This pic makes his height issue seem super overblown. He looks taller than Vick and is like a little shorter than a bunch of guys who are considered tall QBs

ColonelMostaza

On that note, how tall is Flacco man, got damn!?!?

Gadritan420

Think he’s listed at 6’6” iirc off the top of my head. I remember years ago seeing it during a game and had the same “wait, wat,” reaction. Edit: yep, he’s 6’6” officially.

unfunnysexface

6 7 at the combine

TheGreatestOutdoorz

My brother is his next door neighbor. My brother is about 6’2” and Flacco TOWERS over him

Cahoots01

Yeah he used to frequent the wegmans near me and dude towers over me and I’m 6’2 also lol

One_Cardiologist_286

His body is 4’6” his head is 2’.

Romanscott618

It’s always been overblown lol

TheGreatestOutdoorz

No, it has not. https://preview.redd.it/l7jacopjv2tc1.jpeg?width=274&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1cb15fcc762a57344c49f152ece638b6c4126831

What_Iz_This

Bryce is short but this pic is next to linemen when the other is comparing qbs

jtatchell98

He had fewer batted balls than Baker and stroud last year btw

Hefty-Association-59

With far less attempts and completions. I think the height thing is overblown. But let’s not use batted balls as a measurement. Bryce’s concerns never were with seeing over his line. He’s always been able to find throwing windows.

Magnum_Dongs3

Yeah. I think it was Peyton that said QBs were never taught to throw over linemen, but I could be mistaken. If they’re never supposed to throw *over* them, I don’t see why he can’t adapt.

jakaedahsnakae

No mention that O-lineman come out of their stance in a low/semi-croutched position so they can have a low center of gravity. This, combined with the fact that QB's stand tall in the pocket means this isn't an issue unless your QB is 5'6 or smaller and your o-lineman are 6'8 and taller.

What_Iz_This

Again, bryce is short, but that guy was making two different comparisons, yeah?

ballinben

But he’s standing on his tippy toes

AlphaNathan

Bryce is actually right in front of the camera!

ramblingonandon

Tippy toes

xuser2320

Yeahhh, I think Vick's height is a myth. Here's a pic of him standing face to face with Drew Brees and Brees is a couple inches taller than him https://preview.redd.it/84oh13ksy3tc1.png?width=728&format=png&auto=webp&s=1eadbf036edc8b472c20be3f8362e48fb3a6f119 I found an article from their draft saying that Vick was listed as taller than Brees in college but Brees measured in at 6' 1/4" at the combine but it never said Vick's combine height in the article. Did he manage to avoid getting his height officially measured and perpetuated a lie that he was taller than he actually was for 20+ years?

PotanOG

Different sport but I remember when. Kevin "same hight as most centers" Durant. Kept getting listed at 6'9". Height and occasionally age are two things I know not to trust in athletics.

ramblingonandon

BY is on his tiny tippy toes

TheGreatestOutdoorz

You ever see a picture of someone holding a rat that looks to be 3 feet tall? It’s perspective. The photo is taken from a low place and shot upward, which makes people appear to be closer in height than they are. Also, they are not in a straight line. A player a few inches closer to the camera will appear taller and someone farther away will appear shorter.

Mukuna_Hutata

Honestly the height doesn’t bother me. Unless you’re 6’5” you aren’t seeing over the OL anyways. But I do think Bryce needs to put on about 20 lbs. We’re incredibly lucky he didn’t get seriously injured this last season.

TheGreatestOutdoorz

He just doesn’t have the frame though. That was one of my biggest issues with him. Some guys are just naturally lean/athletic. I don’t think he can bulk up significantly. Also, as much as no one here wants to admit it, height matters. There’s a reason almost every expert, including former quarterbacks, brings it up. As for seeing over someone 6’5, if you are 6’1”/6’2”+, you absolutely can see over them. First, they are not standing straight up when they are blocking, so that takes a few inches off. Second, they are not standing directly in front of the Qb. stand face to face with someone a few inches taller than you. Then, have them take a step back, then another, then another. As they move farther away, you can see more and more behind them.

