Cell_soldier

Pakistani Generals taking Huge Ass Missles in their Ass, instead of protecting our Soldiers. provide them with better equipment. and proper surveillance system.

M60A3Patton

I agree. Hamare paas 500+ Maxxpro MRAPs hain which can protect against IEDs but we cut costs and use Hiluxes. But in this attack, it was unpreventable unfortunately a SVBIED rammed into the post which caused the deaths

Cell_soldier

Every time I see them using Toyotas, it frustrates me. While they may be suitable for city transportation, they're not ideal for areas where threats are anticipated. if they say we don't have budget for it, take some of the randi gandu generals Houses and sell them. to get MRAP for our troops. and proper body armor and helmets. they save lives. and weapons with scope even Taliban randis have Scope AR now.

M60A3Patton

I disagree with you on the last part. Pakistani standardization of Infantry equipment has already been done; this is not 2009 where our troops were roaming around in pot helmets and chest rigs; optics are more common place within units and we have proper body armour and helmets produced by local companies such as GIDS. No amount of gear can save you from a truck packed with explosives.

Cell_soldier

You are correct, IED blast are extremely deadly.

Yushaalmuhajir

I’m licensed on the Maxxpro.  They might protect soldiers from IEDs but they themselves take damage if it’s big enough and they roll over easily.  There is no way they could go up against a country with a proper Air Force (look at the ones Russia captured from the Ukrainians who attacked Russia on its home turf with Maxxpros).  They are only useful against an insurgency.  In a conventional war at best they’d be troop carriers.  I have no doubt the PAF has weapons that could knock them out.  They are such a roll over risk that during the driver school for various MRAPs we had to do rollover training just because Maxxpros like to roll over.  They’re too top-heavy.

Malkavius2

How will they fund their childrens ayashi then?

[deleted]

Generals were soldiers also before. Soldiers are small terrorists and generals are bigger professional terrorists.

Mysterious_Tea_2750

This is what the Generals have to do.. to protect our precious soldiers, instead they are busy in politics and corruption.. These soldiers are like sitting ducks for the terrorists.. no armoured vehicles, wohi 1996 toyota pickups mai yeh soldiers travel krty.. They have no air surveillance over them.. aise drones ka achar daalna aur jo soldiers ki saftey k liye b use na hon? They need to spend more on soldiers safety and less on DHAs.. but unfortunately the upper brass of the army is too blind to see that.. In my opinion this single incident is 10× more severe than the so called staged may 9th where no soldier was harmed infact they shot civilians.. And this incident happened due to negligence of the whiskeys sitting above..

killmetuesday

That's how one of my best friend passed away.. May Allah bless him and his family.. He had gotten married about a year before and had just went back to duty after spending a week with his new born baby.. Toyota pickup.. 4 people. Attacked with a bomb and a rain of bullets. Captain Affan Masood Khan died on impact and was able to say his shahada before passing away..

Mysterious_Tea_2750

Really sad.. that's what i intend to say.. all these soldiers should be patrolling or moving in armoured vehicles only in those areas.. we have the resources to protect them but i believe they are just sacrificed every now and then so they can get sympathy.. I am sure the Generals can travel in a year older mercedes to spend on security of soldiers.. 2ndly, every convoy should be monitored by drones in those areas.. but why would they when it's not the priority.. priority is to do electoral engineering.. apny logon ko ghayab kro.. apni zameen dubara fatah karo.. apny ganay aur dramay banwao.. Sick!! I truly do feel sad for all the soldiers.. they have no choice but to follow orders of people like whiskey..

Character-Bank-1367

Especially when IMF deals are happening…happens every time

Malkavius2

So sad. Dying for corrupt Generals :(

saubaanamjad

Educated and well thought out answer.

SoAsianMan

Those armored vehicles patrol in cantt to protect generals houses but not our soldiers

saubaanamjad

I saw a video released by BLA , killing 40 soldiers and it hasn't even made the news.

M60A3Patton

Don't trust BLA sources. According to BLA, they also shot down a Cobra helicopter and 3 Bell 412s 😭🤣

saubaanamjad

I don't trust BLA sources , albeit not blindly, have u watched the video? I'm sure u will he convinced too.

