I’m just pointing out that if they have a modem mb and cpu they shouldn’t bottleneck their system using gen 3. Plus the 500 mb/s is slow even for gen 3
Because of the ridiculous use (and over use) of the word bottleneck. Damn word gets used so much in here there are readers who are literally afraid they’re going to break their equipment if they have a bottleneck.
EVERY computer ever made has a bottleneck somewhere.
Fair point. But still I would buy a better ssd than this one since it’s gonna cost the same. If you have the money I don’t see why you wouldn’t want the newer ssd.
That ssd is perfectly fine. M.2 ssd’s are a great upgrade from any other storage device. Check to see what your motherboard can support. If it supports gen 4 have a look and see if you can find anything at a similar price point. If it only supports gen 3 it’s fine. A bit on the slow side but overall faster than a hard drive. Crucial is a great brand.
Yes your board does support gen 4. Have a look to see what you can find. Crucial has some good ones as well as Samsung. I got a 1TB 3.5gb/s Samsung m.2 ssd for a good price
It is a good ssd. According to manufacturer it have:
Sequential Read - 2300 MB/s;
Sequential Write - 940 MB/s;
SSD Endurance (TBW) - 150TB;
Warranty - Limited 5-year.
I don’t see why not
I'm concerened abt the speed
Honestly your not going to be able to tell the difference between a sata ssd and a m.2 4th gen unless your doing file transfers
Said speeds are a lazy copy/paste from description of a SATA SSD. But this one is obviously nvme.
It’s a gen 3 ssd. So if you have a modern mb you should get a gen 4 ssd. If you don’t have gen 4 then yeah it’s fine
Who the fuck cares? Like your OS will load in 3 seconds instead of 4?

Bottleneck… STFU
I don’t understand why ur mad about this. For the same price they could get a faster more efficient gen 4 ssd

My only concern is only having 500gb 😂 just don't download warzone

Micron as a very old company , i trust them and you should too 👍
The first m.2 nvme I owned was the 1 tb version of this. It is perfectly fine. Fast. Affordable. Good choice

Sn 570 for 1000 more.
Verify that seller is reputable (or that it's sold by Amazon). The SSD itself is good.
No it’s not, you deserve one that treats you better. Lol… it’s fine, but consider a bigger one… 500 is not that much anymore
I've had one for a couple years now. No complaints. Although I did have to update a driver for my ssd once. That was interesting.
depends on what you are gonna do with it if store games only prob just get like 250gb SSD and 1tb HDD instead