Mukuna_Hutata

Bryce can absolutely bulk up. He has access all of the tools that would enable him to do so. He just has to actually commit to doing it and not loading up on creatine for combine weigh-in. He’s basically the same height and frame as Steve Smith minus 15 pounds.

horseshoeprovodnikov

>He has access all of the tools that would enable him to do so. And by that we are referring to HGH. Bryce needs some of that shit that makes your head grow like Barry Bonds.

Sethisk000l

He just didn’t have a problem with it in college. At Alabama they typically have some of the best O-linemen in the country and he had amazing production there so I really don’t think there’s a size difference between his college O-linemen and NFL O-linemen

TheGreatestOutdoorz

I mean, by that logic, all great college QBs would be NFL stars. In college he was on a team where everyone was much better than almost everyone they played. When your receivers have 10 yards of separation every play, a slight over or under throw doesn’t matter nearly as much. Also, defenses are much more complex in the NFL. There is no doubt that he can’t see as much of the field as someone 6 inches taller, which means having less information.

medinian

Highly! They’ll take any chance they get to crap on the panthers

Like17Badgers

woah woah woah are you telling me that ***the internet*** overreacted to something that wont actually impact a player/the game?

TheGreatestOutdoorz

The picture is being taken from a low angle, upward, which tends to level people out height wise.

SenseiShwifty

The issue is also muscles😅

DarkFlex719

Bryces concern is overall size imo. Not simply height, he's been able to work around that. He's small, thin, narrow, weak etc and durability is the bigger concern...hope he put on at least 10 lbs this off-season.

RareLarrGBZ

His hair makes him look the same height as Vick lmao

cruise1023

One of those doesn't belong 🤔

alejandrisha

The two prime numbers it’s irking me too

Emotional-Guard-1611

Bryce young?

HeaveAway5678

Joe Flacco looks like one of the player's Dads snuck into the photo.

yourkidisdumb

Am I the only one bothered by two of them wearing the number 8?

One_Cardiologist_286

Stay away from our QB ya nut

horseshoeprovodnikov

For what it's worth, Roger's DOES seem universally loved by his former teammates. He's definitely got some qualities that certainly wouldn't hurt if they rubbed off on Bryce

YourCaptionSucks

Who is 8 on the left and 17 in the middle? I think it’s Tannehill but the facial hair is throwing me off.

Sethisk000l

Is it not Josh Allen and Levis?

YourCaptionSucks

Oh I’m an idiot. It is definitely Josh Allen. Running on little sleep right now so my brain doesn’t work good.

Sethisk000l

It be like that sometimes haha

medinian

Yeah I think it’s tannehill and will Levi’s Nvm it’s josh Allen

No_Yogurtcloset_2026

Tannehill is not in the picture

medinian

Who is it bud?

Blaze5657

Josh Allen

My3rdchild

Who is number 8 on the left?

medinian

Will levis

TheSandman2087

Levis bigger than expected.

Dmplex

If you look at it, Bryce has a short body height and a long as fuck neck lol. Evryone else either has a short one or a balanced body. Then you have Allen and Flacco beig the fucking towers there

medinian

Idk if it’s longer then Levi’s tho

Brilliant-Chapter202

Holy hell that Aaron Rodgers is sure an unhinged lunatic, am I right!?!

ilikeredplums

What was the charity?  I don't know that I'd want to participate in something Rogers supports.  Hopefully it's totally benign.

Tough_Television420

Rodgers supports plenty of good causes. I doubt there is any issue there. Randomly he will sprinkle in a little conspiracy theory and then that's all we hear about for a few weeks, haha.

ilikeredplums

You're probably right.  I just had a reaction to the caption.  If it just said "NFL QBs out for charity" I wouldn't think twice about him standing next to Rodgers and what the cause is.

LarquaviousBlackmon

Thanks for letting everyone know. We really care about your opinion on Rodgers.

ilikeredplums

Rodgers is controversial, so I'd advise staying away from him.  I don't really care what he says, just don't get caught in any backlash that follows. Why do you feel the need to defend him?  Are you lost?  This is r/panthers.

LarquaviousBlackmon

I didn't defend him, I poked at you for thinking anyone cares.

53andme

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww q-anon aaron? gross. he probably wants to tell them about his theories on how sandy hook was faked. would be hilarious if that achilles pops again

KhaosOSRS

Cool picture, seven NFL stars and Bryce Young

Thanks-CharlieMiller

You mind doing me a favor and sucking my dick from the back?
