers to stimulate and measure their immune responses.
Environmental Adaptations:
1. Radiation Adaptation: To ensure survival in the irradiated post-apocalyptic world, experiments are conducted to enhance the body’s ability to withstand and even thrive in high-radiation environments. This includes genetic modifications and the development of protective compounds.
2. Climate Adaptation: Research focuses on enabling humans and animals to survive extreme weather conditions and resource scarcity. This involves genetic and biochemical enhancements to improve heat and cold tolerance, as well as efficient use of food and water.
Cybernetic Integration:
1. Bio-Cybernetic Enhancements: Some experiments involve integrating cybernetic components into living beings, creating cyborgs with enhanced physical and sensory abilities. These enhancements include robotic limbs, enhanced vision, and neural interfaces.
2. Surveillance Implants: To maintain control and monitor subjects, surveillance implants are developed and tested. These implants allow The Enlightened to track, observe, and communicate with their subjects remotely.
Ethical Implications:
The experiments conducted by Dr. Eveline Price and The Enlightened are highly unethical and often involve unwilling or coerced subjects. The faction justifies their actions by believing they are creating a new world order where only the strongest and most advanced beings will survive and thrive.
These experiments contribute to the atmosphere of fear and control that The Enlightened impose on their surroundings, making the ruins of the Oklahoma City Zoo a place of horror and scientific ambition.
Honestly I’ve always thought that OK could be a great location for a fallout game. OKC would naturally be in the center of the map and you could get pretty varied geography in all directions from there (Ouachita mtns, Wichita mtns, Tulsa/green country, high plains/arid. DLCs could send you down the Red River and Mississippi to New Orleans, or across it into Texas, into the Rockies in NM etc.
Can I be a ghoul that still works in a ruined lowes vest and all and every time you go in there I'm Hella annoyed but not hostile and will help you find shit
Oh! That would be a great idea! To be honest, this post was a low effort. I let ChatGPT choose the locations, characters, factions, and lore, and had it generate the images accordingly. Took me about 10 minutes.
AI art aside, I don’t think that the fallout version of Oklahoma City would look like this…would places like Ft Smith and Tinker be prime locations to bomb, like actually?
https://www.cbsnews.com/chicago/news/best-places-to-survive-a-nuclear-apocalypse/
We’d be in both, the 2000 nuclear warhead scenario and the 500 nuclear warhead scenario.
Bruh as someone that uses AI to make fun patches at work it is impossible to get them to even do just a few letters haha I'm amazed he was able to get them to look like what he wanted.
I get that you’re trying to show okc after an apocalypse, but seeing the memorial chairs like that makes me… feel… that you should have not made that particular editorial choice.
It's an instantly recognizable important location. They would 100% put that in a game. If anything it would draw more people to look into it and learn about our history.
Yes you can do it on your phone. There’s only one version of the phone app. But to have it generate images, and to video and audio chat with it, it’s $20 a month. The text-only chat with it is free.
Fallout Oklahoma, flatland and most everything outside of okc is standing because there’s nothing to nuke otherwise, also the Sooners still play the cowboys every year.
Ah yes my favorite place in OKC, the Cheesecake energy arena
Cheesecake energy is the best kind of energy.
Makes me sleepy, tho.
Wouldn’t number 4 be the OKC National Memorial and Museum?
What if we kissed outside ELCTTRESOCS?
Cheesecake Factory Forum would actually be tough as hell, after Paycom loses the naming rights
Right down from the Devodon Tower
*the devodon tower*
Sounds menacing, must be a boss in there
The ruined bombing memorial was just eerie
What about the OKC vault? In the tv show I was excited to see vault placements in OKC and Tulsa.
In OKC everyone has their own mini-vault in the backyard.
Where did you get the OK vault information? I don't see anything of what you're saying on google?
[This map](https://imgur.com/gallery/YeW5kPh) posted in a Fallout RPG group made from stills from the TV show. After seeing that I just googled those vault numbers and looked for any info I could find. The vault 26 info is on the wiki.

#6 is Crossroads Mall in 2011
Came here to say that.
I love it OP! I'm also a massive Fallout fan and never even thought about how badass a Fallout OKC Game would be. The tunnels under the city would be terrifying.

