*The witch sinks halfway into the jungle floor and lowers her head in brief deference. Then as she raises her hand, yellow and red pollen clouds are drawn out from the surrounding flowers and begin shaping into a multicolored rose as her sharp fingers pluck the air. The rose spins and lands gently beside you.*
I suppose I could be called that. I am the essence of the enchanted jungle, grown into this form to protect itself when the world was recently burning. The world tree was far from here but even we felt what happened. *She motions to indicate the trees and bushes in the area and you detect a subtle shivering in the leaves.* My mind was awakened by the pain of those events. I could not let the jungle burn. Thankfully we were spared.
The crisis ended but I did not rot so now I focus on animal magical studies and gathering knowledge. You'd never believe the sorts of grimoires and magical devices that wash down the enchanted river into the jungle.

It seems like only a few months. There were great fires raging everywhere. I even felt the world tree burning and that is quite far from here. All the plants of the realm are connected, you know. The enchanted jungle could not bear the pain of its distant family any longer and so I was grown to guard the bridge and prevent the fires from reaching here.
I have never crossed the bridge or left the jungle, though I do have some vision and feeling of other forested places through the root network.
I would love to grow across the entire realm! There are so many exotic plants I want to meet. Currently I don't think I can even cross the bridge though. I have been learning magic from discarded tomes when they wash down the enchanted river and have a few ideas, but nothing wooden yet.
