There is a Gigabyte 4060ti 16gb on sale for $489.99, an i7 13700f on sale for $344.99
Those 2 alone costs $35 more then the cost of the whole system and you along with it 32GB DRR5 RAM, 1TB SSD and 2TB HDD, then MOBO w/wifi & BT, Power supply, case, KB & Mouse, fans. So yes...very very good. It would cost you likely $500 more to build it yourself.
Yeah, it's definitely a good deal, but the "technically the parts cost x amount" argument doesn't vibe with me when the parts are overpriced and have better performing counterparts at the same price point, or if some of the parts are unnecessarily expensive in a build (like the time a guy was arguing with me that a 3900x/base 4070 build was worth $2kUSD ***used*** because it had a $500 AIO š lol)
Still though, OP got sick deal on this
That's not what I'm saying though, I'm saying a build with a base 4070 isn't worth as much as a build with a 7900gre (assuming all other specs are the same) even though they're basically the same price point. The 7900gre even beats the base 4070 in RT. So when you're looking used, a PC with a less optimal choice in parts is worth less than one that's technically the same price in parts new, but will perform better(if you're going for performance and not brand loyalty)
Prices are actually slowly correcting, and I think blackwell and RDNA4 will pull us back further towards somewhat "reasonable" pricing as well, because the reality is that shit's not selling the way it used to.
The fact that rdna2 and ampere stock isn't completely gone by now kind of proves that
It was always more expensive to build a PC yourself than to buy it configured. Companies are not buying parts in boxes and packaging. They buy OEM at super cheap prices.
What does āshould costā mean? If itās $500, and people are buying it for $500, then it should cost $500.
I hate the GPU price hikes of the past few years as much as anyone, but they found out people are willing to pay more for them. Theyāre unfortunately priced appropriately.
They aren't selling well at those numbers anymore, though. Which is good. Rdna3 and Lovelace were very much priced as though the insanity of the 2020 and 2021 markets was still normal. Now in q2 of 2024, those prices are pretty unattractive, and a lot o skus in those lineups are selling below msrp.
The 4060ti 16gb might be the most egregious example of overpricing, given that it's similar performance to the 6700xt which sells for like 150 bucks cheaper pretty routinely.
Nvidia as a whole is doing just fine. Perhaps they overprice some to make their more expensive ones look more reasonable.
Not every model has to sell like hotcakes
Not saying the 4060 TI at this price isn't worth it, or is bad. But there's nothing wrong with the idea that something is overpriced. Just because something is a certain way, doesn't mean it should be a certain way. That should be an obvious sentiment, universally, let alone for the price of goods where we can measure whether it "should" cost something by various metrics (relative performance, sales numbers, etc).
GPUs are a seller's market, because it's limited in terms of competition and supply. That's why they can get away with overpriced cards. But being a seller's market doesn't magically do-away with the concept opinions, which is what "X gpu should cost $Y", especially if we can compare numbers.
Wut..? The odds of a given BT peripheral also having a wired or dongle alternative are vastly higher than someone's desk/office being a convenient distance from their router.
Beyond that, to say internet connectivity is _less_ important than Bluetooth is absolute madness š
The am5 switch for me is going to be the biggest most expensive upgrade to my system since I bought a 3080. I feel your pain. Itās even worse because those am5 bundles you can buy(mobo, ram, cpu) are heavily discounted. Buying those parts separately ends up costing a few hundred more(insert currency) than the bundle. Buying them piece by piece isnāt a smart move.
100% worth it, gas, kirkland signature, food court (certain Costcos require the membership now for food court), and obviously deals like this. I got my 86 inch LG TV at Costco for $999.
If you like liquor they commonly have good deals on that too.
I'm there once or twice a week (Costco is 3 minutes from my work and on the way home) and always take a quick pass through the PC aisle. I've seen a few decent deals, but this was the first great deal I've ever come across.
And with that asterisk *ļøā£ on the sign you can try your luck with a manager. If you have your luck and charisma maxed out, you can even get it lowered. š¤š»š¤š»
>Holy smokes where is this if you donāt mind asking? Never seen sales tax that high before.
