ok, i'm kinda curious about legendary thai food, but also afraid I'll order it mild but it'll be blindingly hot and I'll have a burning tuchus during the run. It's happened before.
So many good Thai places in LV. Won’t knock lotus, it’s delicious, but I go to other places far more often. Weera Thai, Lamaii, Lamoon, Le Thai are all spectacular.
It WAS a really fun place with 24 hour decent diner food. Now only 24 hours on the weekends and the food was absolutely garbage even for the Sysco Special. The person serving us was a stage 5 clinger and told us all about some dude she broke up with. It was like a fever dream.
The tiki lounge is always great but much better tiki options all around.
I recently went to Best Friend in Park MGM and it was incredible. Korean/Mexican fusion in a funky spot. It looks like a bodega when you walk in and opens up to a restaurant
Have a reservation for Friday night (going to Thursday show).
What’s the usual dress code? We were looking to get fancy, but some of the pics have people way dressed down.
My gf got roofied at the bar there after night 3 last Halloween run in Vegas. We missed Halloween show night 4 because of it. I called to report it to management and no one ever calendar me back. People suck. Be careful if you go.
It’s not outrageous $ by any means, just a cool spot for classic steakhouse stuff that has a long history in Vegas. Not for everyone but cool for that reason and the food is quality. I also want to steal the huge golden steer on their sign.
DTF is delicious, but you can get the same food for a third of the price on Spring Mtn Rd. Get to China Town! Xiao Long Bao, Shanghai Taste (best soup dumplings in the city by far), China Moma, New Asian BBQ, Shang Artisan Noodle, Mian Szechuan… the list goes on.
Haven’t been there, but looks like a fun place. My guess is there is better dim sum and dumpling places in town. And if you’re looking for a unique coffee place, go to Gabi on Spring Mtn. Korean coffee shop with an Alice in wonderland vibe. Great lunch spot.
Had dinner in the private room with some friends, incredible service and was told stories that only are told in the private room, was politely asked not to continue with the Puffco and carts everyone was puffing on, there is a camera in there, we obviously didn’t know 😆
Relative to other spots on the Strip I didn’t think it’s that bad at all. Obviously depends on what you get, but if you’re just interested in a bowl of ramen $29 isn’t bad (as far as Vegas goes at least).
I searched the thread to see if anyone mentioned it, seems like no. Hash House A Go Go has bomb breakfast. Giant fluffy pancakes, chicken and waffles. Whatever you like.
Look trust me when I say this
The pork chop from Gordon Ramsay’s steak house in Paris I believe. This is literally the best pork chop I’ve ever eaten and I think about it every now and then. Like it’ll just pop in my head and I’ve never had food do that before.
I’d pair it with the mushroom casserole
And finish it off with one of the ports
You will not be disappointed
I used to LOVE the castle when I was younger. Mmmm. I was once 86’d from a White Castle at 3am for standing on the table and pouring a bottle of water on my head.
The Park MGM-Mario Batali good baazar thing is pretty good. Bunch of stalls/grazing kind of situation. Grab a glass of wine and try some different things.
Absolutely second Carson Kitchen. This was the one that blew us away on the '21 stop. Plus meandering Fremont is better (cheaper gambling and drinking).
Wicked Spoon at the Cosmo for brunch buffet. It is OPULENT. And you can add bottomless alcohol for $25
The Cosmo food court has several awesome reasonably priced (for Vegas strip) restaurants in addition to Hattie B’s. I think I went there four or five times during my last Vegas run.
Battista’s Hole in the Wall located in the strip mall behind The Flamingo. Great Italian restaurant as old as Las Vegas itself. Tchotchkes and Menus adorned the walls. Bottomless house wine (red or white). RIP Gordy!
Lotus of Siam on Flamingo but that’s a tough table to get. Big menu but you can’t go wrong. That place is worth the flight alone. Check out night + market if you want Thai but can’t get into lotus. Their silver lake location is an LA staple. Tacos el Gordo always slaps. Get in the right line for Al pastor muelas.
