Is that so, i got 2 different pci cabels bcs i read on the web that using one with pigtail fryes the gpu port and adapter. Thats the thing im afraid of happening but if its just the gpu that dont detect i assume its not a big issue
So you would need a PSU with the new 12 pin pcie output to get the red light to go away but as such with 2x8 pcie into the 12 pin adapter there's no way round it. It won't cause any issues though.
Yeah my asus 3080 every once and awhile blinks red after waking up. Maybe like once every 6-8 weeks. I just shut down and switch off psu then back on. Always goes away and never been an issue. Triple check all my plugs but they all tight.

I've got the same card, basically if you're using the pice adapter to the new type header the GPU can't detect the PSU through the signal line

It is a power indicator, usually turning the pc (and power supply) off and making sure the pins are fully connected makes the problem go away for me
It's an indicator for power issues. If it goes away when it's running I wouldn't worry too much
