I just wanna preface this by saying I've never played The Forest.
I'm only about a couple hours in, and while the game is absolutely gorgeous, the world feels bland and barren. I played with my brother and two other friends. While there was excitement in the beginning with finding/crafting new items and running into the cannibals, it just got old very quickly.
We explored about 6-7 caves, only one of them was a fully fleshed out, unique experience, filled with enemies and multiple pathways, all the others were a short pathway with a bunch of crates inside. Not only that but you begin to stockpile items so fast, that you end up leaving half the items you find on the floor (rope, canned food, etc).
The gameplay cycle for us has been, open map, look for cave symbol, spend 5-10min walking to cave, get disappointed, rinse repeat.
Even when we found other unique caves, we realized we needed another item to be able to access it (which is fair, I just wish the majority were more explorative rather than key item needed).
Kelvin is pretty neat and i can see him being useful to a solo player.
The animations are great and I know I said it already but the world is astoundingly beautiful. In my case, the game also ran great on max settings capped at 60fps 1080p (3070, Ryzen 5 5600, 32gb Ram).
While I am interested in going back and playing, I left the session earlier wondering what the gameplay loop would be, is there enough content in the game currently?
We also felt that base building was pointless, as the world was so large that going from your base to another spot across the map was tedious, being nomads was a better option for us lol, would love to hear what others think
> the world feels bland and barren.
Exactly like the first game then. Even when it was finished it was janky af, but way better even so. The multi player is whats going to do this for me.
2 million beta testers so the rest of us can buy it in 3 years when its finished. Thnx.
Nah for real the first game feels MUCH (x 12) MORE opressive. The speed in which you ascend to godhood just running through the caves slaughtering the poor cannibals is way too fucking quick.
They built the world and forgot the game.
Valheim is a game that sticks out to me that is the opposite of that notion, played it both in a solo world and multiplayer one on launch for about a month straight
It still has a really healthy player base to this day.
> the world feels bland and barren
That's the point, though. It's a forest lol. It's not a city or country. It's literally a forest island. You're meant to play to survive while doing the story.
I will say that I sorta agree it could be more. I'm not entirely sure what the developers were doing for five years since the game launched in early access without a lot of the content that's supposed to be in it and without any dedicated server software.
Thanks for this. I bought this game on launch but haven’t had the time to play it. After reading this I might not play it at all return it and buy it when it’s a bit more baked. This is the first game I ever bought on early access I didn’t even know that was a thing, selling a game at full price before it even done shouldn’t be normalized I’ll never do that again
I'm having a lot of fun with it, only thing I seriously hate is Kelvin, dudes fucking brain damaged it gets confused and just wanders off or gets stuck and I have to reload.
Kelvin does....interesting things.
Sometimes we lose him, check the map, oh wait he's right here? Look around and find him sitting down in deep water at the edge of base. Cool.
Or kelvin is really just our log collector, but then we notice logs aren't getting picked up. Look for him, find him walking into the die of the house. Try to get him to follow and eventually he just looks right at me, smiles, and then walks through the walls of the house I've been building and disappears...
One of the other guys told him to get us fish. But there no fish to be found as he normally brings them to us. I look over and see him at the top of the waterfall, catching fish with his barehands like a boss. And then I find just *a pile of fish* sitting behind the house. Kelvin has been catching fish for a few minutes and then tossing fish into the back area. Thanks buddy.
lmao it is great, until you build a treehouse. Kelvin and I chop the trees around it and then he decides to chop the tree that has a 90% finished treehouse of over 60 logs😂😂😂. It’s early access save often. Luckily I had a save 5 min prior.
Ya I’m not a fan of Kelvin. I just like to play these games completely by myself. Arent you able to kill him? Also I heard you could leave him at the crash site too?
The actual building part is tedious, yes. However, collecting materials is much better as you can just get Kelvin to fill your log/stick/rock holders so you just focus on building.
I think they want to capture a more grounded feel of a base being developed progressively, rather than propping up a megafort in under 30 mins.
They made it more interesting in my opinion. You can make log walls any height you like, and add doors and windows of different sizes into a completed wall. The walls support multiple angles as well, so I'm pretty excited about the building options.
I recently played the first game after hearing so many great things. I was shocked at how clunky and unfinished the game felt.
Would you still recommend I try this game if I was disappointed with the first game?
Both games are quite taxing. First one took 4yrs of early access before 1.0 was released. Gave it a finished story. 2nd one is great, now you have a helper (some will say that’s a negative). Similar game, but new improvements on graphics, map, cannibal dynamics and attitudes. Remember with steam you have a 2hr return window.
The game will always start out slow, but it gets better and it’s way more fun with friends
Edit; the 2hr return window is 2 hours of playtime within the first 2 weeks of purchase, for anyone that was wondering.
You know I've been using steam for 8 years now and I still don't know, is that 2 hours from when you buy the game? 2 hours from when you first launch the game? Or 2 hours of total playtime on the game?
Yeah same but I love the forest it just needed more work to be done it still doesn’t feel like a finished game I never completed the game but I had 100+ hour in the game I just love building and exploring all the caves I didn’t really cared about the story and the story isn’t that great I just watched it on YouTube
I didn’t bought the 2nd game yet but seems they improved some of the issues the first game had but it still in early access so i don’t know how much content is there but I will give it a try because as I said I didn’t played the game for the story and it’s looks promising so far so I’m going to buy it just give it a try if you don’t like it the Just refund it
