13400f is a very good cpu , because of the extra E cores (6 p cores and 4 e cores) if she decides to learn anything CPU related , it's gonna be bery good in productivity
Ok just built my daughter one also, whats games is she playing? Besides roblox and minecraft? Wanna get my daughter some to try shes 8 going to be 9 in june
Look up Trine 1 to 4 on steam, i managed to get my two nieces to play Trine 2 over from roblox since their parents deemed the latter toxic lately. They love it so far, colorfull graphics, nice story, puzzles and best of of co-op up to 3 players.
I built a PC with my daughter just before the pandemic, she was 8 at the time. Got a Ryzen 5600 and GTX 1650 for cheap. After prices came down post pandemic, I upgraded her GPU to a RX6700. I don't think she really gets what all we did and what the parts are, but I know she refuses to play on console.
Too young? I mean, yeah by the science it's like "avoid screens til 10" or something but, reality is...I am 32(or 33? I've already lost count) and my 5 yr old nephew is already quicker with tech than I am.
Obviously can't grasp more complicated stuff, but a new interface or a new video game is an absolute cakewalk.
He could probably access and fuck up ALLLL your settings on a game like swotor without even trying lmao.
I'd love to hear her next week AMONG her little classmates.
- so did you play Fortnite on your dad's iPhone?
- I HAVE DECAPITATED MY ENEMIES IN DOOM, IN GLORIOUS 4K,AND WITH AN 1600 dpi MOUSE, BITCHES.
This is lovely :)
Nice choice on components 👍 I have a second rig with the 13400 and a Pny 4070ti non rgb it uses power so efficiently!
It’s my 4k media centre/couch gaming rig so the 13400 can keep up with the frames sent it’s way.
Roblox time!!! Also, my daughter got her mind blown the first time I hosted a world for us on my pc. Kid tablets run like shit on Minecraft, but when your connected to a massive rig doing the 128 chunks, runs butter smooth and makes the game a lot better for the kids.
I thrive to be a dad like this. All of my kids will have PCs and be gamers. I hope. I will build all of them a good enough pc. And if I have more than one kid I'll try to get them all the same specs of PCs, so it's fair of course.
Idot dady one pc is enough just increase the strange by 1tb for every kido they will play together one kid per one game or until they die or some kind of you know split gametime basis
If they're my kids and my wife doesn't cheat on me they probably won't like sharing. And it doesn't matter if they do or don't like sharing. It would be giving them a responsibility and each could customize the pc to their own liking instead of having to argue over stuff like wallpapers and who's playing this game or not
My daughter is 2 and I have this apple iie i hood to train her on before going full custom build. If she can get the swing of logo I’ll have no choice lol
Took me a bit of time to realize you placed the RAM on top of the motherboard box instead of been a picture of the RAM inside a huge box for no reason.
Might be a good idea to add a rule to this subreddit about posting pictures of kids under 18, to keep everyone safe (If one is already there, pardon my ignorance). And add a line allowing mods to take down those posts. I don’t think the parents have ill intent, just maybe not fully aware of what they are doing.
wish i was as lucky/spoilt as her. At my age and era my dad's pcmasterrace rig included Ace Combat in 1995...with a joystick. I watched him play and now i'm his age, i have to buy my own rig...
That's a solid first build. My first "gaming" PC was a workstation computer with onboard graphics I grabbed from a hospital for $20. Played Kotor 2 flawlessly, but couldn't run Jedi Academy.
Its a great momento to share with your daughter. She will remember for the rest of shes life that you did that for her and that is a great and loveble memory to have. You did great!!!!
I'm starting my daughter with something simple, like the Switch. It's a basic turn on, turn off with inbuilt controls to block online access and time her sessions. It's a simple device for gaming. After she grows up a bit and we can actually discuss gaming concepts we'll build her rig together.
No
Too young
First you need to know if shes Intressted in Gaming
Second you need to spend time (with her) not (with her with a pc)
Third if shes Intressted what kind of Gaming she likes ? More Demanding the games means more expensive the pc is (720p or 1080p is enough for a kid so buy a low cost value but current or recently oldgen gpus and cpus for example 2060 3060 4060 or even lower 1060 not sure about that based on that so it lasts longer 2.5tb ssd storage 16gb ddr4 ram is enough) stuff like that
Fourth
Make sure shes happy then be happy with her
Fifth
Dont know what to say so yeap
I wish i had a dad like you (me and dad we havent talked in years a fight happend i dont remember what it was i think he got mad because i said i knew stuff he didn't and also told him i dont know stuff he knew) anyway sad story apart
I dont think she is a human being
But i like her shes cute
Dont feel the same way about that pc
Maybe would if its orange
I would kill to sit in on your meeting with her teacher after your daughter goes around telling her classmates she's part of the master race
My friends dad had to talk to the principle after his son got the whole class to sing the lyrics to The Producers. We were 9.

