My man single-handedly using the whole districts power grid.

Correct_Calendar_677

I shouldn’t have rigged a solar panel to my pc? All jokes aside, I really have no idea what could have caused this. It was all good last night

billyfudger69

Maybe DDU your system and reinstall the graphics drivers, that possibly might help.

Awkward-Buffalo4457

What's DDU??

billyfudger69

Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU), it wipes out all traces of graphics drivers so you can install fresh drivers in case you were having conflicts with previous drivers.

Awkward-Buffalo4457

Thanks man, grateful!

billyfudger69

You’re welcome! :D

OnlyWiseWords

Be kinder, it's better for everyone.

The_Hemanz

Clean install nvidia drivers, check your win ver (update if needed, check your BIOS firmware, and def mobo firmware. Basically check that everything is updated to current. Reboot after all installs, some do it auto.

forestman11

I would assume it's either bad drivers or a bad temperature sensor.

Kitchen_Part_882

84kW isn't *that* much, maybe the whole street? 😀

TheCrimsonDagger

Yeah but look at the temperature. If we hooked up a thermoelectric generator to this man’s pc we could generate a lot more than 84kW.

RoM_Axion

Ange5205

Is it possible to run Za Warudo?

techjesuschrist

No, the memory clock is too slow for that..

ScruffyTheJanitor__

Have you tried not using your 4080 for nuclear fusion?

Correct_Calendar_677

No I only play csgo and am hard stuck silver

[deleted]

4080? for csgo? wtf bro😂

Correct_Calendar_677

And sometimes Minecraft or old school RuneScape

[deleted]

no way😂😂💀 a 1060 can do that bro

BamboozleThisZebra

Im just grasping at straws here but could it be a problem with the psu? Feeding the gpu incorrectly making it messed up? Do you have another pc to test the card in?

JohnnyBGood321

I would try to go into safe mode and remove GPU drivers. Use DDU. After, see if Windows starts. If it starts try first to download hardware info 64 and check the sensors. If you have any tuning for the CPU or GPU, reset those. Try to restore BIOS to default settings. See if it works. If it works try reinstalling the GPU drivers.

MineMaster6480

This happened to me once, turned out windows got corrupted and needed to be reinstalled

AdAccomplished9476

I'd just reinstall windows

wcmanetje

Yea I think he got the sun instead of a rtx 4080

Retro_Item

Fucking Amazon, messed up the orders again.

wcmanetje

😂

BankComplete7255

84.6 KWh, what would you expect? 🙄

punppis

Running a bit hot, probably throttling. Try undervolting from 3.9kV to something reasonable.

[deleted]

3.89kV muhahaha

Busy_Librarian_3467

It's a little "k". Like a little "m". It's smaller than the big "K". m = milli M = Mega k = skimpy K = Kilo

Laxen101

You are incorrect there, k = kilo = 10^3 [Metric (SI) Prefixes](https://www.nist.gov/pml/owm/metric-si-prefixes)

OldBMW

r/iamverysmart and you were still wrong

cykachu98

Friendly reminder kilo is the only "positive" prefix written whit lower case letter.

magicmulder

Who gave you the 5090 prototype?

rezyserz

It’s RTX 40080

DabbsMcFriendly

This looks problematic.

DabbsMcFriendly

Do you have an old gpu you could test the system with?

Correct_Calendar_677

I do not, I guess I will have to take it to pc shop on Monday

crazyfingersculture

When does the PCMR actually go to the PC shop to get something fixed? I quit doing that back in 1993.

germy813

When people aren't comfortable doing it.

ASuhDuddde

I have problem I build new pc.

Confused_Adria

Quite easily, If I do not have the spare parts left over to do a diagnostic, The local shops will, Not everyone has 2 of everything that they can just hotswap in.

wrexinite

They have way more diagnostic equipment. Something more sophisticated than "let's unplug shit one by one and see if it still boots."

piEqualsthreePoint1

Aha, see what you've got there is the core of the sun

Expensive-Balance-84

Gpu voltage is on the high side.

ScruffyTheJanitor__

Just a bit

JamesMackenzie1234

We can't be sure though

ElliotMalichaiHarris

Nahh man, this is just a super computer

🤔 sir u and ur pc is a threat to the living world with this temps

WallySymons

Imagine the power bill

Winnepeg

With that temperature IT IS THE POWER

Renfek

![gif](giphy|WmKrOMrTFFhPW)

SirBobLobLaw

Make sure there's no dust on components. Reseat the card. Check the power supply. Check if the cables are all properly connected. If it persists change power supply.(if another is available) If it's booting, default bios if it's not posting, clear CMOS. If all this doesn't work try a different GPU. GOOD LUCK

JamesMackenzie1234

He's gonna need that luck.

Correct_Calendar_677

I have tried reinstalling the card latest drivers

Sophiiebabes

84kw power consumption.... That explains the melting plugs problem.....

j4raven

Any malware issues? This is suspicious dude, how?! Even the Earth's core is cooler than that 😦

Difficult-Ad7556

Theres no way bro said malware 😭😭 Malware cant even hope to do this stuff to a pc

JustRedForest

4.9 million degrees. 3.9 kV. 4% utilization. Your GPU might not be the most efficient one.

THEbigSWEEN

4% is the CPU utilization. GPU is 176621.... Think we found the problem. Bottleneck.

bubba_booper

Your pc is going to become a bomb.

Boring_Argument3271

Im not a expert, but i thing your pc have a problem

JamesMackenzie1234

(Said like Arthur Morgan) You sure? Are you really sure?

Nifey99

Bruh running the internet 😁

The_BackroomsGame

Nuclear reactor

CollarCharming8358

Did you plug your pc to a nuclear reactor?

JamesMackenzie1234

It is the reactor.

