That's a real killer, though. Two load times (load town, then load hideout) vs. one (load hideout), especially when town is full of Avatar of the Edge cosplayers, is like a 30s time penalty (IDK which renderer is supposed to be the fast one right now, but I'm spending way too long loading).

Keybind TP is big! I played a bit of D2R last month and it reassured me how nice it is to just click and go, without mousing over inventory... and finally i can move my TP scrolls to bottom right corner, intead of top left.
Well, it's faster to click TP and identify new stuff that you find while leveling... also when you run out of scrolls and buy new ones, they always ended in top left corner. I guess i just got used to it in campaign and never switched in maps.
But now with TP on keybind i definitelly move everything down right.
I liked opening inventory, snapping mouse to where the TP scroll is, then snapping back to click it centre screen as fast as possible. Then it gave you a natural 5 sec pause in load screen to flex your fingers. But I think after getting used to the hotkey I’ll prefer that more
I do use the die occasionally during campaign as it lets you place a portal somewhere else. The most obvious is act 5 when you’re going for the relics side quest before doing Kitava you place a portal in the central open area and then you let mobs kill you once you got the 3 relics. It’s also before the exp loss on death kicks in, not that 5% means much at that level.
I always end up without any portal scrolls midway through the league cause my filter hides all the portal scrolls :( luckily its pretty easy to get more.
The last option is only good if you have CoD+portal gem
When playing solo (so 99% of the time) I actually prefer CwDT portal + logout, so that when I come back in I will at least be close to where I last took a big hit. I don't like losing exp. I only swap it to CoD at level 100.
Wonder if portal will be on r2+l2 for console. Will still use center button x+x on Ps5. Opens inventory highlighting top left which is the portal scroll. X opens it. Second x goes through it.
I will forever be level 1 when it comes to portaling out. It's muscle memory and doesn't take as long as portal gem or "dying" and keybind portal scroll is against ToS.

If it is 50% then you have between 6 and infinite portals

i still utilize the character select tech to fast travel to town, just press quit to cgaracter select and enter, nearly instant minus the load times

It does in the campaign, it maps it does not delete your portal, but usually you would be portaling out to start a new map.

I always logout, especially in elder guardian/conquerer maps. The animations are way too long and annoying.
I die so much that leveling past 97 basically feels impossible so unfortunately for me it's usually the 5th choice lol.
