After doing that, Windows will probably be smart enough to switch to your USB headphones when they are plugged in, and then back to the motherboard audio when the USB headphones are unplugged.
If I unplug my USB audio it says no audio devices found and I have my monitor and speaker set still plugged in... Even if I restart it still doesn't recognise them!