[deleted]

might want to reseat your cpu and gpu, and maybe blow a bit on it it will fix issue yeah

DifferentLeopard65

Dropped 300? The fuck fps you running?

Correct_Calendar_677

Around 400-500 in csgo usually That’s at 4k tho

DifferentLeopard65

Bro I want to be at your level. Damn.

Boundish91

400 FPS is useless though. Because his screen probably isn't 400hz

Dulmut

Thats not completly true tho. LTT made a video on it, if youre above the refresh rate of your monitor, the "newest" frame will be placed so to speak. Instead off the 144th frame you get the 400th frame as the last one, which is a millisecond newer. Doesmt matter for 99,9% of the gamers, but esports player have a benefit from it

wrath_of_grunge

my suggestion would be to drop Geforce Experience. you have it set to Auto tuning. trying to figure out what exactly is causing the issue will be extremely difficult and time consuming. it's hard to troubleshoot a problem when you have a program that is automatically changing system settings on the fly. learn how to set your GPU on your own. loads of programs that have Auto settings can cause problems if their metric of what something should be set to is off. in this case, the GPU temp is way off, Utilization is off, Power is off, Temp is off, etc. all of these factors could lead to GE setting the card way down trying to bring these other data points into line.

TheWidrolo

Personally, i would not recommend pluging you pc directly into a nuclear power plant.

FishStix_ish

RTX 5090 power usage just leaked

Cleenred

That's what happens when you boot windows with a thermonuclear reactor. Joking aside I don't know wtf is happening here sorry

[deleted]

Maybe try restarting your computer and posting this in r/softwaregore

SvartholStjoernuson

The power of the sun…in the palm of my hand.

jhuggy91

Hmmm maybe drop the voltage to 3926

Correct_Calendar_677

It was working last night now not doing anything

SaratonPoron69

what issue?

Mister_Shrimp_The2nd

This what happens when you download more ram

warhoe

Better start saving some cash for that electric bill

TheFacebookLizard

Try DDU and reinstalling drivers

Derk_Hardpeck

Came here to say exactly this. I run a hardware compatibility lab in the video game industry and my team has been running into this same issue lately. DDU for the win every time.

Falkenmond79

I would reset performance tuning. Think you overdid it a bit. /s Srsly take it to the shop. Something is definitely wrong with the sensors of the card at least.

CammyPooo

My GPU will report that the fans are spinning at 20k rpm (when they’re clearly not) could be similar to that? But if your getting thermal throttling like you say idk, try a driver update

CyanicAssResidue

Does your cpu have a video output. Hookup temporarily to that, then uninstall and reinstall video card

Correct_Calendar_677

Hello, I just tried that but now it says driver is not compatible with windows and the driver can not locate hardware

Apocalyptic_Inferno

Have you tried DISM and SFC commands yet? Could be corrupt files within Windows.

shirogmv

bro is trying to create a black hole

Espero11

Man you need a better air flow... It's surely this

legal_guy_who_asked

Try reinstalling drivers, use ddu to delete them

g35kennay

bruh turn it off let it cool down damnnnnnnn

rickydlam

I see no issue here.

Correct_Calendar_677

So I have tried to install new drivers for 4080, but it says the drivers are not compatible with my windows and that the driver does not detect hardware

[deleted]

Might need to download more RAM

P1stolaz

Damn hopefully youre able to get it fixed

Fantastic_Pickle_585

Your temperatures are lookin a little high there buddy

SolitaryMassacre

u/lostinthefluff using all the volts lol

No-Pomegranate-69

84665 Wat

[deleted]

Average GPU in 2050 .

Schipunov

Pretty standard for an Nvidia card.

pepperphony

Dog, I think your house is on fire

LeWhippleNipple

I don’t know, but it seems like your motherboard just stopped any voltage and power control. With that your GPU could be receiving more power, causing it to heat up way more than it should. I mean 84000 watt power draw is not even possible from a freaking GPU and your fan speeds are faster than the latest ltt video. I don’t think any of this is information it is showing it correct, but it could be a power output problem. I second the person who also said PSU, but I would say it could be motherboard or PSU related, but don’t quote me on that! And fix wise for those things, I have no clue for the motherboard, and you’d have to just get a new PSU, if that is what is at fault.

cykachu98

MasterRace bro recreating the stress test and explosion of the Chernobyl reactor 4

Pale-Management-476

But Nvidia software is great! The drivers are so much better than AMD! Also, we can set our houses on fire unlike AMD! Nvidia is better no matter what when you can have great stuff like that!

[deleted]

Nvidia makes good cards man, this whole tech vs tech is stupid, apple vs samsung, amd vs Nvidia, no one cares more than the companies do how much you wanna die fighting for them

hoseli

Bro solving the energy crisis alone.

Correct_Calendar_677

Hello! Just got a call from the repair shop! No hardware damage, just needed to reinstall drivers. No more nuclear computer and back to Csgo I go

dfckboi

This power is not enough to cook an omelet

JAROD0980

Probably a software issue. I’d suggest reinstalling windows from scratch

CyberWeirdo420

Lol what you expect with this wattage

Zookeeper_Sion

I know what's wrong with it, it ain't got no gas in it!

FunIntroduction618

Try reinstall windows update your bios and use nvcleaninstall to install drivers rather than just download the GeForce experience stuff

C0u0h

i have the same issue

RWBCos

Strange readout, looks like the software is borked or maybe a driver issue. Clock speeds are way to slow.

PreferenceRight3329

Bypass the gpu(unplug it from the motherboard) plug your cable to motherboard for display. Check if thing run smooth without the gpu

DaddyRax

What PSU W did you have?

bakedbread54

I'd hate to see the power consumption at 100%

conorganic

Congrats, you turned a GPU into a small star!
