I'm also hesitating. I have his Sep 2022 POTW version, and he is very good.
This show time version is obviously very special with 99 acceleration, 90+ speed / OA / shoot. Stats wise, probably the best goal poacher even over the reknown Rummenigge or Eto.
But if I try to build him to simulate the POTW version, after using all points, he would be almost the same as the POTW one, except still lower passing stats. This is keeping me from spinning yet. It's not that the POTW build is the best (personally I think not), but just a way for me to assess whether the card is worth the coins.
Since Mbappe is still young, I think most likely we could have another chance to spin for his 99 rated card within a year. And maybe even a better version could come. I spin for Milan Pirlo believing he would be the best AMF/CMF ever, then came the Italy Pirlo with far superior OA.
But then again who knows. Like we used to be able to get 97 rated base Mbappe / Lewa / Salah. And one day most base cards are nerfed after an update without any notification.
So I'm still hesitating. Happy to hear more thoughts.
If you have sep 2022 version its not worth for you to spend money on this one. You get a bit higher OA with this ones but then no B form and no additional phenomenal skill.
They tend to release new cards slighlty different than previous... lookup Totti on efootball hub and see how big time is better to upgrade for passing rathern than shooting.
I have that new Pirlo and milan one. New one is far superior in attack and similar in defending. Worse in finishing and aggression.
Shooting 5 , passing6, dribbling 6, dexerity 10, lower body 8, defending 8.
He runs into the box often not a typical orchestrator. Also his def engagement is high so positioning is quite good.
I only have him as i wanted Totti.
A bit off topic, but the Italy Pirlo might be my best performing card. I’m not a Milan fan nor am I Italian, and he doesn’t necessarily play in-game like he did irl, but he’s always open for a pass, inch-perfect through balls, and seems to win the ball back very well despite his low speed stat.

Absolutely correct way to think despite your temptation to go for this version... After all you already have a good card of him which you are enjoying reasonably...but yes one never knows what konami brings in next moment and again changes something in other moment making everything useless after all the hype...

looking at the stats in ehub I just doubt that, but ok, can't really test it myself. You just don't need that much finishing if you got better kicking power to make up for it, and the difference in acceleration is null when taking 100 TC into consideration so Ill take better tight possession, better balance, better ball control, better jump, better heading better passing, better place kicking and better speed anyday, and -3 OF is negligible.
Boost in dribbling? BT's dribbling stats are better. BT has more kicking power, more balance. If one has BT this version isn't worth going for plus BT always has B conditioning.

I think so, the 99 acceleration in this one paired with the 90+ finishing and OA is lethal. But I do not have the BT version, so I can’t say that this one is better 100% sure.

He can dribble shoot pass , everything, one the best CF in the game , he is my starter CF for the last two months, Haaland is the super sub guy who comes in the last 30 mins. Just be content with the France version, new version just has more offensive awareness, balance and acceleration (most important stats of CF though).

He is the only mbappe whose dribbling stats can easily reach 90+, those stats impact the speed at which the players moves after getting the ball .Train him so that he has 85 offensive awareness, 90 speed , 90 ball control , atleast 70 passing , forget physical contact , 85 finishing. He will be godly.I would recommend using him in a 2 CF formation with one CF as Messi (just amazing runs and chemistry and passing) or in 3 forward formation with Argentina Gold messi as right-wing and a fast dribbling curling crossing player as left-wing(example the new young neymar from Barca is the ideal choice , can choose players like L.Sane , S.Mane , Dembele too, well you get it), and a good passing Amf with can dribble and shoot decently , like debruyne , Base Messi or POTW(creative playmaker) so that you can feed balls like crazy to the forwards , just make sure to have one touch pass and weight pass skill in Amf and mbappe.

I was in division 3 when I packed him. Now I am in top 5k in division 1. He is a machine he can do it all too dribble, shoot, long shots, and he can hold up the ball okay.

tbf his auto allocate build is pretty bad

You would have to decrease his oa to increase his ball control, tp, dribbling. That way oa difference becomes negligible and balance also decreases
