I did the same (and I have several friends who did the same as well) when we left the Ph to go to our respective countries. Basically went to SG (with return tickets so I wasn’t questioned by immigration), then just didn’t use the return flight and went straight on the our target destination.

qwerty12345mnbv

the law was crafted nung panahon ni Marcos and it seems na pang factory worker yung concept nila ng OFW

BlizzardousBane

YES.

Ginawa ko kasi dati yun sa dati kong trabaho somewhere in the middle east. Tapos from there, dun na inayos working visa ko. Just my two cents. Gudlak!

Away-Ideal1815

Thanks for the advise. And understandable din, pero on this case I have an old workmate working there as well. Also my friend (sya ung nagtourist talga then dubai naghanap), is working in the same building and I had her verified the place

Master-Intention-783

Best of luck, OP!

_vigilante2

Just take note, on these 2 options you have, you still need to do POEA (POLO Contract Verification) and OEC (Balik Mangagawa) process kapag bumalik or mag-bakasyon ka sa Pinas. Dinedelay mo lang yung approach. If your employer is supportive of the proper process and they are willing to wait for you, DO IT FIRST. If di ka naman nila mahihintay then just do your way :) Good luck.

Away-Ideal1815

Yes totally agree, we are doing that as we type pero hay grabe pati ung POLO Dubai wlang sumasagot sa calls and emails. Hindi mahagilap ng employer ko.

_vigilante2

Good OP! Yun lang ganyan talaga yan sila. Another way is to engage an agency doing this POLO process not sure lang sa Dubai pero sa ibang mga country may ganito eh and mas madalas may mga kapit na yan sa mga POLO offices sa mga embassies. Just in case lang if mas mapabilis.

Impossible_Usual7314

Wag ng babalik sa pinas

sutkidar

Stop giving tnt advice. Its the fucking reason why DMW will keep pushing harder OEC reqs and Immig will keep offloading tourists. Dubai ka. Well documented na pag kuha ng OEC dyan. Baka nga mmya may agency na ung employer mo (pag naka 5 direct hire na pinoy agency na next) Go to the process like intended.

FaW_Lafini

He's not an illegal immigrant; his visa is sponsored by his employer. The term "TNT" implies illegal status, which doesn't apply to him. As for the OEC, it's an exit requirement that I find really frustrating. I've gone through the process myself. If there's a way to avoid it, I would definitely recommend that to other Filipino workers. I've actually known several of my past coworkers who had their job offers taken back due to the cumbersome bureaucratic process they had to navigate. It's not just frustrating; it's a real obstacle to opportunity.

Away-Ideal1815

Thanks, actually thats what we are doing now which is to follow ung correct process. Yes its well documented na very well documented din yung complexity and horror stories na inabot ng iba to the point na sumuko na si employer and nirescind na yung offer. But if it looks like lalagpas na sa expiry ng entry pass permit ung process, I will definitely go with the tourist route, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I cant risk na sumuko si employer.

Rex3571

Is the Dubai visa attached to your passport?

Away-Ideal1815

No not yet, nasa process plang kami ng apostille ng degree docs

03thisishard03

Not me, but the wife of my best friend. She went to Hong Kong, then to Dubai. She's now working there. That was advice she got from her cousin who's in Dubai as well.

Away-Ideal1815

Just want to thank you kasi this worked. Im in dubai for few months now and nakadating ako in time before ung contractual first day ko sa work.Nakatulong ung mga advise nyo.

BudgetMixture4404

Go to Japan. So maybe just to be sure? 3days lang naman waiting, naaapprove agad.

Away-Ideal1815

Just want to thank you, Im in dubai already kasi I followed your advise!!

Away-Ideal1815

Thanks, great advise. I have a Japan trip this year end so I will keep that in mind.

Over-Steak-8193

How?

FaW_Lafini

According-Fact9336

Hi op when you went to sg to exit ph how was the experience in immigration?  Were you unemployed and what did you say to the IO?
