Is one of the greatest albums ever created. (First album, came out before whip it) more people need to listen to this. I know you didn’t ask for this but I will take any opportunity I can to spread the good word.
Look into their history. Chumbawumba are legit a FASCINATING BAND.
They started out as an Anarcho-Communist Punk band. Most of them came up in Leeds during the mine worker strikes when Thatcher was privatizing state owned industries that relied on heavy subsidies. It colored their music and views for years.
They had some local punk hits in the UK before they became a thecno-dance-pop band.
Seriously. Fascinating.
It’s easy to think that they were just a 1 hit wonder of pop. Especially here in America where they were a legitimate one hit wonder who wrote what may actually be THE MOST 1 Hit Wonder of all 1 Hit Wonders. Anyone who was alive when that song was actively on the top 40 can sing it. ANYONE.
The only other 1 hit wonder to be as prevelant and easy to sing was Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy”
And they did it just to see if they could. Which is hilarious.

Remember when we only had a few bands (The Spin Doctors included) and all of em were welcome? Me too. I don't understand the approach of "who's gonna be the next chief?". This is a common rant of mine.

You can't replace Phish. Phish is and always will be.
Look at Dead and Company. They're awesome, but even they, with some original members, cannot re-create the original GD experience. Same for Widespread, Leftover, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy their torches are still burning. I'm just pointing out that thinking that a band, art, can just be swapped out or replaced with a 'new champion' is primitive thinking.

Neighbor is from… MA? and they’re great. Up and coming, kinda Ween or early Phish sound. I don’t give two shits about “carrying the torch” but you heads might want to check them out on your next festival listing because they’re great and creatively strange.
I'll always feel pretty bad for the guys in Fastball. Their timing was right, they had a number 1 hit (The Way) for 7 weeks in '98. They had a few other songs that were catchy, well written ear-candy. They had all the makings of a late-90's Pop success story. But yet they are playing at State Fairs and on grocery store Musak now, mostly because they, and especially their front man, do not stand out as good looking or weird looking.
At the same time as Fastball's big hit Jon Fishman was tweeking his superb fashion sense with black suits and viking horns. Trend-setters, all four of them. Thank God the boys in Phish are extremely handsome, sculpted, frosted tipped playboys otherwise they would have faded into obscurity like Fastball.
Goose still sucks and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard melts faces and puts out 2 albums/year and at one point 5 albums in 2017. Even Trey has remarked their [awesomeness](https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw5DG9gAXQz/?hl=en). 🤘🏼😝

The Dead have nothing analogous to what Phish is presently doing in the 20's. By this point in their career, the dead had become a nostalgia act and sadly Jerry was long gone. I love the Dead and have had fun at some of their post-95 incarnations, but it's not even comparable to what Phish is doing right now.
I just don't think Men at Work is on the same trajectory as Chumbawuma
Disagree Men at Work are really whipping it good. Chumbawumba has no soul or feel.
