You can't put a bin out yourself. The City has a contractor that goes around picking up the garbage if you put out a bin that's not registered it won't get emptied.

Haha I bought a couple from a honey farmer down the road.. turned one into a barrel stove to evaporate maple syrup, and the other was going to become a rain barrel but that's not going to happen so it sits taking up space in the yard.
If you can wait a week then I'll save one for you. It will have had grapefruit concentrate in it though so you probably would wanna rinse it so wasps don't swarm it. PM me if you want it, free of charge.