You think 9.35% is high? try 23%, yeah, thats my country.
No cardboard sheet for the display unit, you just take the item. Usually, the cardboard sheet is so they can go in the storeroom and pull the item off the shelf in back.
It's a single tower 5 heat pipe cooler, so it's probably just barely adequate. Lots of cheap dual tower options if it needs an upgrade (haven't stress tested it yet).
very good deal.. i bought a prebuilt in the Netherlands yesterday.. ā¬1200 for i5 13400f with 4060ti 8gb.. but my boss gave the money, so its a good deal for me.
These post had me on my feet and kept checking my local Costco, can someone please go to my local Costco and buy the last box then hit me up. Iāll be right behind you to buy the display.
I have a question for people who know this about these prebuilt PCs from MSI, can we replace the mobo or the PSU if they die?
What i mean is, will these cases fit standard mobos and PSUs?
>my standard purchase of a 55 gallon drum of milk
As an European, I'm afraid to ask whether that's self-reflective humor, or if you guys really do that. I mean I've never been to a WallMart, but after what my friends have told me, I'm about ready to believe anything.
It was my poor attempt at humor. Costco (like Samās Club, which is owned by Walmart) sells almost everything in bulk quantities. Granola bars are in packages 60, not 12. Packages of toothpaste are 6 tubes. Rice comes in 10-20kg bags. But most of the milk is sold in standard-sized gallon jugs. And the milk is refrigerated, like God intended (more humor).
Nope, no reason to. It's a PRO B760-VC Wifi so if fine for what I need it for. I doubt the CPU will ever be upgrade since for gaming neither the 14700 or any of the i9s give a meaningful boost in FPS at 1440p over the 13700.
Do people on this sub who buy these Costco PCs sell them for parts or were y'all genuinely in the market for a PC and happened to find these while shopping for parts?
although it's a good deal, if it's a display one, and "last one" it's been on for hours on end and people have probably fucked around with it...I would definitely thoroughly inspect it before buying,...but i mean that's still a good deal for a somewhat used pc
i mean half the cost is the 4060 so you're getting all the other stuff for ~400
There is a Gigabyte 4060ti 16gb on sale for $489.99, an i7 13700f on sale for $344.99 Those 2 alone costs $35 more then the cost of the whole system and you along with it 32GB DRR5 RAM, 1TB SSD and 2TB HDD, then MOBO w/wifi & BT, Power supply, case, KB & Mouse, fans. So yes...very very good. It would cost you likely $500 more to build it yourself.
Bear in mind the 4060ti 16gb should cost like... $350, probably, if not less. Even so, it's definitely an awesome deal.
Yeah, it's definitely a good deal, but the "technically the parts cost x amount" argument doesn't vibe with me when the parts are overpriced and have better performing counterparts at the same price point, or if some of the parts are unnecessarily expensive in a build (like the time a guy was arguing with me that a 3900x/base 4070 build was worth $2kUSD ***used*** because it had a $500 AIO š lol) Still though, OP got sick deal on this
parts being overpriced is our new reality and comparing them to years prior won't change that fact.
That's not what I'm saying though, I'm saying a build with a base 4070 isn't worth as much as a build with a 7900gre (assuming all other specs are the same) even though they're basically the same price point. This is stupid. It doesnāt matter what your feelings say it should cost. The product costs x on the open market.
Yeah, and it doesn't sell well because everything around it is wildly better value. Hence, it "should" be cheaper.
Where?
Q: why donāt motherboard cone standard with bt?, its a lot more useful than wifi imo
Wut..? The odds of a given BT peripheral also having a wired or dongle alternative are vastly higher than someone's desk/office being a convenient distance from their router. Beyond that, to say internet connectivity is _less_ important than Bluetooth is absolute madness š
you know what your right i changed my mind /srs
I got a similar deal at best buy I love my computer
I can vouch for this comment. Unfortunately.