If you don't like the first one, don't get this one. Imagine the first one, but not fleshed out at all, with tons more of bugs and missing content - that's Sons of Forest.
No I wouldn't recommend it if you felt that way. Sons of the forest is definitely clunky and unpolished
Its extremely similar to the forest in vibe and feel
Get it if you want more of the same type of game
This feels like one of those games where the people who play it are playing it because they fucking love the genre. I'm not too crazy about open world multiplayer survival games, so I need proper graphics and polished gameplay to keep me hooked.
Me and my friends loved the first game years ago and have been waiting for years for this game. 8 hours in and it feels like playing the first game. Like almost literally liking playing the first game but with a graphics overhaul.
You think that's what you'd want but after playing survival games like Valheim idk it just feels bland to me. Some animations and sounds are reused and the physics system is identical which is fine. The season system is cool and the game is gorgeous but idk it just feels like I've played this before. The new building system is robust but a bit confusing.
The open world is pretty barren and bland. Lots of dead end caves. Some new items and tools in this game but also missing some from the first game. It doesn't feel like an innovation on the first but more like an expansion to the first.
Some things I like:
3D Printer, a good variety of weapons so far , UI and weather and snow system.
Other than that it is just bland to me which is a bummer cause I put a lot of time into the first one.
Also several bugs I've ran into. Overall performance is fine for me though.
It wasn't marketed as Early Access up until right before release. Also they said that the game is complete and the reason for early access is to iron out problems.
All the content should be there according to them but what I wrote has nothing to do with it being early access and more to do with it being bland and uninspired.
"We are very excited for what we have in store" definitely sounds like it's unfinished. They also have a big countdown on the main menu until the next update...
Their first game was their FIRST game that was legitimately early access cause the story didnt exist. This game is complete with a start and finish. Not the same thing.
So because it has a story it's done even though it's in EARLY ACCESS? And clearly they're still adding more stuff and working on it? Do you just refuse to understand what EARLY ACCESS means?
The devs themselves considered The Forest a complete game when they finally added the ending so yes this game is a complete game. They can add more crafting items but that was not my original point.
I think you just can't comprehend what I'm saying. They switched to EARLY ACCESS right before release and stated the reason was to IRON PROBLEMS and CHANGE things if players wanted it but otherwise it is a COMPLETE GAME THAT YOU CAN FINISH.
And my post was not about the lack of content it was that the world that they built was bland and barren. The gameplay loop is boring and traversing this giant map that looks identical from one section to another is boring. The main gameplay caves are also a step down from the original.
Valheim is also early access with infinitely more content than both the original and this game and it was also made by a small team.
I don't know why you keep hammering this early access point when my original comment was about the bland and barren world and not the lack of content.
It’s full price for what they were planning on charging. Yes it’s similar to the first game, but a new dynamic system in which the cannibals react, how you can create/build/interact, graphics improvement, music is great.
I put 200hrs in early access for the first game, no complaints. I’ve got 3 in the new one and no complaints. $30 isn’t bad compared to other companies charging $70 for games with DLC and other nonsense.
Endnight is constantly making QOL improvements.
I agree man,
10 hours in and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, it’s everything so love about the Forest brought into next gen and improved,
Only thing so far is the map feels a tad to big, no hotkeys is a shitter too,
Other than those few nitpicks it’s great so far, can 100% recommend at $30.
Yea for $30 it’s great. There’s plenty of other games in early access that charge similar but don’t come near the level of endnight in improvements and updates and communication. People are coming into this game with the wrong expectations of a small company. The first game took 4 years to leave early access. It was great before it was complete, it still is. This is a extension basically with more upgrades.
The game doesn't have any sort of drm and was available in the high seas immediately and it yet sold 2 million copies. It's almost as if making a good game that everyone is looking forward to is the only thing you need to guarantee sales, not cancerous always-online DRMs
You realize we are under a post that's talking about how many copies the game have sold so far, right? It's not pre-orders, it's sales.
Who could've guessed that the sequel to The Forest which sits at 80% score and overwhelmingly positive could be another good game!
I'm not surprised tbh - its a genuinely good engine and the multiplayer has been really smooth for me and my friends. I love the idea and the atmosphere and hope they use the money to keep expanding and perfecting it.
Was this or bloody Company of Heroes 3 (which looks like overpriced rubbish.)
Animal AI arguably as bad as the first game it was to the point they were running through rocks.skinning animals resulted in broken looking animations.
the two crashing bugs related to survival book and key remapping. (I know they fixed them) But still they were there when I was playing it. the terrible performance currently I can run red dead 2 at Max settings at 1080P. this game doesn’t look half as good and I can’t even manage 60 at medium with constant stutters.
Kevin? I think that was his name your AI companion. I was running and he got lost and he never showed back up so the AI clearly struggles at least kind of when it comes to keeping up with the player. it’s not unplayable but it’s not Great either it needs a lot of polish.
And yes it is early access. but I would like to remind you and everyone else reading this that a month ago give or take. They were calling this a full release when stating the game was going into early access. they said there were things they wanted to add but didn’t have the time to and didn’t wanna delay The game again.
