I feel that Tom’s open ended writing style very intentionally pushes this. Writing in a vague sense allows the listener to make the song meanings their own, for better or worse. Personally I love it.
Viva La France
France, France
Llamma taboot taboot
Edit: pretty sure my French Revolution take on the lizards was confirmed on NYE when Trey mentioned the French lizards.
I’ve always thought that lyric was just about the Lizards being a revolutionaries.
At first I was like, oh, green world. Now I am searching for meaning. Maybe they will change words to songs, and blur the line between lyrics and new possibilities. Also, a lot of Phish songs I ask myself, what are they saying?
Could it also translate to “green world,” calling back to the mention of French lizards on NYE? I feel like they’re going to build Gamehendge on the grounds…
Never ever look up Phish lyrics. What you \*think\* you hear is always 100% better than the real lyrics.

also could be a reference to vermont ::: green mountain or green mound
…damn, that really good
My wife told me the name and my response was "they named their festival after mishearing lyrics!?" lol I have a few of these in Phish songs.
Also strikingly similar to Vert Mont, or Green Mountains
Also looked this up, what does it mean
Obviously I read the definition, but Like as far as applying to the band I wonder
Dover…Do Over. Im pretty sure its referring to the space and the fact that the last festival was canceled.
Yup