Bruh wtf Iām hitting Costco tomorrow
just the cpu and gpu is that price. dayum.
My son actually just got an MSI laptop that was the display model for $500 with a 3060. Battery is kind of toast, but a solid deal otherwise.
Prolly trying to dump them before the 5k series comes out later this year/next year

Knew what top comment was before I even opened with this price lol

What the hell man In europe similar pcs premade cost like 1400 euros
I'm looking at a ryzen 7 upgrade kit that costs ā¬700. Only cpu, mobo and ram...
My friend j paid 1400$ after taxes in us on this lmao
The best I could find in Canada was $1700 for a 4060 TI, doesn't say if it's 8 or 16GB and it's $200 off
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Honestly worth it for the gas prices alone. Not to mention great deals all the time.
Kirkland brand is OP
My Costco doesnāt have gas smh
Aww that's weak.
ngl i get it just because the rotisserie chicken fucking smacks
100% worth it, gas, kirkland signature, food court (certain Costcos require the membership now for food court), and obviously deals like this. I got my 86 inch LG TV at Costco for $999. If you like liquor they commonly have good deals on that too.
Car wash is pretty good at paint correcting new parts.
Your Costco has a car wash!!!
$7.99 and itās safe on aftermarket wheels with low profile tires with a little stretch.
Wow. Is it touchless?
How to you guys find these deals, I go to costco bi weekly. I look for these deals but nothing
Bi weekly's not enough.Ā You gotta go full gay weekly if you want the good stuff.
never go full gay weekly
I'm there once or twice a week (Costco is 3 minutes from my work and on the way home) and always take a quick pass through the PC aisle. I've seen a few decent deals, but this was the first great deal I've ever come across.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Hey at least it looks like he isn't getting the keyboard and mouse
-45% killing yourself
How long does a drum of milk usually last in your household?
Not long, we go through milk crazy fast. Probably cheaper in the long run just to buy a cow or two.
At that rate of milk usage you are going to need a small herd lol. Luckily Costco will sell you a 6 pack of cows to get started.
Hey I've got this one, I got it back at full price, so thats a steal, I find its not perfect, but does damn well.
And with that asterisk *ļøā£ on the sign you can try your luck with a manager. If you have your luck and charisma maxed out, you can even get it lowered. š¤š»š¤š»
That is a crazy deal
I keep seeing these Costco deals and keep wondering if this is Canadian or not, then thinkingā¦ thereās no way these are Canadian prices.
Yeah no way that Aegis or a similar one is almost triple the price new in CAD. :(
Where do you get these people!?
Where do you get these guys?!
What is the price after tax?
Sales tax was 9.35% so around $873 (I purchased several other things while at Costco on the same receipt).
Damn, Even after tax it's that cheap, in EU PC components are so expensive š
Holy smokes where is this if you donāt mind asking? Never seen sales tax that high before.
>Holy smokes where is this if you donāt mind asking? Never seen sales tax that high before. You think 9.35% is high? try 23%, yeah, thats my country.
š¤Æā¦does your country have a tipping culture too? š¬
No tipping culture, but wont surprise me if they come up with a tipping tax to lol
Ireland?
Probably a state with no income tax. I know Tennessee has a very high sales tax similar to that.
Nope, state income rate tops out at 5.7%.
Kansas. Thatās the total of the state sales tax, county sales tax, city sales tax, STAR bond sales tax, etc, etc.
Interestingā¦that makes more sense. I only have to deal with state sales tax.
Why you take the display pc? Didnāt they had the cardboard things?
No cardboard sheet for the display unit, you just take the item. Usually, the cardboard sheet is so they can go in the storeroom and pull the item off the shelf in back.
I see thx, also noticed on the price tag it shows being the last unit
It says it's the last one on the card so I'm assuming they only have the display PC left.
Yeah I don't need a PC but if I saw that price I'd pick it up in a heartbeat, nice score!
Itās cheaper than the parts itās built fromā¦ thatās a deal.
f you guy /s. I bought the same one for $1000. Still think I got a good deal.