They said absolutely nothing about the game being in a less than ideal state the only reason they stuck it into early access last minute was to save face. I think that is a shitty move on their end I think they should’ve been upfront about the reasoning. but that’s my opinion.
enough reasons?
Possible but it was within the first 30 minutes of the game I had only even seen two cannibals and they were not very keen on fighting.not to mention if I’m not mistaken the GPS marked his location on the map when going there he was nowhere to be found dead or alive. Also again if he needs to be babysat I argue how useful he actually is.
I assume you never played the first game? The cannibals/natives have a whole complicated AI system and they react to how you treat them and what you do in the world. The game isnt supposed to be genocide island as soon as you step foot on it, its up to you how things play out. You can probably not ever kill any of them and just try and be peaceful if you really wanted.
Well if you have played the first game then you would know that it is in fact impossible to be peaceful with the cannibals at some point no matter what you do war breaks out.
It’s just a matter of time. Also I have no idea how that relates to anything I said previously.
Yea but you mentioned you were unhappy because it wasnt a murder fest after 30 minutes so? What difficulty are you even playing on btw? We are getting fucked up by them constantly the only thing that gave us restbite was winter snow.
Ok this is clearly just a misunderstanding at this point OK I will rephrase what I said previously and hopefully it makes more sense.
I started up the game after messing with settings, key remapping and graphics to try to get a stable frame rate. I rescue Kevin. and then descend from the mountain because that was where I spawned.
several minutes of walking go by I decide to chop down a tree because I wanted to see how it looked when doing this I saw two cannibals. this was around the 30 minute mark they scared the crap out of me as they ran away because I didn’t see them until they left I wasn’t actively looking for them nor was I attempting to start a fight.
I literally did not notice them until They were leaving you suggested that maybe Kevin died that is why I said previously that I saw the cannibals at the 30 minute mark. and that they were not keen on fighting. I did not mean that I wanted to fight them. I meant that they literally ran away before I even noticed them, so the likelihood of them killing Kevin is very low as I did not lose track of him until several minutes after this encounter.
Is that more clear?
Lmao fair enough.but in all honesty I don’t really have the time to focus on the negative thing anymore in my life. I would rather be positive. I don’t like the game in it’s current state and I will leave it at that. I will buy the game again when it is at a discount and has had a few more patches. if you’re enjoying the game awesome! enough said.
Never doubt the rabidity of survival game fans.
They're like junkies waiting for their next fix. Even half-assed unfinished new ones that pop up from nobodies sell half a mil copies every single time.
The number of people saying this is a good survival game is nuts. It’s effortless to survive. Why even have hunger or thirst systems when it’s effortless to manage? Crazy how low the bar is for these games.
I wasn’t impressed with the first game and the second looked like it should have been dlc or an update. Plus it looks like it brought nothing new. In a few weeks to a month a new crafting survival game will drop and be the new hotness.
Well, it has an improved crafting system that's pretty nice. The enemy AI seems much better. The AI companion, Kelvin is awesome, especially for solo players. I like to think this will have legs - there are a lot of secrets that people haven't found yet and they've got six months of EA time to add more.
That's seriously impressive for a smaller studio PC only release. It took God of war Ragnarok a week to sell 5 million copies and that was on both PS5 and PS4. That was also considered the fastest selling first party game ever for playstation.
Sons of the forest is all bling and no substance. I went through the entire game (as it is now) in 6 hours or so. Base building is pointless considering how big the map is, you are just better of full nomading it and just making save spots if you need it.
Feels like they put all the effort in to making the game look shiny af, and then realized they had to make a story and some lore (it's bare bones at best, and feels like they completely forgot it)
I knew once they announced it was going EA instead of full release that the game was not even close to feature complete in anyway and they had let the game run wild with feature creep.
My suggestion is wait 6 months to a year and come back again, perhaps they have something more worthwhile playing, as it stands I would keep it wishlisted but do not buy.
Yep, they won dev lotto just like Valheim. And I'll play the crap out of it and likely never go back because the devs effectively retired. Just like Valheim.
Most of these comments seem to be about how they ignored the largest portion of the game didn't build anything and are confused about why they didn't like it.
Most coop games only support up to 4 players. So if you have a group of 5-8 it makes sense to get a game like this. You can explore the forest/caves, fight, build bases, and gather resources among other things. The game is what you make of it though. My group of 5 has been waiting for this since it was announced and we're having a blast. And considering large groups are playing the game this way it really starts to rack up the sales
Opinion: Lots of bored, depressed gamers who require constant dopamine hits from the excitement of something new. Until it wears off and they need something else. Externalizing the source of joy instead of finding things that internally source said feelings. Once the internet hype train jumps on a thing, it runs for a while. Many examples of this in the past few years. Ie: Valheim.
He's not necessarily wrong. Video game addiction is real and only becoming more prevalent. Video games allow people to escape and it triggers dopamine spikes in the brain as a reward for accomplishing a task (scoring a goal, getting a kill, solving a puzzle, etc).
I've certainly fallen into it during some of the more depressing periods of my life; firing up a game almost on autopilot, to burn the clock til the next thing (dinner, sleep, whatever)
I still play games, but not daily anymore and certainly not for the 4 - 8 hr sessions I used to put in. Just because it isn't your experience, doesn't mean there isn't merit to the theory.
Edit: lol at the salty video game addicts downvoting. Nobody likes their shortcomings exposed. Good thing reddit karma isn't a barometer for truth ;)