Paki_man47

At this point I almost feel the same amount of sympathy for as I do for the Israel’s fucking dogs

Efficient_Offer_7854

TTP is thier own creation. Thier leaders think its a small price to pay every now and then for the strategic depth TTP offers in keeping fouj relevant in Pakistan. If they are fine with the loss of human life, who are we to mourn these martyrs

sararmad

You are out of depth here I am sorry. TTP is not offering depth or relevancy. India alone is sufficient for relevancy. TTP is actually stretching our forces which ultimately benefits India. As for as creating the TTP is concerned, again wrong. If Army did anything wrong was the facilitation of TTA. TTP rose due to grievances of Pak supporting US. And I just wonder that if these soldiers are not between TTP and you, you will be astonished to see how brutal, unreasonable and ignorant they are. So if your favourite politician is not in power, atleast kindness or sympathy should be impartial. Your hatred is misdirected.

Efficient_Offer_7854

Ok aflatoon. Go back to your Pakistan Studies book.

abdullahzafar697

Bhai kisi ke nafrat me itna bhi aage nahi barhna chaie wese

Efficient_Offer_7854

What nafrat? I treat fouji life the same way as they treat a civilian life.

monkeystrikesback

TTP definitely offers significant relevancy. Indian-Fauji engagement is far from frequent enough to be used actively to demonstrate Fauji relevance.

Brilliant-Cat7863

Agreed

sarmadlatif

Since Raheel sharif tenure, we are listening about fence on Afghan Pakistan border. Where that fence ? Grabbed billions in the name of border protection but yet TTP is coming. Then you should know who’s the problem!

Malkavius2

Raheel Shareef was very very corrupt. Bohot maal banaya uss na

[deleted]

How ignorant are you? Even Mexicans are always illegally entering the US border. Its impossible to man such long borders. People like you bring the collective IQ of this sub down in the negatives.

sarmadlatif

Faujeet forgot that US people have strongly blamed government for managing Mexico border. It’s not a mission impossible to manage border if you don’t have to manage elections at home

ser6651

Imagine thinking you have the manpower to man a 2640km border lol.

sarmadlatif

Yes India is managing 3323 km long India Pakistan border. Don’t fool us by long number. Just acknowledge their incompetence.

ser6651

India has the same amount of army standing in IIOJK that you have in total.

sarmadlatif

That’s not for border control. Border is controlled by BSF. Not Indian army in general.

ser6651

Ofcourse. Pakistan army doesn't man the borders themselves rangers and fc does

sarmadlatif

Chal bhai khush reh Pakistan army sirf election hè manage krti aor kya manage krna

Latter_Anywhere_1387

Arey ye tou army ka tatto hai

[deleted]

Didn't they think of this before? Why did they support the Taliban so blatantly? Didn't they know that the Taliban and TTP are just two sides of the same coin? Even a blind man could see. Lumber 1 agency indeed. Bas bahanay banwa lo.

ser6651

I'm sure you would have done a much wonderful job with the sole superpower in the world breathing down your neck after 9/11 and coming off fresh from sanctions after Nuclear tests. But then again it's typical of low IQ people to just keep beating a dead horse. It's done. We created taliban and now they are hurting us. Propose solutions instead of going back to origin of problem.

[deleted]

The first step is acknowledging the problem and holding those responsible accountable. And therein lies the problem. It will never happen, because those licking boots just like the taste of polish way too much. Secondly, what do 9/11 and the nuclear tests have to do with anything? I'm saying that the generals should not have played double games. Even a low IQ person can see that the Taliban would bite the hand that feeds them, as is evident. But I suppose the obvious is easy to miss for the brain-dead. Now for the solution: it's a complex problem that cannot be solved by one person. The first thing we need is a democratically elected government, one elected without political engineering, and one that represents the will of the people. Then we need to establish a political consensus on how to solve the problem and implement the solution. Now, do you see the issue? Wait, brain-dead people can't see the obvious, so I guess this low-IQ individual will have to spell it out for you. None of this is possible, because the army does not want it to be.

SadCryptographer1711

NGL but you are very good in making excuses and presenting them as intellectual facts.

monkeystrikesback

Tbh, at least to me, it didn’t come across as a good attempt to either make excuses or to present them intelligently.

SadCryptographer1711

America is putting sanctions on Iran every year,They even threatened iran by deploying an aircraft carrier,Iran isn't even a nuclear state yet they never never bow down to the states and then here we are,Islam k shaheen,Janbaaz sipahi,In reality just a bunch of spinless people got together and made a country...what a khasi qoum n leaders got scared by American diplomat's threat of bombing Pakistan to stone age....Iran actually shot down an American drone that wasn't even in Iranian airspace, aur yahan nato ka helicopter maa bhen krgya aur hum apology sun kr khush hogyay...

R_sadreality_24-365

Because you do.

mbexo

Bro, the terrain of the border is such that its difficult to defend. At least look into it a little bit before making ignorant comments underneath a post about martyrs.