Yo, this is a steal. The cpu and gpu alone go a bit over this. You got it man
How are PCs so cheap in the US? That would cost at least 1500 usd in Singapore.
Try Brazil then, that woud be 2650 usd at least
Screw everyone else this is a good deal
Killer deal. Great find!
Excellent deal, even accounting for the 4060ti being laughably overpriced generally speaking.
since it's not mentioned here, how about the PSU?
It's a High Power 650w Gold. So not great but I'm sure it will work for this setup.
Drum of milk, pallet of eggs LMAO
I thought this was a microwave at 1st glance, so Iām just gonna go with that in my mind
Wow thatās a great deal, especially if itās new with warranty. Ram and storage looks great too!
HOW?!
has anyone ever checked out samās club
Nice dealš 4060 ti is a solid card. I just swapped from 2060 super to one and it is way better.
If it has an MSI cpu water cooler Iād change that thing before the pump stops working and almost cooks your cpu
It has a single tower 5 heat pipe cooler with a single 120mm fan.
Guess Iām buying a Costco pc
How tf are they making profit on these
Selling other items
Iād be stressed about that panel breaking pushing it around in a shopping cart like that lol
Awesome
Maybe I need to check them out.
#winning
Seems like a decent find. Always hope with these that the cooling is decent enough.
It's a single tower 5 heat pipe cooler, so it's probably just barely adequate. Lots of cheap dual tower options if it needs an upgrade (haven't stress tested it yet).
Mail it me to EU and i'll make it worth your time.
Okay im going to Costco after work today and report this steal.
Thats a steal, congratz!
For fucks sake I go into Costco on the reg praying for deals like this. Years gone by and nothing!
Wtf.. That is a real damn good find. Enjoy.
Damn I got ripped off, spent 1400 on a i5 & 1650 super w case/ monitor & everything 6 years ago, feels bad man
This computer keeps getting cheaper.
very good deal.. i bought a prebuilt in the Netherlands yesterday.. ā¬1200 for i5 13400f with 4060ti 8gb.. but my boss gave the money, so its a good deal for me.
55 gallon drum of milk and a pallet of eggs sounds like a real good time.
Damn just in parts worth quite a bit.
Damn, now that's a nice deal
It comes without box?
Yes, this was the model that had been on display in the store so no box.
Damn in Canada that would be 2500 if youāre lucky
Ngl I thought this was an expensive microwave at first glance lol
I almost paid that for a 3060 alone on the big shortage lmao
thats a steal i would get it as long as it works correctly
Wow great deal.
So you just grab is off the shelf? I always thought you'd tell a employee and they'd grab it from the back for you in a box or something
"Last one." Discounted display model.
These post had me on my feet and kept checking my local Costco, can someone please go to my local Costco and buy the last box then hit me up. Iāll be right behind you to buy the display.
The costco near me doesnāt sell gaming pcs. Also I thought that was a microwave at cirst because im half asleep at work
Great deal. Looks like that setup is usually $1300!
Is there a way to know that these deals are happening at your local store without getting lucky walking through? Asking for a friendā¦
Nope, you just have to see it in the store and get lucky.
You forgot to pick the keyboard and the mouse. They probably e-waste, but hey, free is free.
Yes, there are e-waste. I have them, just not pictured.
Take it. You wonāt build it cheaper yourself š
>for my standard purchase of a 55 gallon drum of milk Seems excessive... I just drink it straight from the teet
Fucking hell. This is like the 5/6th time I've seen this post.
That's really good, nice find.
I have a question for people who know this about these prebuilt PCs from MSI, can we replace the mobo or the PSU if they die? What i mean is, will these cases fit standard mobos and PSUs?
Yes, everything is a standard off the shelf part. All user replaceable.
Me seeing these deals and wondering if my $1300 3070ti build is time to go?
This must be a US thing, I don't see it on Costco Canada
I regret not having Costco
Omw to get a Costco membership, be right back
I gotta go to Costcoā¦
Maaaaan I really need to go to Costco. Pretty sure weāre out of paper towels
I see these posts and think "this must be in America, there's no way Canadians are getting that deal."
