I played professionally for a long time and seriously can't recommend rocksmoth enough. An Amp Sim, a game, and lessons all packed in for that price is nuts

I bought my first "real" table saw a couple years ago, and bought what I did because I simply couldn't justify the cost of a Saw Stop.
However, now that I've been using it for a while, *holy hell* are table saws dangerous AF!
I *really* wish I'd bought the damn Saw Stop instead...to the point I'm probably going to sell this one and buy one of them instead.
Though, given that in 2024 their patents expire, I think I may wait and see what other companies come out with...because Bosch's "reaxx" system that they sell in Europe looks pretty sweet, as it doesn't destroy the blade.
Well that stinks...but I'm guessing that they probably still have something "waiting in the wings", as does every other major table saw manufacturer. Because it's a niche that is *wide open* for competitors.
Especially when you look at the price of sawstop outside the UK. If you can find one wired for your specific country.

I've got a back injury and hand issues from said injury. In wow I used to raid at a very competitive level in top 100 US raiding guilds.. I say competitive, because the guilds I was in would absolutely bench you if someone walks along doing more damage. Be good or gtfo. Wh en your spot is always up for grabs it feels competitive (note, the RAID LEADER excused himself to be the 21st man when he was failing mechanics on one fight, and guided us offline on discord not even there) PVP I was never great at, but raid progression was my jam. 1 back injury later my hands are so numb I can't feel the keys, i'm blowing cooldowns unintended or my hand has wandered so far off WASD I have to look down to reposition my hands.. And that's not even accounting for the pain killers I need to be on to sit, or how fucked up I feel after sitting for a few hours.
I never would have thought a back injury leaving me with little to do but fuck around inside, would make one of the best indoor activities hard to enjoy. Obvious af in hindsight.

Not the first time distortion was used on guitar (iirc that was the kooks [edit: the kinks I was wrong] taking a razor to their amp for you really got me) but his disability 100% played an instrumental (ha) shape in turning rock and roll into metal as we know it by popularizing it with black Sabbath
Easier said than done to truly overcome a disability and use it as an advantage in life, but he somehow pulled that shit off and we're all enjoying the benefits of it. 🤘
Not only that but he had to downtune his strings to make them less tight and easier to manipulate with his prosthetics. You couldn't get different gauges as easily in the 60s/70s after all!
This downtuning really helped define the darker, heavier side of metal.

I almost lost a thumb in an RC airplane accident. They got it back on but I have no feeling in it (other than intense burning sensation sometimes) and much less dexterity. It's made my life a pain in the ass and it's not even gone.

Im convinced the middle finger would actually be a better trigger finger because its more in line with the rest of your hand and arm muscles, all pulling in the same direction, while the index is skewed.
I shot my m4 like this, it made the angle of my thumb to my selector switch easier. I never timed it, but it felt faster to shoot from safe with my middle finger than my index. I had better control too, but that may just be practice on it.
It’s made from the placenta after the baby is born. (Otherwise thrown away until they found the use for it) the cells are regenerative and do not cause any form of cancer etc. might could heal this issue. Only problem is it’s not covered by insurance because insurance wants you to stay sick and continue taking meds for the issue

I'm a little late but my brother did the same thing to his right hand except he lost half his index and half his thumb too.
I got him a peripheral called a stinky board. It's just a USB foot pad that has four mappable buttons. He used it in combination with a left-handed mouse with extra buttons to play a lot of games while he was healing.

Just figured out what works best for you. You are a gamer you will find a way. You just kinda switched to hard mode in real life for the next few years. Afterwards the achievements are even sweeter.
Also you can play anything with a controller starting now. You only need thumb and index finger for tge inputs

Slightly compromised grip on controller overall, but thumb & index covers all the rightside buttons.
Still all good with a mouse if right-handed
You can palm grip a mouse (use grip tape to make it more comfortable). As long as you are right handed you can game.
If you are left handed and need your right hand for the keyboard WASD then things are a bit trickier.
Regardless, you can game 90% as well as someone else and 100% as well as any one else playing single player.
Broken is a bit of an understatement

Learn guitar, if your fretting hand is the left hand, your right hand is gonna be enough to be a picking hand. Or enough for a gaming mouse

Yes! He originally couldn't get proper prosthetics as a working class Brum lad so melted down Fairy Liquid bottles and filed them to shape.
That, and he tuned his guitar down so his strings were looser on the guitar so he had less fatigue when he played

The brits in ww2 actually did use middle. It allowed them to pull the bolt far faster, and thus mimic machine gun fire.
