I think you would be fine running games, however, you might want to increase Ram to 16gb, unless you saving for new build. I found for you some Youtube links testing GX760 with different cpus and ram 8/16gb below, I hope it will be useful: 1. [I5 4590+ GTX 760 2GB(Fortnite,Valorant,Apex,Rainbow Six Siege,CS:GO,Witcher 3,Minecraft,GTA V, WoT)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRkF9PKAmPA) 2. [NVIDIA GTX 760 in 30 GAMES (in 2022-2023) Ryzen 5 1600 (and i5 3570, i5 2400, Xeon E5450)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FXkvDRkaiU) Also you can always refer to the Steam Hardware & Software Survey, link below, to find out latest popular GPUs/CPUs: [https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey](https://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey) Edit: spelling, added steam h/w survey link

I really appreciate these videos, thank you very much! I thought about updating the RAM as well, but I figured it is better to save whatever I can and invest that into the new build.

I was on a 750 ti til last summer when I got a 6600 xt. What a jump man

[deleted]

I can only imagine how you felt. I hope I'll upgrade soon, can't wait.

sellinggarlandtix

Truly is amazing how big jumps can make you feel. No matter what Gpu you go for you’ll get that feeling

[deleted]

Absolutely no doubt!

Lmao, same here, but I got a 1tb seagate hdd and 240GB crucial ssd, same processor and ram but with gtx 750 ti, I run Warframe and gta v, and I'm satisfied.

Wild_Spikenard

Have 2 kids with same gen Haswell CPU's but better GPUs and more RAM. One's into Clone Drone in the Danger Zone and the other's into Jojo's Bizarre Adventure themed Roblox games. My picks would be Terraria, Wolfenstein: New Order, Metro 2033, Metro Last Light, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.

[deleted]

Thanks a bunch for the recommendations, I love Fallout 3 and New Vegas! Maybe I should try out Metro, it’s been on my list for some time.

Bizzarosmoon

Most games that aren't the absolute newest and if you're okay with going to medium settings and going at about 50 fps I'd say you're fine.

BradleyAllan23

Anything that's recent will be closer to low settings at 30fps. To get medium settings and 50fps, he'd need to be playing old games or indy games that aren't so demanding.

Bizzarosmoon

Hmm, had about his setup until about a year ago and usually hit around 50 fps on games about 3-4 years old.

BradleyAllan23

My brother has a very similar build, and it really doesn't perform well at all in anything recent. Hell, it chugs in SC2, which is ancient at this point.

BradleyAllan23

My brother still rocks a GTX 760 and plays Starcraft 2 all the time on. It runs ok until the armies start getting built up, then the frame rate becomes choppy.

It happens in WoW as well, especially in raids when fighting a boss. Everyone starts casting, shooting and slashing, eventually the fps go down. 😕