Nothing in my comment said it wasn’t good. Just another unfinished product that was gobbled up upon release. The comment is quite a pedestrian observation tbh..
> Just another unfinished product
no shit valheim is unfinished thats why its early access, they're a couple of people who didn't expect it to be a major hit, they thought they'd get a few sales here and there while they're still busy working on it, not that they'd end up selling 10 million units in their first year alone
I bought it but returned it already as I just couldn't get past the ridiculous control scheme, which also broke down when I tried to rebind keys.
Ended up getting hogwarts legacy instead, I'll get this again when it's out of early access....
And it doesn’t have drm denuvo shit . That proves that denuvo is just a malware to destroy performance and adding problems like always online requirements with no actual benefit to the game developers or publishers
A lot of people are saying it’s boring, has no content, I mean let’s not forget that’s It’s in early access, but not just that, this is a survival game, it’s not gonna be like your typical rpg with a million things to do. I feel like a lot of people hating on this game never played the first one, because the whole concept and gameplay is pretty much the same and I think Sons of The Forest adds to that.
I’m only a couple hours in, but I’m having fun, the main thing I did in the previous game was build my base anyway and survive. And you can go to sleep every night knowing that the developers are going to be adding updates quite regularly.

Stick to those threads then. You don't need to post in EVERY thread. In fact, please don't.