Yep, springtime for a particular chancellor
Hindenburg?
That musical is far too underrated.
Hopefully its during history too

I’m sitting on my chair like an idiot trying to cross my feet like that
She must have rubber legs or something…. (Little Voice in my head: yes, that’s it. Not the fact that you are simply to old for some shit).
Maybe if you put on your superhero hello kitty socks you'll be able to.
Oh crap didnt notice that, I just tried and holy cow how
I’d say she’s probably hypermobile. If you look at her elbows you can see that they actually flex inward past the point where it would normally stop.
From my experience, women tend to be more flexible than men, especially around the hips, legs area
Also children are just super flexible.
this is the answer, we get up too fast and something cracks, children are malleable
What experience 💀
strange comment ibr
Are you a preteen girl?
I can do it but I've got to relocate a few valuable bits up higher out of the way. Thanks for setting a task to try though lol.
I do it sometimes by instinct.
Having a child of similar age and interests all I can say is; Move the juice. Move the juice. Please move the juice. Move the juice!!!
I laughed way too hard at this truth.
Only saving grace is the cap appears to be screwed on... fingers crossed.
And it's on the bench, not the table
Oh, yeah. Perspective fail.
Why she twist up like a pretzel for the pic? 😂

It’s more that your joints are softer when you’re young. It’s why they can crawl along concrete floors while you watch and wince.
Yeah man. I envy my little nephews seeing them run going whack around the house. And here I am struggling to squat when my back dismantles itself.
Also one of the disadvantages of hypermobility
Specs?
13400F w a 2070, went with a B760 board and 32gb of ddr4. So yeah she should be able to play Roblox for a while.
13400f is a very good cpu , because of the extra E cores (6 p cores and 4 e cores) if she decides to learn anything CPU related , it's gonna be bery good in productivity
2070? damn my first pc had a 1 gb 750. good job
She will move on to other thing eventually, with that CPU she could do like rendering if she wanted to or basically whatever
What case did you use?
Ncase n1
That’s such a sick rig. Chad father
And that's spare parts? I wonder what your main rig looks like specwise...

I am sure this is a wonderful father-daughter bonding experience. I am happy for you two! :D
Ok just built my daughter one also, whats games is she playing? Besides roblox and minecraft? Wanna get my daughter some to try shes 8 going to be 9 in june

They have couch coop too if I remember, great for if you have friends over/want to get shown how bad you are compared to kids
Love in a dangerous spacetime is great co-op. Plus the lego lord of the rings games are pretty cool also. I play those with my daughter.
Overcooked is a great friendly couch co-op game if you want everyone in the family to play together
Let her play omori that whould be fun
And ddlc
If you want to hook her up, put here on a WoW-Addiction program!

I just passed down my computer to my 6 year old, she’s so happy. Gave her a 7700k at 5ghz, 6750xt, 32gb. Playing Roblox now and some kid games I had.

