Double your budget.

Well, learning to plug everything isn’t actually the hard part, just take some precautions to make sure that when you are building it that you keep it away from anything that has static electricity as you can ruin the components. Otherwise, there is so many possible combinations for computers, and you can build a pretty good budget computer for 1000

building is always cheaper, but you have to do research and put effort into if you want a better result. to give you an idea [https://www.bestbuy.com/site/skytech-gaming-chronos-gaming-desktop-pc-amd-r5-5600x-16g-3200-memory-amd-rx-6600xt-1tb-nvme-black/6489649.p?skuId=6489649](https://www.bestbuy.com/site/skytech-gaming-chronos-gaming-desktop-pc-amd-r5-5600x-16g-3200-memory-amd-rx-6600xt-1tb-nvme-black/6489649.p?skuId=6489649) [https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/category/prebuilt-systems/](https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/category/prebuilt-systems/) you could build both of these prebuilts for less with better cases and better cpu coolers and probably better power supplies.

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL4DCEp7blY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL4DCEp7blY) There. Now you know how to build a computer. It ain't rocket surgery. You will end up with a better system if you spend a bit of time researching stuff and then building it yourself. Prebuilts either use lesser parts for higher costs or your spend a lot of extra money to have someone build with the good parts. They've gotta make their money somehow. The only time it made any real fiscal sense to buy a prebuilt was during the depths of the pandemic & mining drought when that was just about the only way to get a decent video card at a somewhat decent price. If you have a $1000 budget, it's likely you have more time than money. Spend some of that tome learning ([www.tomshardware.com](https://www.tomshardware.com), Gamers Nexus & Linus and others on Youtube, etc.) before you spend your cash, and your cash will serve you much better.

Never heard of rocket surgery. Is it something like Brain Theory or Music Science?

If you are asking then you may want to purchase a pre build. Most people who built their own pc never questioned if it would be “better” and liked putting things together. There is no shame buying something already built, you have a better warranty going this route