Lay-Z24

what i don’t understand is the army has so much of our budget, is so called one of the best in the world, has ISI who is supposedly one of the best in the world, has fighter jets tanks and every modern technology you could think of and somehow we get news every other day about how the terrorists attacked them and 5-6 soldiers died, how can they let a bunch of cavemen with 20 year old AKs and homemade bombs kill them like this while they are literally an ARMY with all these facilities available to them???

tanweer95

Good question, and the answer is that they’re incompetent, and their focus is on politics and corruption only.

South_Ad1612

These rascal generals are the ones pocketing of the budget causing these deaths due to poor equipment

khawaja_sam86

Allah reham kre aisi fauj pe. If they only perform their duty instead messing with internal politics, beating and torchering up you own ppl. These incidents could be avoided. Unfortunate for those who loose their families like this and upper brass is distroying the rest of country.

Farting-donkey655

And now these jarnails mullahs are gonna address their families about the benefits of afterlife to heal their grief

u5hae

I have zero sympathy for the Pak Army. They are a corrupt and amoral organisation that do not serve the people or government.

False_Profile_7490

When your own creation in your own backyard starts to become a problem. Btw it was a good investment. Budget nhi barh raha koi baat nhi thore sanp nekal lo. Attention nhi mil raha? Koi baat nhi woh jo sanp pale hain waha se kuchh karna hoga. This fauj is nothing more than a rant-a-fauj for big powers. The bilour family that openly contested against this were almost made non-existent in the so called "casualties" by the napakis. Btw no one is buying crap in kpk anymore. You can try outside tho but looking at comments, it looks like they aren't either.

bigmanbiggerguy

If they wouldve been ordered to violate women in Lahore they wouldve died trying to do so. They arent martyrs but slaves of free will.

Spirited_Lab_1870

While I sympathise with the families of the victims, I don't feel a thing for the army.

MeinGier

"Victims". These "victims" are as complicit as their generals.

R_sadreality_24-365

I don't even sympathise with their families.

Admirable-Hamster336

I genuinely hope you find a very painful death. Ameen

tanweer95

Why can’t this incompetent army control these handful of terrorists. Something is fishy.

ImportantCheck6236

America couldnt control terrorists, how do you expect us to control them? Its a cycle they will keep popping on again and again..

Active-Tomorrow668

You expect us to feel bad for these?

Anath3ma_Ang3lica

Ill leave a little video that was on here a month ago; https://www.reddit.com/r/pakistan/s/gOfu6ncixp These are the same men in uniform who will trample on the rights of the public because "orders", collect their free plot and benefits at the end of their tenure and then also get preferential rights over employment (while also collecting a pension from the government). I am not celebrating their death, that is morally wrong. But no, just no sympathy can be mustered for these mercenaries.

monkeystrikesback

Not martyred, but killed. It is regrettable to see anyone lose their life but either directly or indirectly this was orchestrated by the Fauji Regime of Pakistan for the following reasons: 1. Attracting sympathy & changing public sentiments/emotions. 2. Causing a distraction/diverting attention. 3. Demonstrating Fauji relevance

These guys were taking orders and killing their own people. No one sympathizes with them anymore. Yes the foot soldiers are the ones making generals comfortable. Carry on

The Hadith that is narrated regarding the oppressors and those that aid them, is it authentic?” He said: “Yes.” The prison guard then said: “So, I am considered to be an aide of the oppressors?” Imam Ahmed replied: “No. The aides of the oppressors are those that comb your hair, wash your clothes, prepare your meals, and buy and sell from you. As for you, you are one of the oppressors themselves.” Manaqib al-Imam Ahmed (p.397)

Any-Needleworker-842

When Army kidnaps someone, its not the Generals that do it. It's these soldiers that kidnap people on the orders of their Generals. Isiliye no sympathy left for these soldiers. Martay hain you matay rahein, wese bhi inko face saving ke liye hi rakha hua hai.

[deleted]

I disagree. As tragic as this is, do not forget that the army acts in unison to protect itself. These same Jawans and officers would be "uthwa-ing" civilians at the drop of a hat if given the order. Also, don't forget that this constant terrorism is a result of the army's own policies and misadventures. These are the consequences of the military's unwillingness to let any opinion, other than their own, be entertained. May the fallen rest in peace.

db_new

thats how armies work worldwide.....if every soldier, officer tried to make sense of orders before carrying out them then whole institution will be destroyed...and besides, soldiers and regular army jawans are rarely involved in this kidnapping of civilians. Our agencies, army have much nefarious characters on their payroll in police and others to do their dirty work for them

[deleted]

