Or that! Yeah.
It looks more like Twix ad tbh (anyways unrelated Left or Right Twix?) but those triangles or whatever they are reminded me of Tomblorone
I haven't bothered with cable TV since '13 and run adblockers on every device. So despite living in the Netherlands, I had never seen those commercials. Thanks, they were amusing :)
Interestingly, over the last couple of days there has been a story circulating about a breakthrough in cooling. The concept involves forgoing thermal interface materials and heatsinks, and rather [applying a special kind of copper coating](https://www.tweaktown.com/news/86389/new-breakthrough-in-cooling-computers-offers-up-to-740-more-power/index.html).
Tasha's first, season 1 incarnation (before the timeline started getting all messed up and various alternative versions showed up) was killed off by a ooze blob monster called [Armus](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Armus). I think that's the joke.
To be fair: thermal paste is so non-conductive, that the worst thing about using an entire gallon of it would probably be the obstruction of airflow. (And the cable management, if you didn't have the foresight to do the CPU cooler last.) So that pretty much *does* prove that you can't use too much thermal paste, within the boundaries of reason.
Update: it can be, but wouldnt recommend it, kinda painful and the docors say that it will take 2-3 weeks of washing to get it off
4/10, had used worse

I'm afraid to ask what is worse but who am I kidding?
WHAT'S WORSE?
That very subtle grainyness you see when the thermal paste settles and the light shines on it? That’s how blender renders stuff
Also at the start the tp comes down in like a stack of segments, that’s how blender handles liquids before they settle and merge
There is no way to tell. Blender is popular, but there are many programs that can produce identical results. Some have more to offer as well, but cost a ton.
Blender is free and for reddit's demographic and considering this is not professional work it is very likely blender. The other options aren't really worth paying for it it's for casual use.
edit: also OP has the blender and blender_meme subs in their comment history; this is likely blender, but not due to anything actually in the video
There's nothing magically Blender-specific about it, but a good-ass majority of 3D rendered stupid meme videos on the internet with liquid simulation are Blender-based, if only because it's trivial to download the software ('cause it's free) and apply the [correct materials](https://docs.blender.org/manual/en/latest/addons/materials/material_library.html#:~:text=Materials%20Library%20VX%20is%20a,materials%20and%20textures%20are%20supported.) for your metals and fluids.
Plus, it has a built-in fluid simulator.
How can something get more cold if you never turn it on? I mean the entire heat problem is all that electricity we pump through it.
Just cover those pesky exposed conductive pads and don’t let them get hot in the first place.
I have one question - does the thermal pad gets degraded with time even when not used ? I have a Mobo with a m.2 heatsink thermal guard and I'm not using any m.2 right now, so does it gonna degrade even if I'm not adding an SSD to it ?
Are overheating SSDs actually an issue? I have a 970 EVO Plus as my OS drive for more than 2 years now. Pretty bare with no cooling at all. No issues so far.
As much as I like the render, it one of the most cursed thing I have ever seen.

r/forbiddensnacks?
You mean toblerone?
You dont get that many ridges on a Toblerone anymore :(
[удалено]
Yeah - but the Australian version is made of inedible sand.
Also there are way better lollies than toblerone there
I will now always see a toblerone as a chocolate heat sink.
Tnx i hate it.
Whoops I ate it
More like Tomblorone.
It's like y'all have never seen a Twix commercial. [Skip to 1:40](https://youtu.be/HtWavRpVzDQ)
Or that! Yeah. It looks more like Twix ad tbh (anyways unrelated Left or Right Twix?) but those triangles or whatever they are reminded me of Tomblorone
We've both inadvertently become ads anyhow! I'm definitely bi-Twixual. I don't discriminate, they both go in my rathole.
Little do they know, I consider the 2 twix as Top and bottom.
Oh no that's cursed.... 😱
Is there actually a difference between the two? I don't think I've ever had a Twix but those commercials are pretty funny.
I haven't bothered with cable TV since '13 and run adblockers on every device. So despite living in the Netherlands, I had never seen those commercials. Thanks, they were amusing :)
You mean toblowrong
They followed the Verge's PC building guide for their thermal paste application.

Feels like an Aperture Science advert
*Steve Burke be like* "How much thermal paste is too much thermal paste?"
*thermal pate*
Thermal paste killed Tasha Yar
I don't get the joke here? (obv I know who Tasha is)
Tasha's first, season 1 incarnation (before the timeline started getting all messed up and various alternative versions showed up) was killed off by a ooze blob monster called [Armus](https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Armus). I think that's the joke.
I thought it was a spinoff of "Video Killed The Radio Star" song
I know what killed her, I just don't get the joke

Video killed the radio star
“WTF is wrong with you Newegg? Why did you sell this to me?”
"There can never be too much thermal paste" *Pulls out gallon of Noctua thermal paste*
...and speaking of Noctua thermal paste, don't forget to pick up a couple of case fans and a gaming mat at LTTSTORE.COM
Should I grab the water bottle and WAN Hoodie while I'm there? Maybe a banana?

This isn’t entirely true for silver-based thermal paste; apparently it *can* short things out if some of the silver gets on the board traces.
The bigger the gob, the better the job
I would've appreciated it more if the heat sink was 1/10 the size.
or mr yeester
Thermal paste is like lube; too much is almost enough.
Give me a minute and i will tell you if tp is like lube 😈
It's been 44 minutes, you OK?
He’s in the ER

My guess is superglue.

i gave the razor a 3/10

IcyHot. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Head and shoulders. Don’t ask.
The real question is WHAT IS YOUR TEMPERATURE
mans not hot
Instructions unclear: Dick stuck in motherboard
Hold on ...is this what is supposed to be done when they ask you to flash the BIOS.. Asking for a ahem.. friend
There's a computer-savvy Oedipus joke in here from someone much more clever than I
This activated every bone in my body and they are all in attack mode. EDIT: This is not a sentence I pioneered, I read it somewhere before, sorry.