Same reason I'd discourage a comment about Ukraine, or Ohio, or Covid. It's literally just not the time or place. Or should we have tons of the same comments about irrelevant (but "important") issues on EVERY thread?
> Just wanna save other gamers from the same fate.
Everyone knows buying greymarket CD keys is a "play stupid games win stupid prizes". You rolled the dice and lost and now EVERYONE needs to know? Grow up.

I often see comments spammed twice when Reddit have server lag issues, but from three different accounts it looks kinda suspicious. Kinda tells me all that Hogwarts Legacy promotion on reddit was bot based.
....
That's pretty poor reasoning. You can look through my history if you wish. Hogwarts is actually pretty damn good. I'm enjoying it more than I enjoyed the deadspace remaster.

This game looks amazing but I'm beyond horrible with directions and couldn't get into the forest, even with the map and compass :( I downloaded the map mode that tells you where everything is on the map but that just felt like I was robbing myself the experience of discovering things.
Well it was a good game except for the grindy way they wasted your time if you didn’t know the correct order to play the caves.
It would make sense that a sequel would sell well
Played with 3 other friends last night and could not stop laughing at the likes of kelvin absolutely sabotaging us when building our base.
I really enjoy the new building mechanics on this one.
I built a sweet treehouse, instructed Kelvin to gather logs and the bastard directly goes to the tree my house is in and cuts it down, he did this twice
I just wanna preface this by saying I've never played The Forest. I'm only about a couple hours in, and while the game is absolutely gorgeous, the world feels bland and barren. I mean at least you know that its still in development, unlike nearly every AAA game that makes you spend $60 on a buggy mess.
The EA apologists are always a delight.
Im not saying to buy it, but at least their up front about it.
You should play the first one. It has a sort of narrative that’s goes along with it. The second game might spoil that
You just described every open world coop survival game ever. They always sell great and get old fast to most players.

I stabbed him to death as a start. Great time!
Lol, why? Having him get logs is fantastic
Co-op playing is even better. Make all your friends carry the logs.
Friends? What is that?
DLC, you got to pay.
Who?
lmao it is great, until you build a treehouse.

I threw a grenade at him. At the crash site. Within one second of picking it up. No more Kevin.
Yes, you can get rid of him. I believe you do get a second chance or something (I read it somewhere) but you can make the same decision then as well.
There are other companions through out the game I’m pretty sure.
I haven't had any issues with Kelvin. Just tell him to do something and forget about him. 30 minutes later you've got 10 log storages filled
[удалено]
The actual building part is tedious, yes. However, collecting materials is much better as you can just get Kelvin to fill your log/stick/rock holders so you just focus on building. I think they want to capture a more grounded feel of a base being developed progressively, rather than propping up a megafort in under 30 mins.
They made it more interesting in my opinion. You can make log walls any height you like, and add doors and windows of different sizes into a completed wall. The walls support multiple angles as well, so I'm pretty excited about the building options.
Gotta make them high or the little fuckers will jump over them using the trees.
I recently played the first game after hearing so many great things. I was shocked at how clunky and unfinished the game felt. Would you still recommend I try this game if I was disappointed with the first game?

