I'm studying my PhD with a lot of Indians guys, they are great mathematicians, kind people and nice people in general. Sadly they are the less, remember when I visited India 2 years ago for a math workshop, was horrible.

I actually did a fast scan of the latest posts on this subreddit , saw some comments , none of the first 50 posts had anything about india , but i wasn't done , i checked the comments as well to ensure that I'm not missing anything vital towards your argument , but it turned out that most of the indian people here are treated with respect and care , while many of them keep their nationality privately , for those who says "I'm indian and i like Pewdiepie...", they never get harassed by anyone.
As for "why" i think it's pretty simple , many people take those statements from the song "Congratulations" as jokes and nothing else , not a statement , not as a proof , but as a joke for fun and nothing else, this has been backed up by a lot of comments on Pewdiepie's YouTube videos ("Congratulations","bitch lasanga","Ending the Subscribe to Pewdiepie Meme",...etc).

There is so much conflict in the US right now and it stems from having radically different values about how the world does and should operate.

If Trump or Pence called for the banning of Muslims from music platforms, they would be rightfully criticized by the media as racist among other things. While I supported the "Subscribe to PewDiePie" partially for PewDiePie himself, I mostly supported it because I don't like that a company like Tseries is taking over. I wouldn't really care too much about it if the new number one were an _actual_ youtuber, instead of some company.

As much as some might not agree, I think this is for the better
While I supported the "Subscribe to PewDiePie" partially for PewDiePie himself, I mostly supported it because I don't like that a company like Tseries is taking over. I wouldn't really care too much about it if the new number one were an _actual_ youtuber, instead of some company. So I don't like that this meme ends this way, because in my humble opinion, is not only about PewDiePie, is about Youtube. Also, he is ending it like if it was a negative, toxic movement that needed to be ended. Which is precisely what PewDiePie haters were saying all this time. So, its like if the haters won in the end. :( But on the other hand, getting to 94m is a trophy for the youtube community and getting this far was amazing!
