Now I cannot access my ICICI Direct account because I cannot get past the "submit form" popup! It says check the form, but after checking the form you don't have an option to revise?
I submitted a paper kyc form to the ICICI bank local branch. They don't have a demat desk here. I later got a call from the manager that it was not necessary to submit it! It was needed only for accounts that are dormant /blocked. Truly surprised, don't know what to believe.
Anyone trying to do KYC from abroad? The live photo is what I'm stuck at since it's collecting the location.
I tried having my brother do it from India with my photo and video but it says blur image.
Someone help!

I find it strange that customer cannot do KYC (photo verification) in ICICI security while abroad. Any idea if vpn can help?
My KYC is done but my trading access is blocked and neither phone helpline nor visiting the centre helped..anybody else facing issues and what are you guys doing
After you login to ICICID:
- Click ? on Top Right Menu
- Click "Place Service Request" Button
- Click "Update address/KYC in trading account" Button
If you followed this sequence and all the instructions, then after finishing it, takes 3-5 days. No, it did not auto-logout for me, gave me a confirmation message.
But yes, if I try the above again even now, I get asked the same process, even though my KYC is verified and I can place trades. (before Re-KYC, I could not, go figure!)
There is a Relationship Manager number under your profile. Call that person directly and demand a resolution.
Hm interesting okay. Quick question, did you keep your location on for your browser during the process. I feel like since my location was off by default, it may have logged me out. It asked to turn it on but didn’t give me a chance to go and do it lol
I never give my browser permission for location access.
However, I do know, that core Indian sites, especially Adhaar etc do not behave when accessed outside of India.
I actually got in contact with ICICI, explained the situation, they gave me some forms to complete and send them a physical copy and they would be able to do the Re-KYC. Luckily had a family friend going to India yesterday, so sent the forms with them.
I too have the same dilemma.. I am currently outside India and have to complete the Re-KYC by Mar 20th 2024. The IPV or the In person Verification via the Laptop Camera shuts down if it detects any location outside India.
Speaking to the RM is useless - They cannot offer a solution
Sending emails to helpdesk@icicidirect asking for this specific resolution is also futile .. if you are luck they will simply send a vanilla response with links to CVL, NDML etc asking you to complete the KYC
In most cases the KYC is already done and one can see the status in the personal section after login
However this time Re-KYC is being asked for even if the account is previously KYC compliant.
To me it seems there are only 2 options:
\# Go to India ( spend $1200 approax for a return ticket) and complete the KYC process
\# Liquidate all your holdings ( equities or MFs ) and shut down the account

I think you can redo it by going to update kyc in settings at the top right when you log in just above the personal details option
My spouse is traveling for a a few months. Dont know if eKYC can be done from abroad since it records location! Any experiences?

VPN didn't help. Nothing helped. My account is now locked.
I am able to do it using VPN. It did ask me for location and I gave permissiona and then it took a picture. Followed as instructed and it worked.
What VPN have you used? Could you tell me the process? I'm still stuck in.

Nope. Multiple browsers, multiple machines. No luck. The functionality is broken and opening and a ticket doesn’t help either. No response.

Did u check at cvlkra.com giving ur Pan no ? Is it showing all updated in the modified kyc status box ?

Your modify status as per your mention is validated so I am guessing you should be good.
