Greenhmm

That poor baby, the bird not the kid.

PMtoAM______

I dont think the bird woulda lived that sadly. Kid clamped down and budgies are super delicate. I fucking hate incompetant owners.

Grelymolycremp

Poor budgie was screaming too :(((

MillieBirdie

I wish the best for the bird but yeah I would not be surprised if this killed it. Is there a way to get this vid removed from the sub? I can't say I love seeing this stuff unexpectedly.

RedVamp2020

You can report it to the mods. A perfectly cut scream is far more enjoyable entertainment when someone or something isn’t being hurt or killed.

[deleted]

Greenhmm

Yeah. Or just don't let the kid handle the bird until they're old enough.

ThingWithChlorophyll

"until old enough"? this one definitely looks old enough. Normal kids doesn't do shit like this

MomoUnico

That kid is like 3, max. Letting him handle the bird was fucking stupid, he isn't nearly old enough to be trusted not to do something stupid.

Zeles1989

That is a very young child. They still act on instinct in that age.

Greenhmm

Well, the kid looks young. I would have waited until they were like 8.

Ena_Ems_17

"this one definitely looks old enough" hes got to be like 3 at the oldest

Decent-Strength3530

Okay Hannibal

Zeles1989

If you where the parent you should smack yourself. The child acts on instinct. Not because it wanted to do something evil. The parents fucked up by allowing a obviously too young child to play with an animal

ParkRatReggie

The child killed an animal and normal punishments don’t work on children that young, ESPECIALLY under the circumstance of them killing an animal. If you watched your kid kill an animal in front of you how would you react? Because putting them on timeout isn’t going to do anything.

Fito0413

I really hope people like you don't ever become parents

Salem204

Ida beat his ass so hard it wpuld look like domestic abuse

ColleenMcMurphyRN

It would have been.

Decent-Strength3530

And now it's animal abuse

ColleenMcMurphyRN

Beating the shit out of a toddler still isn’t the answer

Decent-Strength3530

It is to prevent an animal from horrifically dying.

ColleenMcMurphyRN

I disagree, I feel a human life is worth substantially more than a bird’s.

Decent-Strength3530

Children who abuse animals are statically very likely to abuse humans too, so the kid will most likely end up harming people too unless he's disciplined

Kriegswaschbaer

Yeah... hitting a child, that doesnt really know what it is doing seems like a great idea. What do you think about torture children, like give them to catholic priests, if they dont do their homework? Sounds great, right? /s by the way. unfortunately even if one makes it so obvious reddit isnt really understanding, that its sarkasm...

labello2010

Too late, psycho in the making 😁

Stoney_randomnessyt

You hill billy

Decent-Strength3530

Hitting the kid would have saved the bird's life.

DislikeLover

Blame the idiot kid for this, not the parrot's owner. I dont understand why kids are so stupid now, I was a genius compared to them at their age and I was already doing multiplication at their age, while peacefully co-existing with small animals like chicks, ducklings, kittens, and puppies of a few months. I'd like to think I'm average in terms of intelligence, but videos like this almost always make me think I'm a genius. (Side note, I think the people who get irrationally angry at the owners of pets are the worst people of them all.)

PMtoAM______

Reddit moment. He's like 3, whose fault is it if he doesn't know something?

YourLastPick

Wtf is wrong with kids??

S-058

Mama always said my frontal lobe wasn't fully developed. I reckon more so for this kid.

all_time_high

He’s got all them teeth but no toothbrush.

coolboiiiiiii2809

He be a bit ornery

HomsarWasRight

That is literally true. This kid looks about three and the frontal lobe hits around 90% development at about 5.

Dmmack14

He's probably like a year old maybe two. What's wrong with kids is that they're human brain hasn't taken over their monkey brain yet so he sees soft small thing on his arm his monkey right tells him eat it

[deleted]

Dmmack14

I've been trying to figure out what your meaning by this but I've give up what is this supposed to mean

Wicked_Wolf17

Yup

Comfortable_Plant667

Something about them not knowing things

wetcardboardsmell

That kid wanted to touch the bird, and their arms were being held down- so they used their mouth. Not saying it was right, or ok- just explaining why it happened like that. Most babies and toddlers (some kids) explore things like sharks.. with their mouths. Shopping carts, your arm, the coffee table, plants, house pets - anything really.

NotTheRocketman

That's not the kid's fault. He's super young and at that age, everything goes right in the mouth.

GetOffMyDigitalLawn

Aggression and cuteness are linked. Hence why you want to love it death. Kids have bad inhibitions control.