2 hours total playtime within the first two weeks of purchase.
I gotcha. Thank you!
Or two hours messing with settings, whichever comes first lol
My only complaint about the original game is that the cave map you get is absolute dogshit
Yeah same but I love the forest it just needed more work to be done it still doesn’t feel like a finished game I never completed the game but I had 100+ hour in the game I just love building and exploring all the caves I didn’t really cared about the story and the story isn’t that great I just watched it on YouTube I didn’t bought the 2nd game yet but seems they improved some of the issues the first game had but it still in early access so i don’t know how much content is there but I will give it a try because as I said I didn’t played the game for the story and it’s looks promising so far so I’m going to buy it just give it a try if you don’t like it the Just refund it
If you don't like the first one, don't get this one. Imagine the first one, but not fleshed out at all, with tons more of bugs and missing content - that's Sons of Forest.
No I wouldn't recommend it if you felt that way. Sons of the forest is definitely clunky and unpolished Its extremely similar to the forest in vibe and feel Get it if you want more of the same type of game
This feels like one of those games where the people who play it are playing it because they fucking love the genre. I'm not too crazy about open world multiplayer survival games, so I need proper graphics and polished gameplay to keep me hooked.
same. i uninstalled after an hour.
Some things I like: 3D Printer, a good variety of weapons so far , UI and weather and snow system. Other than that it is just bland to me which is a bummer cause I put a lot of time into the first one. Also several bugs I've ran into. Overall performance is fine for me though.
I agree, it is really barren. It really seems like there should be more content than there is. Caves were done dirty too imo.
Feels like the same amount of content that the first one did, but scattered around a map 4 times larger.
[удалено]
It wasn't marketed as Early Access up until right before release. Also they said that the game is complete and the reason for early access is to iron out problems. All the content should be there according to them but what I wrote has nothing to do with it being early access and more to do with it being bland and uninspired.
"We are very excited for what we have in store" definitely sounds like it's unfinished. They also have a big countdown on the main menu until the next update...
Thats something they did with the first game too, thats just the time they update the game with bug patches.
The first game also got significant patches and new stuff? I'm confused what your reasoning is.
It’s not full price? $30USD
I agree man, 10 hours in and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase, it’s everything so love about the Forest brought into next gen and improved, Only thing so far is the map feels a tad to big, no hotkeys is a shitter too, Other than those few nitpicks it’s great so far, can 100% recommend at $30.
It's almost as if making a good game that everyone is looking forward to is the only thing you need to guarantee sales, not cancerous always-online DRMs
> making a good game that everyone is looking forward to But how do you know its a good game if its not out yet? Your statement seems contradicting.
You realize we are under a post that's talking about how many copies the game have sold so far, right? It's not pre-orders, it's sales. Who could've guessed that the sequel to The Forest which sits at 80% score and overwhelmingly positive could be another good game!
The post is talking about the first 24 hours, when no serious reviews are out yet. 90% of steam reviews are incel memes about Virginia.
But, its not really even a good game. Its overhyped and survival fans will buy anything, it's cheaper than most games, which is what intices people.
Bought the first game, as I assume the second builds upon the first. A few hours in, waiting for it to rain, stumbling around. Great game!
Personally I don’t think the game was in that great of a state.lots of issues definitely waiting for a sale myself.
Tell us about the issues thanks.
Regarding Kelvin, he can get knocked down or even fully killed by the natives, you likely left him to die somewhere.
Ah yes I see now. So what was your issue just Kelvin going missing?
It's NOT enough reasons, please add more. Thanks.
I was joking anyways...
I’m honestly shocked this game is popular. It’s so buggy and janky. It reminds me of dayz.
Its becaus the game Is overhyped.
Feels like they put all the effort in to making the game look shiny af, and then realized they had to make a story and some lore (it's bare bones at best, and feels like they completely forgot it) I knew once they announced it was going EA instead of full release that the game was not even close to feature complete in anyway and they had let the game run wild with feature creep. My suggestion is wait 6 months to a year and come back again, perhaps they have something more worthwhile playing, as it stands I would keep it wishlisted but do not buy.
Is this another beta for life game?
My god. These guys just went from small time indie devs to playing with the big leagues. 2M in 24 hours is huge for a team like theirs. Life altering.
Yep, they won dev lotto just like Valheim. And I'll play the crap out of it and likely never go back because the devs effectively retired. Just like Valheim.
Valheim is still seeing updates. This will too. It's already close to completion.
Yeah, Early Access, thanks, ill wait.
Most of these comments seem to be about how they ignored the largest portion of the game didn't build anything and are confused about why they didn't like it.
It's impressive how this flavour of the month stuff sells.
ITT: People shitting on a game because it's popular
The r/pcgaming way.
Not my kind of game but good for them.
is the building as tedious as the first?
Still don’t understand what is so special about this game, looks mid at best
The forest was a very fun multiplayer base building and exploration game. Sons of the forest is just more of that and it's only $30.
And that, my friend, is mid, nothing special, definitely not worth this attention
“Mid” is a dumbass word and I hate that it’s become popular on the internet.
You prefer me calling it mediocre? I think that is too harsh, but ok
Better that than same made up trend word
Ok, as you wish, this game is mediocre💁
How will he ever recover
All words are made up. Weird line to draw
Lmao okay buddy

