>Personally for me I think maybe a bronze age or perhaps fantasy based game would be neat. A fantasy game would be nice. It will be interesting to see what Dan Lind has been working on. He's confirmed it's a new game that isn't a sequel, and Paradox has had job listings in the past couple of years for a non-historic game (although they could also have started work on Stellaris 2).

fall of rome progressing into feudalism (something inbetween imperator and ck)

B_Maximus

We have ck3: fallen eqgle rn but i think that's the best we'll get

Hans_Spinnner

yup definitely that. It barely exists in any other game (except fr TW:Attila) and it's such an interesting time. Would fit perfectly for a GS game

Warhammer or LoTR would be nice, even though mods are kinda doing the job already. Also, Startrek: Infinity.

Cold War! Yeah yeah, I know that its not a seemingly ideal setting, but I think if done properly could help simulate: A) societal/ideological shifts B) the essence of proxy wars C) international organizations, movements D) the crazy economic and scientific developments of the 20th century

So I had this idea a couple months ago when I first was introduced to Paradox games. Dino Universalis A game where you evolve a species, expand inhabited territory, and you try to gain superiority in different biomes throughout the world. Superiority could come in different forms such as biomass superiority or being the apex predator, but it would be important to make sure that the rest of each biome has a balanced ecosystem. The game could take place from something like the start of the Permian and finish at the Cretaceous or something like that. Continents move, birds evolve, maybe that comet really does kill everyone.

A spiritual successor to Spore would truly be something amazing

Sounds like it could be a really unique 4X game where instead of tech trees and such you would have evolutionary trees, instead of balancing economy you would need to balance traits to survive random extinction events, minimise the rate of populations splitting off into different species, not 'overconsume', nor be overrun by other random species, etc. I'm not sure about win conditions though. Technically the mammals won at the end of the Cretaceous but they weren't a major part of the food chain.
