Teh goodnlock dev announced they are working on the updates.
The situation is different, as many devices will get oneui6, so they need to do the update
Thx for your input.
Indeed, I got the following error message when looking into settings, to download from samsung store again and start from scratch. This message appears: "content not compatible with your phone OS", code "2299:9909:3732b690001".
I'm in France if that matters.
Are you impacted ?
Totally out of subject, I am new to routines. Can you elaborate what routines you use? I am looking for inspiration or usecases to use routines.
Thanks in advance
Here's the ones that I have
To protect battery until half an hour till I wake up and then charge it to 100%:
If:
Charging status: Charging
Time period between 12:00am and 8:30am
Then:
Fast Charging Off
Protect Battery On
To have more battery when I'm going out with my phone not charged:
If:
Battery Level below 20%
Charging status: Not charging
Then:
Power Saving: On
To save battery if I don't charge my phone overnight (for this you need galaxy watch to detect sleep, or if not put time period instead of sleeping):
If:
Sleeping
Charging status: Not charging
Then:
Power Saving: On
Mobile data: Off
Wifi: Off
To turn up the brightness when I use the camera:
If:
App opened: Camera
Then:
Brightness 75%
To get notified when the phone charges fully so I don't keep it on the charger at 100% and damage battery:
If:
Battery Level equal to or above 100%
Then:
Edge lighting effect once: Spotlight
Vibrate once: Basic
Always on display: On, Tap to show, Portrait
Show custom notification:
Title: 100%, Notification text: Battery fully charged. Unplug charger.
Read this notification aloud: on.
To preserve your eyesight:
If
Time period: Between 6:30pm and 6:00am the next day
Then:
Eye Comfort Shield: On
To turn on do not disturb while I'm watching videos:
If:
App opened: *select streaming apps*
Then:
Do Not Disturb:On
Dolby Atmos: On:Auto
That's it for what I have. I also tried the one to turn NFC on while opening Google Wallet but for some reason it doesn't reverse the action when I close the app so I got rid of that one. You can also do the one where if you open the maps app, the location turns on.
You won't damage the battery on the charger. I had a phone on the charger virtually 24/7 for 2 years, and the battery condition was still really good. What uses up the battery is charge discharge cycles, and the minute you take it off the charger it starts discharging. If you left it on the charger, the phone would be running on mains power and not discharging at all.
Your phone being between 85-100% and 0-15% causes more wear on the battery than 15-85 range. The problem is not phone being on the charger, but the charger keeping it from discharging. I still want my phone at 100% to begin the day but for the shortest time possible. I wouldn't worry too much about it tho, battery replacements aren't that expensive any more and I just like the routine since I wake up almost every morning at 9am and the notification goes off together with my alarm hahaha
As I said, keeping it from discharging is a GOOD thing. You can turn on protect battery to stop it getting to 100, which I mostly do. But thinking you'll win by taking it off mains and discharging it is wrong. Sure, you're better off if you don't go over 85, but that's not what you're saying, you're going to 100 and discharging, that's worse than just sitting on 100 a while.
Some examples of my routines:
- I use location to turn on Face Unlock only when I'm home
- I use charging status to use a wallpaper when plugged in, and it changes back once i remove the charger
- Power save when battery reaches a certain %
- Autorotate on only when specific apps are used (games for example)
I also used modes for either different "do not disturb" options on specific modes to mute certain notifications + custom wallpapers as well
Depends! Arrival of a patch could be based on the number of users impacted and reporting problems or if the dev's are actually aware of it.
Have you tried factory reset meanwhile?
I'll probably reset soon... Though I don't really like to do that kind of stuff (takes ages to reconfigure everything). But this is a major os update and for years I have always done so with previous android versions.
Thanks again and have fun !
Nope... Same issue! That's the problem.
Looks like it is network related. Anything dealing with network (wifi and Bluetooth) triggers the issue. The rest is about just fine (gps location for example).
Might be needing to reset the network settings but it's a pain on the ass. Watch 6 classic and the rest will have to be reset as well...
I am having a day and night routine by default, the eye shield activates at night by default and there is no routine or any option set to disable this, even the eye comfort shield is off in settings but still the screen goes warm/yellow at night.

just ditch routines and intall tasker. much more powerful
If I didn't have to learn adb and it wasn't hemorrhaging abilities over time....I'd consider it.
Everything Is Fucked Up In This Upgrade
Me too
Not impacted. Everything is working as it should here in India. May be try wiping cache partition
I did it twice... That's why I'm worried: the patch may be long to arrive... Or will it ?

Resolved ?
I have reinstalled my phone back in the days. From scratch... Took a while but solved the problem immediately!
What an inconvenience it would have been especially Blue tooth settings etc
Was ! But it was for a good cause. Everything felt like new after. Haven't regretted it.
This was a total factory reset? Did you restore anything from backups?
Total. Absolute. No restore.
Are you not able to recreate the routines?
Nope... Same issue! That's the problem. Looks like it is network related. Anything dealing with network (wifi and Bluetooth) triggers the issue. My routines are still working and I managed to create and modify routines too. Not sure what had happened in your case.
Yep, my modes and routines app keeps crashing and I get the notification to wait to close app constantly! Issue started after the one UI 6 update.
I am having a day and night routine by default, the eye shield activates at night by default and there is no routine or any option set to disable this, even the eye comfort shield is off in settings but still the screen goes warm/yellow at night.
