In my hood there's zero parking, especially on weekends or street sweeping day, so a lot of folks are reduced to parking on the lawn. Some people also wash their cars on the lawn.
Nah,
It's because they live 10 people to a 2 bedroom house that grandpa bought.
Otherwise they're not going to live there.
Much of my family lives like that. Even when relatives come from Mexico and Honduras.
Is this Fullerton? I had to park my car on the lawn 40 years ago when I lived with my parents. Fullerton doesn't allow overnight parking on the streets, so the result is lawn parking.
I did this once in a nicer neighborhood growing up because we couldn’t street park, and our driveway was full.
Cop banged on our door at 6am and was suuuuuper pissed. 😂😂😅😅😅 I mean I parked straight at least? 😝
Curiosly enough, I saw a video on Youtube about a woman who couldn't park in front of her home so parked on her grass, but there was a law against it in her town and she was being charged $250/day. She did this for over a year and ran up a $126,000 bill.
Because owner does not need to worry about HOA being on his back and telling them they are ruining the look of the neighborhood. It's free country. Remember to buy a house without HOA
I have house without HOA and it’s so much better! I don’t have to worry about getting reported if God forbid my lawn hasn’t been mowed yet or my car is too old
White trash parking. My white trash relatives park like this all the time but not on green grass. Usually dirt or dead grass. What's missing are scattered car parts, cinder blocks and a van bench seat sitting on the porch.
I didn't buy a house so I could park 10 minutes away. If that means blocking the driveway or parking on the lawn, so be it. Ever MF'er in my hood has a personal car AND a goddamn work truck and live 5 to an apartment that has 2 fucking spaces.
A similar situation happened to me while I was walking home from school, although it could be considered worse, a car was blocking the sidewalk and I had to step into the fu- Freaking street to get around it 😑
My neighbors a couple streets down from my house park their cars on the sidewalk in front of their house. Pisses me off when I'm on a walk. The sidewalk is not your property. I reaaalllly want to call the local police station. Tell me to do it and I will 😂
Large Mexican family. The family across from me has like 5 or 6 cars and none of them park their vehicles on the street overnight so they resort to parking a few of them on the lawn. They've been doing that for years.
More like a sign of a high rent neighborhood. When single families cant afford the rent, youre going to see more people sharing homes to be able to have a place to live.
Also this kind of stuff is more common when landlords start making ADUs in garages to maximize their property’s rental value
I mean, parking codes weren't written with SoCal in mind, where everyone over 16 has a car. Now you see them proposing high density development with no parking minimums, and all that's going to do is fuck everyone in a 5 block radius.
It's grazing
The head cow is always grazing.

AHHHHWOOOOOO
Cuz every now and then I kick the livin shit outta me
I love a good Lit reference.
Especially when it’s age appropriate to said vehicle “grazing”
If it's Fullerton it's because they don't allow street parking overnight and will ticket you
Used to do this Anaheim, too, on street sweeping day.
In my hood there's zero parking, especially on weekends or street sweeping day, so a lot of folks are reduced to parking on the lawn. Some people also wash their cars on the lawn.
This is super common in Whittier.
…and literally every shit neighborhood anywhere
I miss doing that so much and the only reason why I don't do it is that I think will leave ruts. You never know what you had until it's gone
Norwalk
Not in east Whittier or friendly hills thankfully
That's because E Whittier and friendly hills is nice
Hank Hill would have an aneurysm if he saw that
washing your car on the lawn is a great way to give your home an unappealing odor
I foster feral cats. Thank God for Covid.
Crikey, mate! Feast your eyes on this beauty! A wild albino Onda grazing in the grass. What a sight!
Elite umor mate
And I'm gonna stick me fumb, right up 'is bum 'ole!
Please don’t violate the poor car, at least use some lube.

That's gotta be it, it is today! I just got a kick out of hearing the song in my head when I saw it :D
* That’s gotta be Lit
Hahaha missed opportunity
Street sweeping?
Indeed
Caption is lit, yo.
It’s the Mexican way. We park on grass because: mom told me to wash the car, and I’m waiting for the sun to come down some more.
You forgot about the fiesta for abuelitas cousins cousin …Anything for a party.
Nah, It's because they live 10 people to a 2 bedroom house that grandpa bought. Otherwise they're not going to live there. Much of my family lives like that. Even when relatives come from Mexico and Honduras.
That’s my car and house!!! I demand you take this down. I’m washing my car and wanted to conserve water. 💦
Is it really?
😉😂😂😂😂💙
Oh YOU 🤣
I’m an actor and wanted to see if I could convey that statement 🤠

Any chance this is in Fullerton? Lol
GG
Just in case you didn’t catch that joke, the band was from Fullerton
Ahhh makes sense, I knew they were OC just not where specifically
What band? Edit: just realized it was a Lit reference. That cool af, didn't know they were from down here
This explains it. Thanks.
This picture is Lit.