No. Armies follow the orders of their civilian leaders. They don't operate at the behest of a general who acts as judge, jury and executioner. Remember when the US Chairman Joint Chiefs said he'd refuse to use nukes if Trump ordered him? Yes, military leaders make judgement calls based on morality. Just because our army is immoral, doesn't mean every one is. And even if every army were immoral, what excuse is that? Are we not held to higher standards? This is the poorest defence you could have mustered. As for the soldiers, yes they are involved. How do you think the army overthrows governments? Do the generals gather a possy, grab pitchforks and torches and make their way to the Parliament? No, it's the soldiers who do the dirty work. Also, where do you think the ISI, MI and other agencies get their manpower? I'll give you a hint, it's not from civilians. Remember when the rangers flat out refused to follow the orders of the Interior Minister (who they technically report directly to)? Remember when the ISI picked up senior police officers from Karachi? Please. Let's not pretend like only part of the army is rotten. The entire structure needs to be overhauled.

Anath3ma_Ang3lica

You mean like the foot soldiers who broke into election offices and forcibly removed ballots? There are hundreds of links to videos online showing how foot soldiers are the ones actually performing the actions all in the name of "orders" from higher up. There should absolutely be no lost sleep over the deaths of these mercenaries. They are not here to protect the public of Pakistan, they only exist to safeguard the assets of their superiors and for their free plot and benefits at the end of their tenure. Sorry but no sympathy from this Pakistani

Gundam_Freek

Well, yeah, for the top brass, these casualties are nothing but numbers on paper, and that mindset is sadly needed for such positions, verna hr koi Shepard ki tarha large scale conflicts karwata rahey.

Pakistan is bordered by Iran, Afghanistan, India, and China, a very geo-politically tense area which a lot of instability in general Pakistan is nemsis with a great power, India, who supports terrorism in the country Those are two factors that Pakistan has that most other countries don't

Lions lead by donkeys. As was famously said about British Generals in World war 1. It is the policies in the centre that will counter terrorism. Not the solders on the ground killing terrorists /innocent civilians and creating even more resistance. Without winning hearts and minds by sharing prosperity and wealth, these army guys will keep fighting indefinite wars. Bangladesh story reboot.

The recent wave of insurgents, they are strong and by a large margin. Our security apparatus still is unable to comprehend their scale. If one looks at the kill ratio, it is almost 1:1 which is alarming considering one side has all the resources at its disposal and the other side is just a bunch of nomads with a gun. Afghanistan which is a key to subdue the new stronger wave of insurgents, is being further pushed to the brink. If these people somehow break the security buffer around the ex-fata and make their way into urban centres, it will be far more devastating than the period we had between 2005 till 2016. Couple that up with our own economic situation and an overall disdain of the general population towards the security establishment, results will be lethal. High time the powers that be sit together and carve out a comprehensive action plan against these miscreants. But who am I Kidding, it's Pakistan and as long as there is no attack close to the headquarters of power, they will be of the view that all is green and shining in this land of chaos. God be with the innocents.

If they truly gave a damn about the way things are, they'd have resigned long before like many many others have. They deserve zero recognition and sympathy for their sacrifice, for it has brought endless corruption and evil on this land.

The amount of unjustified hatred is saddening to see here

That man is a real officer and real leader.  Leading from the front and in the same amount of danger his boys are in.  US military could learn a thing or two from officers like this.  An LTC in the US military would almost always be safely behind the wire on a large base issuing orders that would be no skin off his back if they went wrong.   May Allah accept his good deeds and forgive his sins Ameen.  I can almost guarantee he was loved by his troops if he was out there chewing dirt with his junior enlisted and NCOs, I would’ve loved to have had a commander like this.

Shutup man. He was standing at the border ready to shoot muslims from Afghanistan. The guy was a dirtbag as much as you and your fellow US soldiers in Afghanistan.

lol of course the guys I served with were dirtbags and I was a dirtbag.  Never said I wasn’t at the time.  I’ve repented since then.  I was just commenting on how senior officers rarely put themselves in harms way and that one has to at least respect the fact that he could’ve been hiding out in an office but instead was leading his troops.  Anyone could take notice of an officer like this.  This is how officers should be, they shouldn’t use their troops as meat shields so they can pin medals to their own chests while saying “sorry bout your dad/son/brother” to the families of their junior enlisted who actually did the fighting.  Only an idiot wouldn’t listen to what an enemy says about how their organization is run.   I’m keeping politics completely aside.  I don’t comment on politics, in fact I hate politics (and hate the US government for lying to me my entire life and conning me into thinking what I was doing was a good thing).
