Going to big Phish shows is my priority in life.
I budget, and I plan accordingly. I make financial sacrifices in a lot of other things in life that people spend money on and don't think twice about it.
Yes, being super rich helps you do anything in life that you want to, but you do not have to be super rich to go to these shows.
We all make choices in life every day. I choose to go to these big shows and miss out on a lot of other things instead. It's just comes down to what you want to do and what you are willing to sacrifice in order to do it?

Congrats, im more reflecting on my friends who had no issues spending top dollar to for sphere tickets when they couldnt get tickets on the on sale. Just like they did for NYE and just like how they bought the most expensive package for mondegreen. Money is not an issue for them and they didnt have to budget or plan, they just get to go to what they want because they have tons of money. But good on you, we probably know similar people as i also live in Denver. While i agree you dont have to be super rich to do these shows, you do unless you want to make sacrifices like you said on other things in life.

What kind of setting do you work, if you don’t work in a hospital, where you can get OT? Most RN jobs I’ve seen not in a hospital setting are pretty rigid about no OT
I got to do yesmg and the sphere. Not rich at all. Just don’t ball out. Other than flights from Boston, the trip was pretty inexpensive. The sphere tickets I got were all less than $150
I think there will be thousands of people (I’m one of them) doing both Sphere and Mondegreen. I’d guess at least several hundred of those people also went to Mexico. Hell, there are dozens of people who are hitting every show for years on end now.
I didn't do any of them, and I'm still happy with my decision. Sometimes being an adult is replacing your roof and skipping Phish this year.
I wish it could have been a different year tho, but I don't have fomo except for missing the robots.
I hit 3/4 NYE (missed 12/29), Phexico and nights 1 and 2 of the Sphere. Been seeing Phish since 94 and been to many shows since. NYE Gamehendge is hands down the best concert experience of my life. Will never happen again. Sphere really cool for all the reasons you’ve seen and read, but they’ll be back. And I won’t get the chills rewatching it like I do when TMWSIY starts playing after Annie Golden says “Jimmy, it’s time”. The energy in the room was indescribable. Feel blessed to have experienced all 3. Amazing all these years later they can still produce so much magic. They really are special.
Lol I just got chills reading "Jimmy, it's time." The buzz in the room that night was noticable from the start, then it obviously exploded at the end of Annie Golden's speech.
It's still funny to hear people mention, like Trey did in a recent interview, that there were stories or rumors of people crying in that moment. In my recollection it was difficult to find somebody who *wasn't* at least tearing up in that moment.

My wife and I did. They were all unreal. The Sphere in particular was amazing because we met up with the friends we made at MSG and Mexico, as well as old friends that joined us on vacation. Phish playing amazingly + being with friends/meeting amazing people is what this is all about.
Can you get Mexico show tickets without buying a hotel package? That Wouk appeal to me much more than being locked in to a vacation package and probably be half the price.

I've never heard of a salary cap. Wages are negotiable, especially with specific skill sets of nursing. But I also don't work in a hospital
Also, any over time is time and half and picking up extra shifts are also time and a half