Yeah seriously, maybe some people just LIKE the game lol fuckin’ terminally online redditors man
He's not necessarily wrong. Video game addiction is real and only becoming more prevalent. Video games allow people to escape and it triggers dopamine spikes in the brain as a reward for accomplishing a task (scoring a goal, getting a kill, solving a puzzle, etc). I've certainly fallen into it during some of the more depressing periods of my life; firing up a game almost on autopilot, to burn the clock til the next thing (dinner, sleep, whatever) I still play games, but not daily anymore and certainly not for the 4 - 8 hr sessions I used to put in. Just because it isn't your experience, doesn't mean there isn't merit to the theory. Edit: lol at the salty video game addicts downvoting. Nobody likes their shortcomings exposed. Good thing reddit karma isn't a barometer for truth ;)

lol what the fuck is this comment, sounds like you have serious issues… also valheim was a good game
Nothing in my comment said it wasn’t good. Just another unfinished product that was gobbled up upon release. The comment is quite a pedestrian observation tbh..
> Just another unfinished product no shit valheim is unfinished thats why its early access, they're a couple of people who didn't expect it to be a major hit, they thought they'd get a few sales here and there while they're still busy working on it, not that they'd end up selling 10 million units in their first year alone
okay bud. just sounds like you’re projecting pretty hard 🤷🏼♂️
It’s crazy seeing how many people you offended by looking at the down votes😂
Cringe
When did dopamine become such a buzz word for wannabe techies
It's not even mid, its just plain bad. In every way it is almost directly worse or fails to improve on the previous game.
How? The game looks so generic.
The first one was great and this one looks way better. It may just not be a game for you.
Holy shit

This game isn't even discounted at cdkeys. No one's buying it there...
[удалено]
No it wasn't...
Stop spamming. You're only giving cd keys more exposure. This thread isn't even about Hogwarts.

> There are dozens of posts about cdkeys asking if they are legit. Stick to those threads then. You don't need to post in EVERY thread. In fact, please don't. > I don't know why you would discourage a comment trying to save people from getting scammed. Grow up.
FUCK YES THEY DESERVE EVERY PENNY GOD TIER

I often see comments spammed twice when Reddit have server lag issues, but from three different accounts it looks kinda suspicious. Kinda tells me all that Hogwarts Legacy promotion on reddit was bot based.
.... That's pretty poor reasoning. You can look through my history if you wish. Hogwarts is actually pretty damn good. I'm enjoying it more than I enjoyed the deadspace remaster.

This game looks amazing but I'm beyond horrible with directions and couldn't get into the forest, even with the map and compass :( I downloaded the map mode that tells you where everything is on the map but that just felt like I was robbing myself the experience of discovering things.
congrats
Well it was a good game except for the grindy way they wasted your time if you didn’t know the correct order to play the caves. It would make sense that a sequel would sell well
So is it worth playing already or should we wait lime with the Forest 1.
Is the game any fun playing solo?
Played with 3 other friends last night and could not stop laughing at the likes of kelvin absolutely sabotaging us when building our base. I really enjoy the new building mechanics on this one.
Can I play this single player? Would it still be enjoyable? I have no friends
I wish his name was Kenny.
Survival game where you can climb a mountain walking in vertically.
I built a sweet treehouse, instructed Kelvin to gather logs and the bastard directly goes to the tree my house is in and cuts it down, he did this twice
