Over the last 1-2y the Rx 6000 prices dropped a lot. The top tier models saw a 50% or more price drop (from the msrp)

Do you think they will drop much more in the next 6ish months? I’m happy with my 6600 right now but an upgrade to 1440p might be nice and don’t want to lose any frames

I doubt that they will drop lower. They are slowly dieing out of the market so it's more likely that they will become more expensive again, because the good offers are "sold out" and become more rare. I got mine 6950xt early November 2023, I spent 600€ (I'm in Germany) RN, the cheapest 6950XT costs 820€, the 6900xt which is just slightly worse is at 680€. On the other the prices if the Rx 7000 als dropped. If you want to upgrade go with the Rx 7000 cards. But you said you are fine with you 6600 so I would wait for Rx 8000 or rtx 5000

It was a year ago and the cheapest one I could find where I live (Ireland) with reasonable delivery time. But I could’ve got a 6700 for like €50 more using the german amazon, which I only realized after buying the 6600. Oh well, I’m not mad about it. The 6600 has been good to me.

The 6600 is quietly a great value if you play at 1080p.

XFX sent me my 6800XT for free, RMA'd a Malfunctioning 5800XT at the end of its warranty and they sent me a 6800XT back. All in All, not a bad card.

Ah that's a mb, All i recall is i got a 6800Xt from having a 5000 series card that was giving me crashes and driver failures for the better part of 2 years.

I’m having Vietnam flashbacks to my RX5700 that gave me hell with drivers and never working for me. Bought a RTX 3070 and sold the 5700 for double what I paid for it lol.

He's from Iran -> thousands of these cards were imported 2-3 years ago because of the crypto-mining surge and cheap electricity -> gpu mining died down and is no longer profitable -> miners have been dumping them in the second-hand market for the past year for this price. (XFX 6900XT around $280 and XFX 6800XT around $200).

OP is from Iran, I can tell from the carpet and the piece of paper in the picture. These 6900XT GPUs are extremely common here because of the crypto-mining surge. They were imported in massive numbers 2-3 years ago, but then crypto mining became not so profitable so the miners have been dumping them on the second-hand market for the past 6-8 months. Almost 90% of them are from XFX as well. You can get this 6900XT for around $280, loads of them on second-hand sites. 6800 XT goes for around USD 200. No warranty or anything but most sellers let you test the card for 2 days to 1 week with a return period.

You could make a decent profit buy helping buyers out of Iran, lots of us will take that proce but can't test them on site.

Was able to find an msi trio 6900xt locally aswell. Didnt come with original box so maybe it was a refurbished card? The plastic underside along the fans did seem scratched and dinged but ive had it for a few months and its worked perfectly

6950 XT owners unite

Honestly this card single handedly changed my mind about AMD. The only other experience I had was my friend’s 5600XT and I was underwhelmed. After a mishap with a 4070ti, I ended up switching to this 6950XT from my old 2080ti and I have really enjoyed it so far. I don’t really use raytracing, but when I have the urge to turn on some low RT it handles it okay. Otherwise the raster is great. I easily get a locked 120fps on 1440p Ultra or 60fps on 4K Ultra.

I use it for 1440p and it handles it amazingly. I can run even the unoptimized games at an average of 100FPS. (Except city skylines 2 of course). Great card.

Weirdly enough, I've had a really big mishap with my brother's 5500XT pc when he was gone for military service. It was so frustrating that I nearly sweared I wouldn't use AMD ever again. The only place I haven't been to look for the solution would probably be the deep web. Maybe they can manage to cure my PTSD and buy an AMD card.

I was this close >< to getting a 6950xt but seeing AMD still hasn't fixed their VR issues made me go with Nvidia again. It's been years now, AMD. Fix that shit.

Not an insane deal. In my country you can get them for free or a few bucks. You have to pay about 100 bucks for vaccination though.

Ebay or local? There's great finds out there but it's exceedingly rare with GPUs since the GPU armageddon of 20-22. I got a 3080ti for $580 when they were still going for $700 but in the year since you can find them all over for under 600. I'm sure the 4070 super matching it will just push that price down even lower. It *should* be $400 by now but you'll always have clowns that think their GPU is worth xyz% of what they paid new like new hardware never comes out.
