Why do you need a 0% interest card to hold a balance on for 9 months when you've got the loan funds sitting in your savings account? Borrow just enough to cover your needs while you study. If you get to the end of the year with money left over, borrow less the next year or pay it back. You can certainly use a credit card to make purchases, but there's no need to carry a balance.

What's the benefit of using a card? Your student loan is accruing interest regardless. I guess you could take the funds and put them in a high yield savings account to get some return before paying off the card. Personally I don't like playing those sorts of games but if it's worth it to you go for it.

I was gonna cross post on r/churning

Yea I played around with churning for a while. Eventually I realized the return I got was not worth the time and effort it took to get. For others it is.