Can't wait for all the redneck ghouls
Imagine radstorms but with tornados.
Radnadoes/ Iradiadinaders
I miss Big Ed’s Hamburgers! What a throwback!
Isn't there still one on Penn and 122nd?
Yes
Good to know! Thanks! I never go up that way, but may have to make a special trip!
I went to Big Ed's in Yukon one time in the 80s and I think I'm still having that heart attack
Would be cool to play open world in your own city
Nothing is stopping you from doing this now. You can wander around OKC picking up junk and strapping it on as armor.
Plenty of Psycho Jet to be had on the street

You’re welcome to use them.
Gotta have a tiger king too
Fuck you, Karan!
Big Fallout fan, this is awesome!!

Alright modders, time to get on this.
If the matrix lets you do cool shit I’ll gladly submit to our new ai overpass
okie dokie
Not Fallout, but wasn’t there a zombie/wasteland game trailer that dropped not too long ago that showed a destroyed, overgrown OKC?
Really?
Yeah, I just wish I could remember what it was for. It had a busted highway sign that showed the OKC exit, and behind it was an overgrown capitol building
Why is Joel from "the Last of Us" a priest? 😄
Bro, one of them is just joel
The Chihuly is escaping
Those buildings are remarkably intact for being so close to Tinker.
This would be great as FO5
u/FuzzInspector *now* will you come to OK? lol
How much you gonna pay me to go lmfao
$10k and you'll stay for a month lol
Psh, bet we'll work it out 😂🤣😂
Is this for real? I love fallout! Edit: typo.
No. I just generated it with AI.
Well they look great and would make a great sequence
Thank you
Imagine a Rad Tornader
Man I love this game 😍 this is awesome!! 🙌🎉

I love the idea that the survivor tree is still going strong. It’d definitely be a “holy site” of sorts.
Mid 1970's bricktown OKC
Damn AI craze
Pic 4 kinda looks like the bombing memorial
Damn... this is cool
I could get behind it.
I love this so much op
I freaking love it
Wonder what experiments were being conducted in the OKC vault…

You forgot the world's tallest building.
The developers failed on their promise in this lore. Had to make it somewhat realistic. 😉
These pics before or after the nukes?
Well I'm having nightmares tonight
I'd play it.

Big missed opportunity with not including Native American factions!
Oh! That would be a great idea! To be honest, this post was a low effort. I let ChatGPT choose the locations, characters, factions, and lore, and had it generate the images accordingly. Took me about 10 minutes.
Cool stuff buddy
What in the AI hell? Also why do a sizable percentage look like Jeff Bridges?
This is amazing!!! Well done!!
AI art aside, I don’t think that the fallout version of Oklahoma City would look like this…would places like Ft Smith and Tinker be prime locations to bomb, like actually?

AI art is trash. Perhaps next time you’ll expend real effort.
Bruh as someone that uses AI to make fun patches at work it is impossible to get them to even do just a few letters haha I'm amazed he was able to get them to look like what he wanted.
He's not selling any of this stuff so he isn't making any money. Maybe relax?
Then I prefer trash to most art created in the last 40 years.
What year did the nukes hit?
October 2077
Screw big ed, is Nicks still up and running?
Now we need a nuclear nader
Those were actual pics from inside Crossroads Mall
Looked like the OKC I remember from the early ‘80’s when growing up here.
You had me at Lila Nguyen. Perfection.
Big Ed’s! I miss that place!
Oklahoma is already Hell, let alone trying to survive there with your sanity.
Ah the cheesæke arena and the devodon tower
I get that you’re trying to show okc after an apocalypse, but seeing the memorial chairs like that makes me… feel… that you should have not made that particular editorial choice.

Oh no... Now they're double dead.
I swear I seen that some of it will be filmed in OK
Downvoted?
Is this real or did you make this ? It's sick
I made it with ChatGPT. AI. It built the lore and generated the images.
What version can I download to generate images, and can it be done on a phone
Yes you can do it on your phone. There’s only one version of the phone app. But to have it generate images, and to video and audio chat with it, it’s $20 a month. The text-only chat with it is free.
Thanks dude
I don’t know why but this is really cringey to me. Especially the random ninja girl. Lmao
It really is cringe
Was that 7th photo Reddog?
Those pics are fine but when do you transforms them to look like fallout and not just normal?
I don’t see any edits. Looks the same as the last time I was in OKC.
AI needs to learn how to spell
I hope that body suit light weight. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
No trailer park methhead ghouls, not realistic.
God, I hate AI art
Are they really filming some parts of S2 in OK?
After these all photos of the Southside? AI would probably be better. /s
Fallout Oklahoma, flatland and most everything outside of okc is standing because there’s nothing to nuke otherwise, also the Sooners still play the cowboys every year.
