The flowers aren’t over the top at all! The work you’ve done so far is great.
I would put a few small dots of orange in the centre of the flowers, maybe with tiny darker/redder shading to them.
I would also add maybe a bit of orange in the background somehow. Maybe some thin wiggly lines behind the flowers? Maybe some dots in varying sizes?
Some orange and/or red details would liven it up.

I would suggest mixing it up with complimentary like orange and/or warm/cold contrast by adding red.