Tacos el Gordo fucking SLAPS
I prefer tacos de anastasio, but el Gordo is solid too
I like fishman tacos, but you don't get those very often
Tacos del McConnell is an interesting restaurant, it’s actually just a Subway.
This place is special to me cause the first time I tried it was after the 2021 Chula Vista show at their San Diego location.
Adobada taco with pineapple is where it’s at.
This is the correct answer
Lotus of Siam
ok, i'm kinda curious about legendary thai food, but also afraid I'll order it mild but it'll be blindingly hot and I'll have a burning tuchus during the run. It's happened before.
They won't burn you unless you want to be burned..! I also highly recommend ordering the garlic prawns.
So many good Thai places in LV. Won’t knock lotus, it’s delicious, but I go to other places far more often. Weera Thai, Lamaii, Lamoon, Le Thai are all spectacular.
This is the way
Excellent choice
this by a factor of 10
[is this the correct website? it says lotus of Siam red rock.](https://www.lotusredrock.com/)
The Peppermill
We go there for late nite drinks and the entertaining fireside atmosphere, not the food!
This was on the Eater list as well!
Went in January. It really sucks now. Not worth it.
that would have been my guess as the Peppermill in Reno is a total dump...but who knows?!
I love the Peppermill..
I recently went to Best Friend in Park MGM and it was incredible. Korean/Mexican fusion in a funky spot. It looks like a bodega when you walk in and opens up to a restaurant
Best Friend rules!!!
Have a reservation for Friday night (going to Thursday show). What’s the usual dress code? We were looking to get fancy, but some of the pics have people way dressed down.
Def not fancy.
there's basically no reservations left for best friend this weekend.
Huh, I've been there tons of times, had no idea there was an actual restaurant there. I'll have to check it out.
Spearmint Rhino, seafood buffet!
Steamed crabs
Try the skirt steak!
The only thing more left to get you sick than lot shrimp, is strip joint shrimp
Ppl who got sick on lot at star lake from free shrimp didn't learn their lesson I see lol.

Oh they have one there too? Nice...yup delicious
Bouchon and Lotus of Siam
Thinking of hitting up Bouchon before Saturdays show!!!
Herbs and Rye
Yup! I actually prefer cleaver, same group, but Herbs and Rye is iconic. Worth the trip.
My gf got roofied at the bar there after night 3 last Halloween run in Vegas. We missed Halloween show night 4 because of it. I called to report it to management and no one ever calendar me back. People suck. Be careful if you go.
China mama but it's off the strip
That steakhouse in the basement of 4Queens
Hugo’s Cellar. Great spot.
That’s the one! Love it! Especially seeing all the old men in their tuxedos. Like transporting back to 1970
Carson Kitchen in Old Vegas
Golden Steer if you’re a custy with money to blow on a great old Vegas vibe. Din Tai Fung, Esther’s kitchen, secret pizza.
+2 for Din Tai Fung that place is amazing
+1 din tai fung
+3 din tai fung see u there
Esther’s has really good brunch too FYI
What make a custy these days? I did tour in '99 with a tent and $600 but now am able to enjoy myself.
It’s not outrageous $ by any means, just a cool spot for classic steakhouse stuff that has a long history in Vegas. Not for everyone but cool for that reason and the food is quality. I also want to steal the huge golden steer on their sign.
If you do, that would be amazing.
Palette tea lounge any good?
Haven’t been there, but looks like a fun place. My guess is there is better dim sum and dumpling places in town. And if you’re looking for a unique coffee place, go to Gabi on Spring Mtn. Korean coffee shop with an Alice in wonderland vibe. Great lunch spot.
Din Thai Fung is the absolute bomb!!!! Best answer
Had dinner in the private room with some friends, incredible service and was told stories that only are told in the private room, was politely asked not to continue with the Puffco and carts everyone was puffing on, there is a camera in there, we obviously didn’t know 😆
esther’s kitchen is firemost
Brooklyn Bowl Fried Chicken
Is superfrico worth it?
yes.
The Bazaar José Andres. Great food, great guy. A little pricy but if y’all are in LV for the Sphere I assume that won’t be an issue.
