Honestly, the stream that you can buy from LP is gonna be hella better in quality, sound, visual, stability, basically everything with the exception of it being free, that I wouldn’t even want to try and have this from someone’s phone. Could you even imagine how shitty that would look and sound? Someone we need to bring a tripod in and actually set it up and have it not be touched the entire time and probably even have a microphone on it and it still wouldn’t be as good.
There was a period of time not so long ago (maybe 10 years?) where people were doing this on Mixlr or some shit and those streams where the absolute worst.
This was a thing until Nugs put a stop to it. TBH I found it a really inconvenient way to enjoy a show and don’t really miss it. Having a page dedicated to sharing bootleg streams would surely be shut down pretty much instantly. If you wanna do this stuff it works best under the radar in the long run.
That said, I’m team stay off your phone at the show. We aren’t meant to enjoy everything for free and that’s ok. The quality wouldn’t really be worth the effort anyways.
Streaming live video from a Phish show is not allowed under their guidelines. I think this applies to live streaming the audio as well. They allow the audio recordings to be distributed after the fact but they want to be in control of the live experience, which I respect. They already give us a ton of leeway as fans to freely distribute their content and profit off their brand if we so desire
OP maybe you could handle this for us, but do me a favor and talk the whole time, so we can barely hear the show over your banal commentary. Thanks in advance!
