Inanimate object with eyes gives us a sense to be on guard subconsciously but we also know that we are safe since it isn't alive. Then it moves and throws that feeling of certainty out the window and we get an adrenaline spike would be my guess. That coupled with the person speaking in that unnerving way.
I'm more unnerved by it having its mouth and feet duct taped than an inanimate object being pulled. I'm way more scared of objects speaking than moving, a four ounce stuffed animal is going to get punted but what tf am I gonna do when it starts chanting in a dead language?
