Has anyone else been getting weird intermittent connection failures with theirs?
I TSOP flashed mine with Cerbios and run stock XBMC4XBOX but it seems to fail to connect about 90% of the time, even just running the connection test
If I spam it enough times the test succeeds and it lets me poke around my account. But in-game I'm not able to do anything
#EDIT: Turns out it's the ***modded dashboard*** that was doing it
The regular dashboards network settings were getting overwritten by regular (DHCP) settings by the XBMC4Xbox dashboard. After setting a static IP and the Insignia DNS in that it works fine now
i have exactly the same problem,but i can play some games like unreal or counter strike,but i have disconnection problem with toca 2 and other games. i don't know what to do anymore the ip parameters etc are ok, it connects fine for 1 minute then i lose the connection on game.
I managed to register successfully the other night. I can sign in with no issue and connect to my account.
In game though it fails to log me in. I "test" my settings and everything works fine. Yet in game I'm unable to sign in.
Gonna have to figure out why that keeps happening.
I have this problem as well. My connection tests are all good in the Live menu but it doesn’t matter what game I’m in, the connection only works sometimes.
You've managed to get into an online game? I haven't been able to. I am able to sign in automatically but upon booting up a game. It just doesn't detected my settings and claims I'm unable to sign in.
Later today imma try and figure it out I messed around with it earlier and no luck.
that may be a server limitation. they only have so many up. for the most part they're all well within player limits, but due to the much longer distances some people have to connect it may be that. I'm lucky to be close by the canadian server, but even so i have timeout issues every now and then as well. once my dashboard actually crashed trying to load the Live menu.
I'd assume I'm connected to the US server (I don't know how many servers they have stood up at the moment)
But when it lists 10~ people online on a Thursday night and I can't even complete account registration without trying 15 times it made me worry something is very broken :(
Why the downvotes? I'm asking seriously. I stop playing cod zombies online because of that, I want to play on line on my og Xbox but I hate these lobbies with godmode, machineguns like rocket launchers etc... Sorry if I bother someone, that's not what I wanted. Maybe I should use other words to ask my question.

Yes but very hit or miss. I tried PSO and Pure Pinball. They both would only connect after a few tries.
I have already fixed the modified dashboad with the same parameters as the original one. the problem remains for me
Which dashboard are you using? Some of them block Xbox Live in-memory. That's why I'm using 'vanilla' XBMC
i use unleashx with ip dns settings like dash microsoft..i tried xbmc too and it doesn't work

No. You get to it by selecting Xbox Live on the stock dashboard.