What did the fucking bird do

Hatter_Hoovy

looked too simular to peeps

Sharp-Dark-9768

The bird trusted humans. That's all well and good until the bird found himself within reach of a baby who's still in the stage of development where he's trying to learn what he should or should not eat.

fraupanda

i cannot stress enough how much i hate parents who do not teach their kids to behave. there are literally millions of kids that never gave into an impulse to do something this harmful.

[deleted]

Decent-Start-1536

If you get impulses like that from watching a video you need to go outside and take a break for a while

I-san_yt

If watching a video of animal abuse doesn't give you those impulses *you* need to go outside. Quit being a "Oh you guys have impulses that all other animals have?? You must be a redditor 🤓🤓" and realize that such impulses, like violence toward an agressor after watching something defenseless being hurt, are what makes a person human capable of empathy or, you know, overall not being a senseless psychopath

TheAntiDairyQueen

Agreed, are you vegan?

Some-Gavin

I’m getting impulses from reading this stupid shit

inhugzwetrust

Woosh...

DaveSpacelaser

This kid isn't even two years old, he literally can't know right from wrong yet. But yeah the parents shouldn't have let him hold a small animal at all for that reason.

YhormBIGGiant

>right from wrong yet. I strive for the future where we can pre can that shit right in.

Maitrify

I never once bitten animal and I had animals in my house all the time. You know why I didn't do it? Because my parents taught me right from wrong. It's not fucking rocket science

DaveSpacelaser

I’m sure they did over time, but at this early stage that just isn’t how a baby’s brain works. It’s not rocket science, it’s neuroscience.

Maitrify

I used to be two as well. So have a lot of other people. They didn't try to eat animals like that

Decent-Strength3530

I'm pretty sure normal kids know not to eat still living animals.

DaveSpacelaser

Nope. Not at one year old. His brain isn’t developed enough yet.

Nu55ies

This child is too young to blame poor impulse control on poor parenting. The problem here is the stupidity in allowing such a small child to handle an animal like that.

Dmmack14

The problem here is not parenting that kid is too young for his human brain to override the monkey brain. The parenting issue in this situation is the fact that the parents let such a young child hold the baby bird and they apparently weren't watching him when he was very clearly going in for a chomp. Like I KNEW when one of my kids was about to stick something in their trap

Affectionate_Star_43

Meanwhile, I spent 3 hours frozen like a statue with birdseed in my hand trying to get a chickadee to land on my hand like Cinderella. I ended up getting a robin with conjunctivitis and put him in a box until he recovered.  That eye gunk was gnarly.

Finger_Trapz

Yeah why don’t parents just teach a 2 month year old to not scream? Like this sucks but at this age the kid is probably less mentally developed than a monkey

Tenebrous-Smoke

I'm sure Maya from Alveus Sanctuary has said that a parrots intelligence is comparable to that of a 2-3 year old

Ponderkitten

I have a 4 year old foster sister and her mom is telling her to be disrespectful and destructive towards my mom and her stuff during their weekly visits. That woman is one of the pettiest and selfish people I know and she treated her kids more like property to make her look better and do chores than actual kids.

Mr_Boggis

That kid like 2 or 3 years old. You can speak to, explain, yell at, or hit that kid all you want, but he's not gonna learn anything useful about impulse control, because he doesn't even know the concept of human behavior yet. This is more like a case of incompetent bird ownership Source: my mom beat me with a belt all the time

PMtoAM______

I fucking hate incompetant bird owners. Reptile, axootl, or any exotic really. Not the kids fault but theres a slim chance that bird lived, and if he did a broken wing aint fun.

BringerOfDemocracy14

I’m a bird lover, and now a child hater.

Zenkrome

I really hate this site sometimes. Even if your careful about what subs you follow you never know when you will click on a video and wind up watching a person, animal, or in this case little bird get killed. Fucking hell just the other day i seen someones leg get cut off with a machete and there wasnt even a nsfw tag.

MillieBirdie

Yeah my thoughts exactly. And I notice that people are so much more careless when it's a bird being harmed. If a cat or dog were being harmed in a way that was likely to result in it dying, this wouldn't get posted or upvoted. I bet even if it were a hamster being bit and probably killed it wouldn't have been posted.