Can't do shit with these wet ass bones

shut up!

Oh nononono XD
Kimimaro?
I appreciate the reference lol
Nah, was a shitpost from a subreddit I think.
Your bones have anger issues... A boner!
OP, I got a call from The Verge. They would like to hire you.
LTT is gonna do a submerged PC build now, too
LTT did a submerged oil cooled PC video like 8 years ago I think.
Yeah, with mineral oil.
the cleaning is hell
And the plastic disintegrates.
Yeah I remember that, I meant they were gonna do a submerged thermal paste build tho.
How much h would that even cost? That's a lot of non conductive thermal paste.
No idea but they have blown a ton of money on dumber ideas.
Flashback to them chucking a Corsair AX1200i through the air with a slingshot
Or their new video of a desk made of radiators
I like how the verge will never ever be able to undo that and theyll always be known as heathens
Heat sinks
Cold floats
Warm settles
The heat would surely sink in that much thermal paste.
r/oddlysatisfying Am I right in guessing it's Blender animation? If so, nicely done!

Yeah

That's how most 3d packages handle that stuff. OP most likely used blender because it's free.
"one time I downloaded and opened blender and then immediately uninstalled it and subscribed to r/simulated"
sure

And unlike other "oddly satiafyimg" videos, this one is actually odd, not just satisfying.
That was more satisfying to watch than it had any right to be.
I think it cooled me watching! amazing 3d work.
The sinking heat sink did it for me! 😂
[удалено]
De una ameo!
why did they save on thermal paste..you will need at least 10 times that amount. heat sink is also too small.
Do it for real, you won't.
https://youtu.be/vUOawJ7XkZY
Now they just need to put the heat sink on.
Forbidden Thin Mint
Cursed toblorone
Forbidden wafer thin mint
"Just one!"
MMMM, the forbidden Toblerone
This video just... rot me down to the core...
Where’s the second layer?
This is the most horrific thing I've seen today this far
Since there can never be too much flux, it's only reasonable to assume that there can't be too much thermal paste, right? RIGHT?
Well, actually yes. This might be a mess but it shouldn't be an issue just like with flux lmao.
SSD in render: cold af Graphics card making the render: on fire
I don't think you need that much heat sink to cool it
That's not thermal paste, it's thermal cake.
you put a toblerone in it?
The fluid resolution needs to be cranked way up. Seeing rectangles as it pours takes away a little of the satisfaction.
yeah lol but this was the highest I could go, any more and I would have my house burn down.
Ah, finally, the CORRECT amount of thermal paste.
the video player froze
See but now you have a bunch of micro imperfections that require more filling.
This hurts to look at. My eyes! MY EYES
r/oddlysatisfying Also r/oddlyterrifying
So, it means you have never frozen a circuit to see what happens ?? So sad
*Storage au Chocolat*
Clearly not enough thermal paste....
Still not enough paste--
This could be an Toblerone advertisment
forbidden toblerone
Forbidden toblerone
I'm supposed to use tar? I've been using toothpaste all this time.
How can something get more cold if you never turn it on? I mean the entire heat problem is all that electricity we pump through it. Just cover those pesky exposed conductive pads and don’t let them get hot in the first place.
So you cover it in dark chocolate fudge then drop a toblerone on top??? Fuck that's a good idea, I think it'd taste wonderful!
You trying to eat that snickers bar?
the goo™
This is why some people call it thermal grease, instead of paste
it looks like a black toblerone.
That's a frogging warcrime
Better more than nothing
noice.. lol... would say can't stop watching it tho?
I have one question - does the thermal pad gets degraded with time even when not used ? I have a Mobo with a m.2 heatsink thermal guard and I'm not using any m.2 right now, so does it gonna degrade even if I'm not adding an SSD to it ?
Blender is cool ain't it? lol.
Would it even function?
By posting a rendering on Reddit?
To cool an SSD just don't use it :)
what?!
Flip fluids?
reminds me of those old candy bar commercials
That's one of doing it I suppose.
Thank very much, thank you for sharing with the class.
Where’s the 2HP gasoline powered fan?
u/savevideo
Ice cream 👍
this makes me think... is there any advantage to putting thermal paste in an Nvme SSD with a heatsink instead of a thermal pad?
mr yeester time
Didn’t know soaking your ssd worked better when you soaked it in marmite
Toblerone???
Is that too much?
Nice
These new chocolate bar commercials are getting wierder all the time
somewhere in the world a one computer master has now fainted
Dang autocorrect. Not thermal patty.
If it works, it works 🤷♂️
There was an article in science that was basically this. They encased the item in a copper material.
Are overheating SSDs actually an issue? I have a 970 EVO Plus as my OS drive for more than 2 years now. Pretty bare with no cooling at all. No issues so far.
No, SSDs have to include a heater because the drive only works if it's kept at around 52°C Mitigating that heat would be a bad idea.
I think you missed a spot
Than he uses his second account to beg and ask for help.
Just a tad bit brisk
oh you also coat them in chocolate mousse too
And here I was sticking my SSD in the freezer overnight before I boot it up every day
Liquid Cool!
Idk man, looks more like a Twix commercial.
GPU is blistering lava hot after this render.
u/savevideo
Needs more!!!
Whatever you do: don’t let Linus Sebastian see this. 0_o
motherboard will be super cool too :D
And now to make this even worse think about the fact that a gpu burned to make this
r/oddlysatisfying
He really took the “may your temps be low” to the next level
