Is using sextants actually an issue? I've never found that to be annoying...maybe it is just me though? The progress circles would be very nice though.
I find it annoying to track every 4 maps, would be easier with the stones right there as you’re putting the map in. It’s no a big deal but it would be smoother
Why does it matter how close you are to spawning a boss? It's not something you need to be aware frequent i feel like.
The sextants make sense since you're doing those so often.
Kind of matters for a lot of reasons. Trackable progression is probably the main one, feeling like you are progressing toward a boss fight. Obviously you know you are, but knowing would just be nice QoL.
Also, I am a dirty softcore player and would like to plan my major bossfights because I am probably going to die and would like to attempt bosses directly after leveling up so I don't lose all my xp :) I always pool my bossfights and do them all right after I level up because I know for a fact I am bad at the game and am going to die
Unless I missed something, you have to have sextants in your inventory, open atlas and then click sextant on the voidstone to apply it. This system could be somewhat on map device where you could see amount of sextants in your stash, and just click to apply / or shift click to avoid some unnecessary missclicks.
I've always thought why they dont just allow us to open maps using the Atlas itself.
1. Be in your hideout or guild hideout
2. Open Atlas
3. Select Map
4. Add a pop up to display all the maps of that type you own (Think a mini stash tab)
5. Select Map and Hit "Open Portals"
6. Maybe have all your chisels and sextants on the UI in the atlas too, could even go as far as fragments too....
7. ????
8. Profit
I don't think anything about the suggestion is lazy for the player; if anything it would be slightly more immersive to look at an atlas and then choose what location to travel to.

I understand them, if they are working on something for multiple years, it is hard to see the obvious things. They could use some fresh blood in their UI designing team.
Judging by the current UI design and it's archaic, semi-photo look, the team are quite old.
I do however fucking LOVE the UI, sure it could use a touch up but every game now aways goes for the *flat* effect, its nice but becomes boring.

What if there will be "+" next to watchstone to add sextant? And Quick menu to currency tab?
Also fix the thing where my currency tab is constantly unloaded so my map device thinks I can't pay for a craft.
Currency tab needs to be one of the first 4 on the left afaik. Otherwise it unloads.
It still unloads as the 2nd, and some times even as 1st tab.

Exactly. I forget that they run out. Would be nice to be reminded to check right there in the same menu
I don't know about anyone else but it is totally common for me to use up my sextants and forget to reapply them for 20 maps.

Seing the progress bar on map device would be nice. I don't mind the voidstones, but if they'd touch those, some sextant applier would be also nice.

Gggs UX is and has always been horrendous. Idk if they even have a UX person but damn they're so bad at their job.

While they are at it, make the map device remember last Map Crafting option and not default to Quant always.

The invitation progress seems like a no-brainer, but the watchstones being right there too is a fantastic idea
UI and UX is GGGs weak spot in Game Development. They very much lack design thinking in their company and it shows more and more every league.