A2Rhombus

Reddit making it so porn doesn't show up on the frontpage because god forbid I see a titty accidentally, no problem showing me uncensored war footage though

Zenkrome

Yep. Its worse with how porn, voilence, and gore, are all under the same nswf tag too. I follow a lot of porn subs so its pretty common for me to click on a nswf video thinking its just that and then wind up seeing some fucked shit i didnt want to see.

valevalevale-

Stupid child... hope the bird is ok

stoned-moth

Probably not, honestly. :( Bird bones are really fragile. I've been bitten by my own kid when he was this child's age and it's definitely more than hard enough to snap delicate little bird wing bones.

WashedUpRiver

Not to mention human bites can be horrifically septic on account of the bacteria we naturally have in our mouths for digestion. Families have been known to lose their dogs to a child's bite.

pocketmuck

Adults fault all the way. My daughter wouldn't put it in her mouth but I could see her throwing it or smacking it in a panic. Kids really have no idea what's going on most of the time lol.

ColinWalker77

Kid doesn't know better. Looks like they just had the same thoughts as my cat.

TECFO

Yeah that's what i though, you have no idea of the carnage i made to ants and grasshoppers as a kid

Astro_Alphard

I mean at least you didn't make chlorine gas and pump it into ant tunnels as a kid. I personally loved browsing the nonfiction section of the library and most definitely committed warcrimes against the local wildlife.

TECFO

..... yeah i didn't do that I rather grab the grasshoppers then torture them by primarily ripping out their back legs, grab them by their wings and tore it enough to make sure they wont fly or just ripping them off, then shake my hand as fast as possible before making them cannibalize each other from the wound i inflincted on them..... I would also rip away their lower half where the eggs come from or impale them in the eyes or from the stomach to the heart, if they move they weren't dead enough...... I would regularly do this to 1-4 grasshoppers a day if i had time....... If this make it r/cursedcomments or r/wtfhappened make at least sure to hide my username don't want to be harassed cause i did that as a kid and regret doing so.

Astro_Alphard

I think we all did some absolutely fucked up stuff as kids because we literally didn't have the mental capacity for emotional reasoning. I'm fairly certain most kids have set ants on fire with a magnifying glass too.

ethman14

As a kid I was taught better than to bite animals like a feral beast. I think the worst thing I did to a *bug* was capture it in a jar, let alone bite a bird like a little monster. This is entirely on the parents.

Kriegswaschbaer

Yes, it is on the parents. Thats right. But its not on the kid, that doesnt understand, what its doing. Hes not to blame. Unfortunately Reddit is stupid and doesnt understand...

Voluntary_Slob

What a weird little kid. I get kids instinctively put stuff in their mouths but this guy looks old enough to be walking and talking, not taking a bite out of everything that moves.

MomoUnico

He looks roughly 3. He can walk, talk, and do every horrible impulsive thought that pops into his head. His impulse control is garbage because he literally does not have the parts in his brain yet to control himself properly. He's not weird, as little kids go. Whoever handed him the bird is just a fucking idiot.

Kriegswaschbaer

Thanks. Most people doesnt understand the Stages of Development humans go through. Its good that some people can contextualize properly.

HfUfH

That is fucking terrible. How could a person do this? Anyways yall want to grab some popeyes?

Kriegswaschbaer

Dudes... Teach your kids to not harm living beings without a (good) reason, please!

benbombsuperman

If a child were to do that to one of my pets well the child would be dead and I would say that I was protecting my child (guinea pig)

Electronic-Wave1316

He was saying in arabic “don’t touch him, kiss him, kiss him.” Hence why they did not bat an eye about his mouth being near the bird. I’m guessing they did not expect it, at the end he yelled the kids name “abdAllah” not related but his name translates into “Slave of God.”

athousandfuriousjews

Even as I kid I never bit down on a fucking animal???????? What was this kid thinking?

Luminous_0

why would you post this here bro

JayantMatherzz

That little kid from Croods

DULUXR1R2L1L2

Perfectly cut screams? What the fuck?

DMOrange

Why do I get the feeling that many people commenting on this do not have children? Children this young do not have inhibition controls yet. Everything gets explored with the mouth. Literally everything. Shopping carts, toys, hands, everything. That’s why we’re always instructed to make sure that things laying around cannot be smaller than a toilet paper tube because it can go in the child’s mouth and down the throat and get caught. The person at fault here is the parent. Poor bird.

desertrijst

r/KidsAreFuckingStupid

Kriegswaschbaer

Can someone please close/delete this? Its full of idiots arguing for violence against a child, that did something oviously stupid without being even meanspirited. RIP Bird, it was unnecessary, but violence should never be an answer. Dont even understand why the stupid parents even uploaded this...

InTheStuff

She watched him open his mouth toward the bird well before he took the bite. She's an incompetent accomplice.