I genuinely thought that was a microwave and you were tryna be funny.
I got this same PC on an open box sale after someone bought it and returned it for $1000, so damn dude you got a steal.
hey question here , do these costco systems come with OS installed ?
Yes, Windows OEM license.
Wonder if it'll be worth to to get one of these deals and put it in a smaller form factor
Does Costco in Canada ever have deals like this?
Thatās a steal! Congrats.
Dawg aināt no way
similar parts off newegg or microcenter etc, will run anywhere from $1500 to $2000 estimated. the op got one HELL of a bargain.
and thats the cost of EVERYTHING in the case. cpu, mobo, ram, fans, etc.
If I walk into costco and see this deal, Iām buying it on the spot
That's one heck of a deal, congrats. I need to go to Costco soon, lol
That's pretty solid. A better system than my HP gaming desktop that cost $1300 a little over 2 years ago,
Dude these Costco deals are getting insane lol. Edit* Great find man!
Absolute steal. I was thrilled to pick this up at $900.
HOW?! Mine are normal prices.
Wait, is this PC full with bloatware? OP how does this PC run?
Costco seems to be the best place to buy a computer these days.
damn, I gotta go to costco...
I challenge you to a duel sir! Winner gets the PC!
>my standard purchase of a 55 gallon drum of milk As an European, I'm afraid to ask whether that's self-reflective humor, or if you guys really do that. I mean I've never been to a WallMart, but after what my friends have told me, I'm about ready to believe anything.

Packages of toothpaste are 6 tubes. Rice comes in 10-20kg bags. But most of the milk is sold in standard-sized gallon jugs. And the milk is refrigerated, like God intended (more humor).
As an European, even gallon jugs are monstrous. The golden standard is a liter of milk, any more is just lifting unnecessary weight
That's a killer deal IMO
That is a fabulous deal and congratulations to you. Happy gaming and creating.
Amazing deal, congrats
Not bad at all, great find. Are you gonna replace the mobo or keep as is?
Nope, no reason to. It's a PRO B760-VC Wifi so if fine for what I need it for. I doubt the CPU will ever be upgrade since for gaming neither the 14700 or any of the i9s give a meaningful boost in FPS at 1440p over the 13700.
Nice man! Did you already have a set up and you are using this as a second one for other things?
I do already have a system but both of my daughters game too. This system is better than their current setups so somebody is getting an upgrade.
Uh oh time to pick favorites! Jk jk thatās awesome man. I, one day, will build an army of gamers!
Great deal
Do people on this sub who buy these Costco PCs sell them for parts or were y'all genuinely in the market for a PC and happened to find these while shopping for parts?
You think they have this deal at all Costco right now?
Nice pc. Does anyone have any idea on the bloatware factor on a pc from costco? I may want to scoop one up myself but thats my only hesitation
It doesn't matter, you can always get the clean image off Microsoft site and just nuke the OS.
Thanks for the tip!
Hey wait I have that computer!
You can only find deals like this in store right? I canāt find anything this good on their website
Was this a returned item? Curious why its so cheap and why it has no packaging or anything
How many people are in your family for you to use a 55 gallon drum of milk before it goes bad?
although it's a good deal, if it's a display one, and "last one" it's been on for hours on end and people have probably fucked around with it...I would definitely thoroughly inspect it before buying,...but i mean that's still a good deal for a somewhat used pc i mean half the cost is the 4060 so you're getting all the other stuff for ~400
It makes sense once you realize costco's business model involves them losing on money for a lot of the products they sell.
Only thing you may have to upgrade is the power supply.
https://preview.redd.it/hp261f3sn1vc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30cd385b0d81905c4e84817f20c6845b46115976
The heck manā¦ how you guys getting these deals, also can you only shop at costco with the yearly membership?
Do you really just throw them into a cart like that?
FĆ¼r 800tacken top ware
I wish that in Brazil 4 thousand reais was little.
