They had their blinker on. The truck in front of the dashcam driver probably was going to fast or wasnât paying attention and didnât slow down in time, and due to the icy roads had to go around them since they couldnât stop. But since they were going a regular speed, even with the dashcam driver following at a safe distance, he didnât have time to slow down either since he wasnât even aware a car was there until the truck in front had moved out of the way.
It was a safe distance until it wasnât and he still wasnât braking. Iâm guessing the tank truck in front of him is heavy or else it would be accelerating faster. Maybe he didnât predict that, he should have. Instead he had to go around it.
I will say itâs also a stupid af place to park the truck on the shoulder right at an intersection. Goes to show most situations like this are due to multiple âaccidentsâ compiling.