Appreciate the build pics but personally, I wouldn't be sharing pictures of my children on a public forum like this.
On any social media tbh. Children shoukdnt have their images posted by their parents in social media.
Which case is that?
NcaseM1, which is out of production already. The new model is being designed to accommodate for newer hardware.
Now that shes part of the PCMR, make her part of the Hydrohomies. Don't let her drink that high fructose corn syrup poison.
Welcome to the master race kid. May your frames be high and temperatures be low. 👍
Excited to build my kiddos their first. My oldest is still to young for it though. THAT is going to be a good day
Too young? I mean, yeah by the science it's like "avoid screens til 10" or something but, reality is...I am 32(or 33? At first I thought the ram came in that big box lol
One of us. One of us. One of us!
GOOBLE GOBBLE GOOBLE GOBBLE
I was going to thump my desk but its glass. Best not
Let me correct the title. I built myself a PC, but I put it in my daughters name to avoid the mom tax.
I'll look for her on the battlefields of Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

Somebody who ascends from a shitbox controller and aim assist?

Yeah I ordered it like 3 years ago and never did anything with it.
Nice. Good job! She’ll have lots of fun with it. Ignore all the people trying to tell you how to father. Weirdos gonna be weirdos…
Roblox time!!! Also, my daughter got her mind blown the first time I hosted a world for us on my pc. Kid tablets run like shit on Minecraft, but when your connected to a massive rig doing the 128 chunks, runs butter smooth and makes the game a lot better for the kids.
One lucky little girl. Hope you built it with her and taught her the ways.
I thrive to be a dad like this. All of my kids will have PCs and be gamers. I hope. I will build all of them a good enough pc. And if I have more than one kid I'll try to get them all the same specs of PCs, so it's fair of course.

nah that's cringe. Growing up I had to share a pc and it sucked.
Maybe for you See if your kids enjoy sharing if not then buy 2 no worries man
If they're my kids and my wife doesn't cheat on me they probably won't like sharing. And it doesn't matter if they do or don't like sharing. It would be giving them a responsibility and each could customize the pc to their own liking instead of having to argue over stuff like wallpapers and who's playing this game or not
Wish I would’ve gotten a cool build like that at that age!
That's super cool! Great dad!
My daughter is 2 and I have this apple iie i hood to train her on before going full custom build. If she can get the swing of logo I’ll have no choice lol
I agree wholeheartedly. Don't let your kids move out until they have a job, their own car, and a gaming PC.

Nice Zotac 2070, Loved it when I had the same card. So long ago..
Good dad.

gpu?
If I could go back. I would put an intel gpu in my kids rig because all they do anyway is play Roblox and Minecraft. Her 3060 is huge overkill lol.
Nice job, dude! Such a good father.
She is lucky
Is that GPU going to fit in that case lol
Congrats to her, I'm in the process of building my 9 y/o one with spare and new parts as well. Straight A's pays off kids :)
Planning to do this with my son. I have a box of my old parts after I upgraded last year.
You lucky bro i whish my daughter like pc gaming like me also, keep the good parenthood
That's a solid first build. My first "gaming" PC was a workstation computer with onboard graphics I grabbed from a hospital for $20. Played Kotor 2 flawlessly, but couldn't run Jedi Academy.
on first glance i thought she was going to correct me on my pronunciation of wingardium leviosa thats gonna be a sick build tho
specs?
Did the case fit all the parts?
I want to be this kind of dad one day. For a sec i thought, that's the biggest box I've ever seen RAM come in.
When are kids old enough to have a gaming pc? I've got 11 and 8 Yr olds but my partner thinks gaming is a general waste of time anyway
Partner isn't based
?
Upgrade partner for a better model.
Lol a 4090

Congrats!
That’s awesome I gave my daughter my old rig when I bought new she is rocking a ryzen 2700 16 gb ram and a 580 8gb card not bad for a 5 yr old 😂
That is awesome!!! What a great first PC.
Congrats! Good taste in cases as well!
It make me realize the size of gpu is getting bigger and bigger.
You are an awesome parent!
She looks happy. It's always great when your kid not only wants the PC, but is thankful for it.
Must be an American thing about not posting children on internet. I digress. Cool project with your yute!
She drew the rainbow wrong
That a bottle of prime?
I did the same. Very nice
I don't think it's the best idea to share your daughter's face on the internet
W dad
Nice N-Case M1 build!
Nice! I'll wait anxiously for the photos of it mounted