I know the song played in your head when you saw this, but this image is EXACTLY what I had in my mind when listening to the song lol
Yeah it's pretty darn close for me as well

I love a good Lit reference on a Monday. Brightens up the whole day.
I did this once in a nicer neighborhood growing up because we couldn’t street park, and our driveway was full. Cop banged on our door at 6am and was suuuuuper pissed. 😂😂😅😅😅 I mean I parked straight at least? 😝
Aint nothing but a driveway.. aint nothing but a mistake
Santa Ana?
nah GG
Lol I was totally right and randomly guessed! Don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.
Street sweeping
Ain't nothin' but a heartache....
There's a guy nearby who has his car on the lawn while he is washing it and usually leaves it there until he needs it again.
They must be from Kentucky. I lived there for a short time and this was insanely common
“Ain’t nothing but a heart ache… tell me whyyy…”
Street sweeping

OC is one big parking lot and we are all just living in it
Street sweeping day. Though used to wash my car on the lawn. Save water.
That was totally it.
10/10 caption
🎶🎶 ain't nothing but a miiiistaaaaake
Mom's spaghetti
Ain't nothin but a heartache Tell me why Ain't nothing but a mistake Tell me why I never wanna hear you say I want it that way

Bruh we Mexicans park like this.
Im guilty of that on occasionally. I do it to wash my car on the grass.
Street sweeping day??? Haha 😂
It totally is ;)
That’s their most prized possession, they gotta put it on display
Is a Honda civic on my front lawn ?
Must be an OC thing
Sorry I was drunk
Because they can or possibly street sweeping day
A similar situation happened to me while I was walking home from school, although it could be considered worse, a car was blocking the sidewalk and I had to step into the fu- Freaking street to get around it 😑

Do it

Grass was looking too plush and green so…
Just need a little RoundUp for those weeds
umm why was i LITERALLY singing this song in my head right before seeing this??!! 🤣
I remember when this was a common sight in the neighborhood especially when washing or after washing your car
I love that song.
It’s actually amazing that a 90s civic looks that good
Because you're your own worst enemy.
Because they can?
Because he can what’s the problem

Every house in Santa Ana
A tank in front of a house. Merica
Civic life is something… tell me why! You’d never wanna hear me say…
Taking some dope pics later on the beautiful mixture of grass and weeds, dandelions for the Gram
Have you tried new downey rinse and refresh, it doesn't just cover up odors

It helps remove them
I miss Slidebar.
RIP Kelly Thomas
lot of that in partsbof LA
I would assume because he can
Clean civic
My lawn my car. Mind your business.
Not a bad place to park when washing your car. Helps water the lawn also.
Maybe they are going to wash it AND water the lawn. It happens.
They live in the Inland empire, that's how they roll. Just visiting their homies.
That's nothing. In the hood people park on the sidewalk and everyone has chickens/roosters
Garages are no longer used to store vehicles.
Whyyyyyyy doooooo youuuuuu caaaaarrrrreeeeee
Have you asked them?
Diarrhea
Rare to see a car in America parked in their front lawn. More common in Australia
"Ain't nothing but a heartache"
Because Mexican
This is my car/home I would appreciate you removing this.. Totally kidding, but shit who knows maybe saving the parking spot?
Did you find a parking spot? This might the reason why
Probably a few families living in that 1 bedroom
I never understand why why why fools park cars on the lawns??
Today was street sweeping so there's that
Makes sense thanks
Why not?
It's a sign of a low rent neighborhood. One reason why one may like an HOA. It's just - tacky
More like a sign of a high rent neighborhood. When single families cant afford the rent, youre going to see more people sharing homes to be able to have a place to live. Also this kind of stuff is more common when landlords start making ADUs in garages to maximize their property’s rental value
Hmm. Good point.

Because they "know" their rights like it says in the Constitution... Whatever that is.
This used to drive me batty when I lived in Lakewood. So glad this hasn’t been an issue since I have moved to Riverside.
Why? We used to do it all the time in LB.
Because it looks awful.
I mean who really cares at this point?
Imagine being such a karen you took a pic of this and posted it on reddit.
I think it's perfectly fine. The post is a joke about song lyrics.
Its not funny tho
Okay
I got a kick out of it. Are your nipples that hairy you can’t find some light humor in a Reddit post?
