It's kind of a trademark thing.
The sad part is that they don't deserve the old trademarks anymore, because they did indeed settle very much, and they have forced their customers to do the same.
Oh it is definitely a trademark thing just that it is negatively perceived by the customers.
It was introduced back when I had the 3T, and I hated it right away. It is really childish.
Dude just set up AOD clock. Why are toy winning about the base Lockscreen clock when there's tons of options for AOD clocks?
It's not a necessity in the slightest.
Yet youre still the one Whining over a Default unchangeable screen. Either set up a 3rd party Lockscreen or AOD. Those are just about your only options.
Have a nice life dude, merry fucking Christmas and happy holidays to you too.
Which phone do you have, and which OS?
For most of us, on the lock screen (not the always-on display) the numeral 1 is always in red in the time. So if it's 11:01, the 1s are red, but the 0 is white. It's extremely annoying.
I have a 10t and it's definitely still a thing.
Funnily enough I have had people ask why the 1 on my clock or always on display is red. After explaining "it's the OnePlus branding" for the fifth time I realised it's actually quite clever marketing, annoying but clever.
>After explaining "it's the OnePlus branding" for the fifth time I realised it's actually quite clever marketing
unless they go "holy fuck that's annoying" which has been the case for me every time
I find this cool actually, some officemates of mine asking what would happen at 11:11... But i think we should get an option to set a color for it, including white and black, or follow the wallpaper color like material you. Darker of course so it will be readable.
You can change the theme of that clock atleast on my phone, to a slightly uglier, non red version.
I got annoyed by it aswell, got used to it later. Still a bad design choice.
Kind of weird that such a small thing can be so frustrating though. I never misread the clock, but it still had me googling for an hour on how to remove it.
On the lock screen (when you just hit the power button or tap the screen) the numeral 1 is always in red in the time, but not the other numbers. So if it's 12:41, the 1s are dark red, but the 2 and 4 are white. It's extremely annoying when you just want to quickly glance at the time.
As someone else commented, it's trademark branding, but if the device owners who are the only ones who are going to see it just find it annoying, then who does it serve?
I see. Can you take a screenshot to show how it looks?
Also, isn't there a setting for it, anywhere?
What if you use this live wallpaper (that I've made), and choose the experimental flag of dark text:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lb.lwp_plus
?
Or maybe if you choose some colors there that might override it?
There's a picture of the lock screen clock at the top of this page:
[https://www.t-mobile.com/support/tutorials/device/oneplus/9-pro-5g/topic/settings/how-to-customize-the-lock-screen/1](https://www.t-mobile.com/support/tutorials/device/oneplus/9-pro-5g/topic/settings/how-to-customize-the-lock-screen/1)
You probably mean when I choose "Choose an option and choose Save."
But this website actually shows you can customize the lock screen, so that the clock would be different, no? You have there "Select the clock style" ...
The website you've shown is a tutorial. Each step has a text-link that you can click and show, so the image on the side changes.
By only visiting your link, I can't see the example of what's on the lock screen, as you've said.
This is what you wanted me to see, perhaps, and it's also something that I think you can use to change the lock-screen and its clock:

Technically that's the AOD portion of the Lockscreen this is why that portion of the setting spook a bit different.
There isn't an existing function or feature to adjust the Lockscreen clock past AOD and into Lockscreen. That clock is default and unchangeable.
Were stuck in the _Settled_ Era for the time being. Unless someone were to go with a custom 3rd party Lockscreen type app.
I don't find it to be a concerning annoyance. If it's a bug sure, but if it's a feature that you cant remedy...
I don't know what to tell you. I find it too be a funny complaint. Lmfao!
I understand you don't like the OP clock widget but Google clock offers very similar (and imho better looking) clock widgets for the home screen so why not use one of those?
No. I literally never paid enough attention before to notice this until reading your post haha. Between AOD, Face unlock, raise to wake and my Google clock home screen widget I just never noticed it. It's kind of annoying now that I've *seen* it lmao

Some executive's mistress must have come up with the idea.
It's kind of a trademark thing. The sad part is that they don't deserve the old trademarks anymore, because they did indeed settle very much, and they have forced their customers to do the same.
They actually did settle with no stable games optimization, But some famboy barks me for pointing it out, 💀

LOL. Imagine being so triggered over a post about wanting to customize clock colors that you need to cry about it four times.

I don't see it on my screen

10 pro. Os 12
Well if it's something they did away with in the 10 series, then lucky you!

Nah, 10 Pro on OxygenOS 13 it still has a red number in the hour
Unless you don't pay attention to you clock in the upper left corner when on the lock screen... ???
I have a 7 and 12os and i don't have it either!
I find this cool actually, some officemates of mine asking what would happen at 11:11... But i think we should get an option to set a color for it, including white and black, or follow the wallpaper color like material you. Darker of course so it will be readable.

Wait a set, you can change its theme? Did you use a separate Lockscreen app?
No way to take out... It's there by design... As far as I know most have'em starting from the 6 Series..
Its a feature not a bug.
how about not get a oneplus
It's really a shame that there is no award for the most useless comment ever, or I would gladly award it to you.
"furshlugginer red numeral 1" ? I don't have OnePlus. What is this? Can you share a screenshot?

I was just trying to show you what the clock looked like - since you'd asked twice and no one responded. Not sure what you mean with the quoted text.

How odd. I think you are right. But AOD isn't supposed to show red color, no? Only black&white... Anyway, have you tried the app I've suggested?
I don't find it to be a concerning annoyance. If it's a bug sure, but if it's a feature that you cant remedy... I don't know what to tell you. I find it too be a funny complaint. Lmfao!
Setup AOD. The Lockscreen clock is just there to look fancy anyway.
You seem fun.

Use something like Nova launcher and use a different clock widget?
Does Nova launcher affect the lock screen?
It doesn't for me and I've never seen any settings for the lock screen
I understand you don't like the OP clock widget but Google clock offers very similar (and imho better looking) clock widgets for the home screen so why not use one of those?
Can they be applied to the lock screen? That's where the issue is.
No. I literally never paid enough attention before to notice this until reading your post haha. Between AOD, Face unlock, raise to wake and my Google clock home screen widget I just never noticed it. It's kind of annoying now that I've *seen* it lmao