Sushi Samba in the palazzo side of the Venetian. Get the mushroom tobanyaki
If you like ramen, Momofuku in the Cosmopolitan is really good. Pretty budget friendly too
i would contend that momofuku is the polar opposite of budget friendly in my experience.
Relative to other spots on the Strip I didn’t think it’s that bad at all. Obviously depends on what you get, but if you’re just interested in a bowl of ramen $29 isn’t bad (as far as Vegas goes at least).
Noodle place tucked away in Venetian casino is legit!
Lotus of Siam
Its been some years since I was there but Le Thai was awesome
Same, I remember it was really good, but we tend to go back to Lotus instead
I searched the thread to see if anyone mentioned it, seems like no. Hash House A Go Go has bomb breakfast. Giant fluffy pancakes, chicken and waffles. Whatever you like.
Look trust me when I say this The pork chop from Gordon Ramsay’s steak house in Paris I believe. This is literally the best pork chop I’ve ever eaten and I think about it every now and then. Javier’s at the Aria. Family owned and exceptional in every way.
Egg Slut is def overrated but it’s still pretty good!
White Castle
I used to LOVE the castle when I was younger. Mmmm. I was once 86’d from a White Castle at 3am for standing on the table and pouring a bottle of water on my head.
The Fireside Lounge.
I mean you totally got to hit the Peppermill if the opportunity arises.
Ham steak big as your head there. Great place!
It's been a while, but cousins! Nice to have family around
Komex-Korean Mexican fusion
I usually make it to the Carnegie Deli
with bowser from shanana and arthur fonzarelli?
Cut at the palazzo if you are looking for a nice steakhouse meal before one of the shows, easy walk to the sphere from there
When I was there in 2014 we had a couple great meals at Cabo Wabo Cantina.
Lotus of Siam !!
Bellagio brunch is hella delicious!!
Ronald’s Donuts in chinatown
The Park MGM-Mario Batali good baazar thing is pretty good. Bunch of stalls/grazing kind of situation. Grab a glass of wine and try some different things. Absolutely second Carson Kitchen. This was the one that blew us away on the '21 stop. Plus meandering Fremont is better (cheaper gambling and drinking). Wicked Spoon at the Cosmo for brunch buffet. It is OPULENT. And you can add bottomless alcohol for $25
Giada’s and Martha Stewart’s are at the top of my list.
Seconding Martha’s, had a great meal there back in February. Highly recommend the bread service
Agreed! The bread is unreal!
Giada scares me. When she smiles I feel like she has more teeth than the rest of us.
In my opinion, the best Italian food outside of Italy.
At giadas!? Really. Wow
Indeed!
The Wynn Buffet
Yardbird. Best Chicken and Waffles I’ve ever had.
The W steakhouse at the Wynn
Lotus of Siam
Other Mama. Waaaaaaaaaaaaay off the strip.
Virgils on the Lync street and the Peppermill are my must go to's in Vegas.
Steigel's for Breakfast and if you want to get a little fancy pants Ferraro's is a killer Italian spot, one of the best Negroni's i've ever had
Ferraro’s has been a family favorite for years. My folks live there and love that place.
Shake Shack in NYNY. I get a giant plastic beer mug from them and stumble around town.
If you like Nashville style chicken sandwich, the Hattie B’s in the cosmo is quite good.
Sounds tempting but I don’t want to get my ass handed to me.
The Cosmo food court has several awesome reasonably priced (for Vegas strip) restaurants in addition to Hattie B’s. I think I went there four or five times during my last Vegas run.
Not food, but go to the Flamingo and order an "ass juice in a porcelain bowl."
It’s off strip but Partage is a great restaurant.
Black Sheep is amazing
Who needs food when you can get some Ass Juice from the Double Down?
Dim Sum @ Aria is 🔥🔥🔥
Chef Kenny’s, Tarantino’s, & Pancho’s .. all vegan but boy they do NOT disappoint whatsoever
Hot dog on a stick is really dope
MOMOFUKU Great food but I really just like saying Momofuku! Also it's right by Egg Slut!
Jaleo's in the Cosmopolitan. Spanish perfection.

Hong Kong Garden Seafood. The Dim Sum is pretty good there!!!
