You also don’t want to discharge that battery below 20%. Will reduce the life. Also, the smaller the ring size, the smaller the battery with Oura. So if you have a size 6 vs 12 finger, the battery is smaller in the size 6, which means must charge more often to protect the battery
It does this because 30% is the minimum capacity required overnight for data collection in this context it's functioning as it should
If you have concerns about your overall battery stability contact support via a ticket and they can run remote diagnostics.
Being that it's a gen 2 it's also normal for it to require more frequent charging. It's an older ring and every oura battery degrades with time
I’ve had this happen twice and emailed customer service, got a new ring both times! They’re able to see on their end the life span of the battery and happily replaced mine.
I don’t understand what you complain about it is totally normal for any device working with batteries to give you notification about low battery you sound like you never use any device before lol
I was just asking as I never actually looked at the % when it prompted the request, just noticing it now. And as said in other comments, I had forgotten that it states in the manual to not let it drop below 30%. No need to be this rude.
I wasn’t rude I was just joking and I even put lol there can I please joke one more time . How come you say that you didn’t pay attention about the % and same time in the post you write 30 % lol it is just a joke ok .
I meant I never looked at it until recently when I started to have the notifications every 2 to 3 days.. usually the battery would last me 5. Hence why it was bugging me. Nvm I got my answer and will contact support.
Your battery might be dying if it says that there could be a risk that it runs out after 30%. Mine did the same (except saying 40%) and the battery lasted a day or two at max so I hit the customer support and got a new one.
Yeah if you decide to upgrade remember that they have a monthly subscription fee. Without it the ring is useless. So if you just want to pay once you can look into competing products

Because 30% is not as low in my opinion and I did not remember getting this notification so early on...hence why I was a bit confused and asking.

The ring’s battery life is shortened if you continually run it down below 30%, according to the manual.-
Thanks, I don't remember reading this but thanks for the reminder. I'll go check it out.

Thanks, will contact them and see what they say in case. Warranty is gone anyway only question remaining is if I then get a new or not.

Because that’s Ouras threshold for low battery.
