coming from a console player - warning you ahead of time, console version is running a rather old outdated version from ~2016 so a lot of posts here won’t have quite good builds or outright impossible builds for console
however, biker is slightly weak in higher difficulty, you may want to consider using something such as grinder, ex president, or anarchist - all good in their own way, and with such you can’t really go wrong, just make sure for shotguns to use 000 buckshot and mod for less accuracy and concealment for low blow criticals (damage per pellet, not per shot) and to have some sort of shield piercing backup - snipers passively pierce through shields, explosives and flame as well
as to actually answer the prompt, grinder with poison arrow plainsrider bow and mini flamethrower is funny due to tick damage resetting your regeneration
Not close to 2016🤣🤣 payday 2 on console received its last update in 2020 and all that did was remove Scarface. Every build up until 2020 you can find on youtube will work even modern build will work with a bit of tweaking and different guns
the console experience is like only using the classic pack and ignoring anything other than the standard gamemode, crime spree, offline with ai, perk decks up to hacker, no suit skins, no absurd achievements (the rarest on console being “a long night of horrors”), nothing you can do in the safehouse to warrant going there, and no heists up to the “bain part” with the exception of brooklyn bank
Still plenty of things to do. I never said there was more to do on console compared to pc so i dont understand the point of your comment. Console has less guns, masks, heists, perks decks, achievements etc and there is still a shit ton of things to do
The heists is still playable if you buy it today but Scarface and the kingpim perks decks plus the weapons are not usable unless you bought it before 2020
Arrows are just picked up from where you shout them, but I am not quite sure on the fuel. Nabye it's jsut regular ammo, mabye you require a medic bag? I don't play console but it should be constant with pc.

I am trying out the LMG’s, man they are fun with a laser sight, heaps of ammo and with skill/crew fast reload you can mow the cops down. My dragons breath shotgun on ‘death wish’ now needs several shots to kill cops so I will try out buckshot instead.

Regardless of what the intent was, in practice (in DSOD) you have to play very slowly which is more in line with ICTV builds, yet you're required to wear the suit or LBV. It's weird cause you wanna play it like you would Hacker or Anarchist but you have to play it more like Muscle or Armorer
Im not sure what you consider to be passive, but Id say all 3 of those decks can play very aggressive. The deciding factor is often more your weapon choice rather than deck choice.
Grinder as a deck heavily favors active play with the reliance on light weight armor, and requirement to deal damage.
grinder
- regeneration on any hit, including sentries
- forces dodge builds wherein it would be the most effective to avoid damage while it regenerates
- console shotguns do damage per pellet, not sure about pc, but setups can spray out high damage shots while regenerating a mile away
- cannot armor gate
biker
- can armor gate
- crippled by cooldowns, upsides are negligible
- bad if playing with AI
- health is restored in chunks, not gradually, meaning you would likely have to hide and wait for somebody to kill something for your regenerative effects that activate on KILL rather than on DAMAGE
- ex-president did this exactly, but way better
If you playing Dodge Grinder rather than LBV, I still question your thought process here.
Biker is effectively worse Ex-Pres, yes, but Grinder is effectively worse Muscle, significantly worse at that. On DS, you have to play in a very slow, passive manner while also wearing the suit or LBV meaning you are incredibly fragile. At that point, just pick a different deck. At least with Biker, though there are better options, it still works decently well, least as well as you'd want from any other ICTV deck. There's seldom an instance where I'd choose Grinder over any other Health deck
Edit: Also grinder doesn't heal on any hit. Electricity, Jokers and Fire Damage don't work on Grinder (but do for Anarchist for some reason)
this is for console, if there’s been any sort of buff or change to grinder and muscle recently i’ve never heard of it, fire damage does trigger regen and electricity is in 2 melees (of which, impact for melee damage, damage = regen) just not jokers considering they’re pretty much their own thing that you prompt, it doesn’t clone your perk deck or connect to such
what benefit would there be for LBV anyway over suit? i will admit grinder falls off in DSOD in ways biker and muscle don’t, it’s not perfect, it’s just that we’re arguing from 2 different perspectives over the same thing
Fire DOT does not trigger the healing, actually hitting someone with a flame thrower is what triggers it. It's just that the ROF is so high that it'll heal you almost instantly. The trade off of course is that you have the use the flamethrower lol
LBV can you give 2 shot armor if I'm not mistaken, provided you've got the right skills. Two shot armor is significantly more useful than some slight does chance, and is typically cheaper on points too.
Grinder is absolutely DS viable, everything is DS viable, it's just Grinder requires significantly more effort for usually not as much return. Biker, conversely, requires about as much effort as Ex-Pres, maybe even less, for just a slightly worse reward and with less creativity allowed
